Just to clarify, since there's been some confusion in the comments...
Although I said I had bleached hair before and dyed it brown, that was over 10 years ago!
So, all of that grew out and my hair in this video was COMPLETELY virgin.
Sorry for not explaining that properly!
Also, yes..using that toner the first time was a waste and, even the second time, wasn't as helpful as another toner might've been.
Yes, your hair was definitely not light enough for that toner! It only works on really pale yellow hair

Jess Lemos Tester In the shot with you wearing the shower cap i could see that your hair had dropped down into the bottom of the cap. The heat from your scalp makes the bleach work faster/better, that’s why the length of your hair bleach less...you didn’t “miss bits” or put less bleach on.
The coconut was a waste of time. The bleach burns straight through it...If it didn’t your hair wouldn’t bleach.
Something like Argan oil is good for your hair as a leave in conditioner, not coconut oil (that’s better for keeping moisture in skin not hair).
Castor oil is good for your scalp & eyelashes/eyebrows.
NOTHING (other than regular scalp oils) is worth applying BEFORE bleach.

tip for anyone planning on doing this at home! in the salon we rinse out sections as they process- meaning if we start at the back and finish in the front, then we rinse out the back whenever it’s as light as we want and let the front continue to cook until it matches :) this prevents the back from over-processing and breaking the hair, while allowing the front to get where it needs to be so you dont need to re-bleach. there’s lots of other great tips in the comments too, but as someone who used to do stuff to their home before going to school and has been “traumatized” by some salons, this video and the comments are a pretty good reference to do so yourself lol

Tip for next time: If you want a cooler pink; mix in a liiittle bit of blue or purple in your mix, so that it looks a little more lavender. This will counter-act the yellow bleach tone in your hair and give you a less peachy pink and more of a cool pink ^_^

So I did my own dip & dye I had to bleach my hair 2x to obtain light brown/dark blonde colour. I chose dark pink dye(some local collaborated with Korean brand) & it came out a dark pink/orange shade similar to Hayley William’s orange hair. I was stunned but I was impressed too.
Almost a month and now my hair is somewhat orangey brown & I can’t wait to slap red dye on it.
So well, I like the unintended orange hair, it was unusual as Asians in my town were staying away from that bright orange.

I found your video as a guide to do my own hair because you were the only one who did it step by step & actually took time to explain, list the products, & show that the box instructions arent always right for every hair type. Girl, first time I saw it I just skipped through. Shouldn't have done that. Thanks! I was nervous at first too but I realized that, at the end of the day, it's just hair! Just do your research and you should be fine :)
Next time you bleach your hair make sure to use foil because the reason why the bottom is darker because there is not as much warmth as the top of your head to process! Using the foil the bleaching will be more even because it will retain heat! 💕💕

I really wanted to but I felt like it was too hard to do by myself, so during the second time I just wrapped foil around my whole head when I was done and I think it helped a bit.

You can color your hair damp when it comes to semi permanent but just not soaking wet! And next time don’t waste the toner just wait til you bleach it again because the lightest ash blonde is for level 9 (pale yellow) or it won’t really work. You could’ve done like the t14 which is better for orangey hair. And the second time you bleach just drop down to a 20v and you’ll be fine. Either way you did really good!!

T18 will only tone hair that is a level 10 or higher!! That is why it didn’t work! If you would have used a T16 or something it would have definitely toned your hair!

Handy tip for bleach! Start at the mid lengths, then do the ends, then do the roots. It’s weird but it lifts even then. ^^
Thank you so much for the tip, I just did it and yeah I got the best ombré result I have ever had to make my hair lighter to apply pink! I actually will mix magenta blush with clear blush to get two shades of darker and brighter pink hair !

The roots are lighter because the heat from your scalp causes the product to lift your color faster. Final product looked great 👍🏻

Start at end to root but leach an inch of root for 15 mins to allow time to process and then do roots. You don’t need to wait a week, there no difference in hair quality in a week. Using the right developer is what can make the difference in damage in time taken to apply and develop. Defo start at back of head and do the perimeter last as the hair round the sides tends to be thinner

May I ask what lip colour you have on? looove it
The histrory of your hair determines what comes out when you bleach so if you have colored your hair before all those layers of coloring are still in the hair at the bottom it never just goes away or washes out completely , so the root area and middle part will always lift lighter as there is fewer layers of coloring . Professionally we always start bleaching at the end or darkest point and until that is light enough you move up towards the roots in sections!

Semi-Permanent is not a dye. Its more of a "rinse". It doesn't last very long especially with frequent washes. Using without the conditioner will give you more color. It come out gorgeous 😍

Not sure how I missed watching your first pink hair video. My colorist recommended I make fresh bleach when I get to the front sections, since it takes me longer to apply them him and the bleach stops processing after so long. Just a tip for anyone attempting to bleach roots or whole head. That may be why your last front section didn’t lift as well as the rest. Anyhow, you’ve learned way more since this first pink hair vid. I love the color it came out. I started with baby platinum pink is what I called it, my hair was already blonde to start, but after bumping up pigment and experimenting with colors, I got more of a peachy bubblegum pink, and love the peach tones.

getting my hair bleached professionally tomorrow (because I don't trust myself to bleach it at home) in a sort of natural color into blonde ombre type thing and then once that's done I'm dying it pink! I bought the frose pink and arctic mist diluter from arctic fox and I am so excited to go pink. I've also been wanting this for ages and I'm finally doing it tomorrow! I want it pastel pink, similar to your color, so I am gonna try for that though my stylist isn't sure she can get my hair that light with the bleach she has just because covid is really messing up orders for that type of stuff and my hair is pretty dark. My hair is virgin hair, it's been several years since I dyed or bleached it and I'm gonna get the ends trimmed too (I trimmed them before but I want them a tiny bit shorter). Hoping it turns out nice!
Frose is actually already pastel so you shouldn’t dilute it. You also need platinum hair for that one, so I would actually recommend exchanging it for Virgin Pink so you can dilute it a bit with Arctic Mist but still have good coverage over whatever blonde you’re able to get. Hope that makes sense and good luck on your hair journey!

I found your channel from your removing pink video and I wanted to say you’re so pretty! And the blonde turned out pretty good I think one more round and you would have had the perfect shade of blonde. Also if you ever plan on going this type of shade of pink again, Arctic Fox just came out with another shade called Frosé and without diluting it, it turns out this type of shade. Super pretty (:

I kind of want to try it but I'll probably have to use an entire bottle for my hair, where as with diluting this one, it lasts me sooo long
Jess Lemos Tester yeah my hair is a little past my shoulders and I had to use a whole bottle. But my hair is also super thick. but you’re right. I’m sure if you used their other baby pink color and diluted it, it’d be the same and you’d get more uses.

The reason it's lighter closer to your head and really dark at the ends is because your hair higher up is newer and more supple, but your ends are older and more dead and dry, thus the bleach doesn't take as well.
