Going Platinum Blonde at Home & Then Dyeing My Hair PINK (again)

- ► As I mentioned in my video where I bleached my own hair, I wanted to eventually lighten my blonde some more. So, after 3 months, I went platinum so I could then get a more pastel pink with Arctic Fox Virgin Pink. It was quite the process, especially with my roots being pretty long, but I'm very happy with the results!

wow sis you are 31! I thought you were in your early 20s haha. ive also had newly bleached hair and have been pink for the past few months too and have been figuring out what i wanna do, so its nice to know your hair still looks pretty good after being bleached 3 times, so it gives me hope if i wanna go platinum lol. nice video and thanks for sharing! love the ending shade of pink
Haha I'm glad I look younger! Thank you! Yeah, as long as you take your time and don't bleach it too many times at once, your hair should be fine. Of course, everyone's hair is different, so just be careful!
Obsessed with your fresh pink shade, Jess! We can't wait to see what you do next! 💞
Thank you so much! You guys have so many amazing shades; I can't wait to try out a bunch of colors!
You did so good!!
Thank you!! :)
This turned out soo good!
Thank you!! :)
Wow girl it looks so good
Thank you so much!
Looks awesome!!
Thank you! :)
No way! You came up In my recommended literally a few hours ago & I’ve just watched all your hair videos then this came up 👌🏻
Aw that's awesome! I hope you're enjoying them :)
the platinum looks gorgeous on u❤️❤️❤️
And I LOVE the platinum color on you! 💕
Thank you!!
You did a very good job!! Both the blonde and pink suit you
Thank you!! :)
You are carrying the blondeee so well
Thank you! :)
it looks beautiful you did better than a salon and they would have damaged your hair and since your hair is so long would have costed a fortune keep doing it yourself looks amazing
Looks great. I think this shade looks good on people I might try 😉
It's a very fun shade!
Amazing
Baby flamingo color!! Veeeery cool 💥💥
The last time I went to a hairdresser I showed them a photo or an orange tone and got something completely different, he damaged my hair so much, my scalp got burned. Never again will I trust a hairdresser, I've literally have done a better job myself other times. Got some extra tips from you! Thank you! Loved the outcome!
Wow 😍
I’m heading to do this right now to go to Sally’s
Looks great when you do your roots if you let it grow out more then 2cm it doesnt get the heat from your scalp so it leaves banding or sometimes spots its easier when there is not so much regrowth 4 to six weeks depending on how fast your hair grows
Thanks! Yeah, that's how often I do it now
Hi! I think I solved your blonde hair not taking color and why your roots took color more than the rest of your hair: Basically, bleach removes pigment from the hair. It also removes protein from the hair. The simple answer to why over-bleached hair doesn't hold color is that the bleaching process removed too much of the pigment and protein inside the hair, basically making it like swiss cheese.
Great video
Thanks!
I really freaking ass love💖It!😁
Thank you!!
I somehow really really like the dark roots on you, but either way you did a fantastic job!
Thanks! I don't mind a little bit of a dark root but I think it was a bit much!
oh they also carry a toner conditioner if the color is too bright at sallys also it lightens temporary colors if to bright i actually get the lightest pink and keep it in all night and it gets me the color i want
Your blonde hair half up and half down gave me some Daenerys vibes from game of thrones lol.
That’s what Caleb said! 😂
Whenever you bleach it do you tone at all or no?
i get compliments all the time on my pink hair and they sell a pink shampoo to keep it up its so worth it they sell it at walmort and sallys
For future reference, I found that the Schwartzkopf Igora Vario blond Extra Power bleach is the least irritating to the scalp and less damaging to your hair then other bleaches. I didn't feel any discomfort when I applied it recently. It is also by far the best I've ever tried.
I actually haven't had any issues since but thanks for the tip anyway!
Love it. I want my hair this color. Unfortunately healthcare says no. 😢
Thanks! Hopefully someday you can dye your hair this color too :)
Hi jess! I went through all the phases just like you and totally connected with your videos. Lol 🤣 I'm at the part where I want to take the pink out and get my blonde more light. I saw you used the Malibu blonde did u use it after each bleach or before? Thanks for the great videos!
I only used it once after I had bleached the bottom half of my hair and noticed it didn't lighten much. So, I'd say just use it after bleaching if you feel like your hair isn't getting lighter. Hope this helps!
@@JessTester thank you!! 💖💖 Can't wait to see what your next hair color is!!😍
Did you tone your blonde at all after bleaching or go straight into the pink?
I didn’t tone; just went straight in with the pink!
is the blonde at the start just from when you bleached it twice in november? looks way blonder!!
Yep! This was the first time bleaching after that first video. I think the lighting just wasn’t the best when I showed the blonde before
Does that Fox - pink hair colour recommend adding conditioner to lighten the result? All of the toners/semi-permanent hair colours that I have experience using do NOT advise that! Many products produce a clear &/or white to control intensity. I’ve never used that Fox brand though.
Arctic Fox has their own diluter but conditioner works just as well and I save money this way
Ps love it on u soo cute🥰
Thank you! 😊
How long did you keep the pink dye in your hair? 10 minutes or 20,30 how long

even if i could, i really enjoy doing my own hair at home, i know it sounds weird but I’m excited to do my roots next week, and it’s probably because my hair is thin and a short bob length so it’s not as much work, but it’s still a lot of work, and also thank god my scalp doesn’t hurt me, it gets a little bit itchy but it’s not bad, that’s probably why i still enjoy doing my roots
I wish I enjoyed doing my roots but I really don't! I love doing colorful hair dyes but bleach is always a bit stressful for me

Oh it’s DEFINITELY stressful!! First time i did it my hands were shaking, but somehow i still enjoy it??😅, also yes!! Color is way more fun!
@@ranrae3712 I think I would enjoy it more if I wasn't always scared of my hair falling out 😂
Jess Lemos Tester
I just keep telling myself it’s okay it’s quarantine no one has to see it, and that calms me down a little bit😭😂

Wow, good job, I'm imressed :D
Thanks :)
hello
I like! Keep it up! Would you like to be UA-cam friends? :)
Oh girl it’s because u diluted the pink too much so ur hair wasn’t light enough to pink up the light pink except the really light blonde spots that’s y ur roots look hot pink
Oh my hair was definitely light enough! I still dilute the pink that much to this day (this video is from 8 months ago). It gives me such a pretty pastel pink, which is exactly what I want. Freshly bleached hair just takes the dye more, so I've learned to do that part last. You can see how that looks in pretty much every video after this one!
She needs Foiling lessons. LOL
She's not a hairstylist, she was just doing me a favor, so I don't think she wants to learn how to foil like a pro lol
NEVER USE 30VOL ON YOUR SCALP 🤦🏻♀️ 20VOL MAX!!!
11 years experience here!!! Leave it to the professionals!!
You did a good job but please people read manufacturers instructions!!!
Also using a cream bleach on your scalp is better for you! It’s got a nice oil in to protect your scalp!
20vol is not good for brown almost black haired people even on the scalp. 30vol is fine for roots if they are super dark
Tillie Vogt no offense I’ve just done research and I went to my moms school with her for this a lot
