Best review on anything I’ve ever seen. You gave your honest opinion, actual solutions to issues some of us have and products to use, no mumbo jumbo, no useless knowledge none of us care about. Stellar review my friend, stellar review.

I just wanted to jump in here and say, “Thank you man. I greatly appreciate it.” Finally, a video worthy of a comment. I am just getting into the long-range shooting community and am going to setup my bipod exactly as you have done here. Thank you so much for the valuable info.! Give ‘Em Hell out There!!

Outstanding video. Very informative. My only gripe would be no links to the accessories you used. Thanks!

The pod-loc and anchoring my bipod feet properly were my two biggest contributions to better accuracy.

This is a great review. I've been using Champion bipods which are good for the money and modeled after Harris, but when using upgrades they do require a bit of machining.

The swivel, notched Harris with a pod loc and upgraded feet is still the best overall bipod on the market. I have tried the ultra expensive bipods and they all have significant disadvantages to the Harris.

Can you please tell me where I can find the tanks speedy knob? A link would be very helpful.

Terrific video! I just bought the PASS legs so that I can use Atlas bipod feet on my Harris. How much added length does the PASS adapters add? Does the Harris 6 to 9 become a 7 to 10? An 8 to 11?

    • @longrangenovice2966
      @longrangenovice2966  7 років тому +1

I installed the Khantrol PodMod Adapters not the Core Shooting Solutions PASS Adapters. The Khantrol PodMod Adapters with the regular Atlas rubber feet installed add 1" to the leg length making a 6-9 a 7-10.

great info..Why not but the Atlas? Or is it not as good as the Harris Bipod.

    • @longrangenovice2966

I have an Atlas V8 and a 5H. They all have their advantages. The Harris is simple, deploys quickly and is about half the cost. I had a couple Harris and just wanted to improve them a little.

@@longrangenovice2966 HI! I was a welder/fabricator fo 25 years before retirement and going g into training race horses fir a living.
So I took an Atlas,Harris and Caldwell and a Champion bipod and compared them side by side.
Of these 4 the Champion brand from Walmart is better made and better constructed.I took samples from all of them and bent them to see which had better strength and flexibility. The Champion won all the tests.
I don't care who has a bigg er name
I don't use these much anymore I re after I bought a SEB and a Tier One.I recently bought a Phoenix bipod too for anither custom rifle.
Thank you fir the reply That question you reied to was 2 years old.I still appreciate you time to respond though.
      Have a Merry Christmas.
      Thanx

Wrong IMO. going this route is still a pricey one, but still a cheaper alternative to the real Atlas for sure.

Sometimes there is “no better” and you overcome, adapt, and improvise what you have.
