Hey Jake, awesome video. You make any guitar sound awesome. Love your videos! I think i saw you had a video about fixing fret sprout or you may have just mentioned it in a video like this one. Whats your preferred way to file down fret sprout? Have you done a tutorial?
8ish Kohm is what 1950s humbuckers generally were, including the bridge pickups of venerated late 1950s Les Pauls. Better definition than hotter wound pickups, and a good choice for an Esquire.
Great video Jake. I just snagged one also. Gave it a run through. Pretty good for a $199 guitar. The pup is a bit muddy. I was thinking of installing a spare SD pup, but I think I'm gonna throw in a treble bleed to tighten things up a bit. Hope you're doing great. :)
With this being more rock/metal oriented. That routed out neck pickup cavity could also be a good spot for a 9v battery, if you swap the bridge to something active. At that point, I would buy an extra pickup guard (tele shaped aftermarket pickguards and salvaged pickguards, are pretty cheap and abundant) to modify for easier battery removal.
Very Cool, Thankyou. Awesome Demo/Review. I have been interested in these guitars for a while and have only hesitated in getting one due to The Humbucker Pickup instead of the typical Esquire Single Coil. You displayed how awesome this pickup sounds, Nice Work. May get one soon. All the Best. Cheers
When you restring use the eye end of a string ..thread it thru the hole and lift…I really my Esquire changed out the pickup for a dirty fingers , changed the nut and string tree , brass saddles , CT’s pots ..it rips
"Coming out with Barney colours" 😂 Damn I could listen to you riff like that all day! Great chops dude✌️ p.s purple is my favourite colour, so I'm sold!
Just got this exact one! I got a fantastic deal on it too (149) and had gotten it to do a frankencaster build, but I'm really liking it as is. It sings with my proco rat clone and the sustain is ridiculous compared to my higher end stuff. I'm afraid to swap stuff out and ruin it lol.
I got one of these on a black Friday deal. II especially like the cold rolled steel bridge plate with six saddles. I plan on changing the knobs and possibly the pickup to allow coil splits? Thanks for sharing!
Hi. I have the white one and dont like the humbucker. Do you think it will make a difference installing an emg 81? Im wondering if the rest of this tele will still hold the tone back..thanks
I usually say what I use I just forgot to in this video lol but I’m very simple I have boss katakana 50 and I use the EVH 5150 Overdrive and the reverb and delay I use from the amp and getting that pedal had changed my life lol. I’ve tried every distortion pedal and metal distortion but never thought an overdrive would give me the sound in been looking for and I highly recommend you getting that combo
@@jakethefate Wow you mean the MXR EvH 5150? This is not that simple for me... 250€ pedal its 100€ more than my guitar haha I think i will start with a cheaper pedal, but yeah i will take note from that its better an overdrive than a distortion 😄
Wow. I’ve made my own telecaster that looks EXACTLY like that one. Except it has a Floyd Rose, banana headstock guitar neck, and the paint is a lighter purple. That purple is killer though. KEEP ROCKIN’!
Dude the Kramer Barretta specials! I have like 3 of them and I love all of them iv modded them 2-3 years ago and to this day I have 0 issues and I use them everyday, absolutely love the necks on those guitars! Those and the Jackson JS32 have amazing necks for their price range man 🔥
Nice review and demo! You have an easy-going style; it feels like we're just kind of hangin' out in the living room, shootin' the breeze!
i don't think I ever heard a Squire sound so good, props!
that's cuz you haven't heard MINE! cheers brotha ;p
You haven't been listening
Great demo! Getting shadows fall vibes 🤘

this is hot like they say I have one the impedance is only one factor it sounds like a noiseless single coil

Great playing and a really nice guitar!
Nice ! Thank you. Great playing

Killer tone! 😱🎶🎶🎶🔥

The neck pickup Brad Paisly uses is called a Secret Agent and it's made by Duncan.

Before you insert, bend the tip of the string about 45 degrees. This way, the sting will be lifted and easier to take out the other end of the saddle.
My kind of guitar. I'm getting one and loading it with a Dimarzio Tone Zone with a parallel switch in place of the tone knob.
"Coming out with Barney colours" 😂 Damn I could listen to you riff like that all day! Great chops dude✌️ p.s purple is my favourite colour, so I'm sold!
Love the way you play 🤘🏻

Would the casing for the current humbucker fit the emg81 ? Really wanna try out this guitar but I'm not sure about the actual dimensions.
Damn great playing I vibed to that song! What is the name of the song?

Which amp or pedals are you using for that epic sound bro?😊

Looks pretty decent! Could be fun.
You don't need to shield humbuckers, is why that's not painted.

Great track man , 💪
I'm stuck between getting this or the Kramer baretta special. I know it might be a tough call but which do you prefer?
