You can use this method of making a boned strapless dress to create a dress that suits your style. You can keep it simple without the tulle and bodice embellishments, or go as elaborate as you like!
I was surprised by the tulle on the outside of the sequins. I thought it would hide that beautiful fabric, but I love how it shines through. And that twirl!!
Sheer fabrics over sequins work beautifully. It just makes the sparkle a little more subtle. I do love a slow mo twirl in a sparkly dress lol 💖
Finished dress is fabulous.
Thank you for your thorough and step by step videos. I have never made a strapless dress or used boning before, but your instructions helped me sew a velvet gown for an event, and the bodice was so supportive I didn’t even have to wear a bra as I wasn’t worried about it falling down or gaping anywhere. You are a wonderful dress maker. Thanks again.
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you 😊 😊😊
Stunning dress; came here for boning tutorial, and have learnt loads more. Thank you!

how many meters of tulle you used in all dress?
and how many meters fo tulle in one layer??
plz answer me❤️
I used about 14 meters of tulle in total. You need to cut 4 pieces of extra wide tulle to the length that you want each layer and join them together. To work out how much you'll need as yours might vary in length from mine, measure the length you need for each layer, add them all up and then times it by 4 to get the total meters you'll need to buy. Hope that helps.
Hi, I’m trying this method of hemming. I have watched the video multiple times, and tried repeatedly to do it to a 1/3rd size strapless princess gown. After watching the video for the 6th or 7th time, I see something that really confuses me. When you pin the seams only, from the wrong side, it is already right sides together. Then when you start pulling the skirt up through the back that you leave open, it looks like the dress is now right side out.
You need to pin the hem right sides together after you pull it through the back opening. Hope that helps.
When you place the lace on the bodice, did you cut away the mesh?
I did. I cut it out roughly as I pinned it on then cut away the mesh neatly up to the edges of the lace parts as I stitched it.
you are damnnnn fantastic
Could this style of bodice be used for a dress w/o a waist seam. If so how?
Yes - you can either cut the lining with the waist seam and bone it like this then cut the outside without the seam, or you can cut both layers without the seam and bone the lining to a few inches below the waist. Hope that helps.
What is the material of the satin?
Polyester
Rockstars and Royalty nice thanks💕
