Oh be ready :D Currently i have a Hackintosh (only viable option right now!!) for Media Offload, Transcoding and Dailies. Powered over a UPS, of course. I am assembling my own cart the next weeks and hope to find some time to film the progress. Specs: i9 9900K, Vega 64 Water Cooled, 1 TB NVME SSD Samsung Evo 970, 2x 1TB Samsung Evo 860 with 32 Gig 2666MHz RAM (Kingston!), integrated Thunderbolt 3 Ports, USB of all Generations and Speeds. I am still putting together a Direct attached Storage System, but boy are these pricey to get started. And the Cart Build is pretty expensive until it is finished (still cheaper than buying anything manufactured). Drooling over your Monitors there....
But i have some remarks: I won't ever have a cupholder on my cart! In my opinion this encourages other people to have liquids around my cart and that is big no for me. I will step back to take a drink and keep distance myself. Just a little precautios, but i had a slightly water damaged system once because someone accidentally flipped a cup on the cart. No liquids in a 2m area around it, i dont care who you are.
What do you have on your DIT cart? Let's talk about it, and #geekout together!

@@robertbogs436 Good luck with that one. If you can get that to happen on a production shoot, you're good to go.
@@robertbogs436 Sounds like a good system!
