OMG! You two quite literally just saved my Noriko Jackson! I loved the stock photos and spent the money on a truly gorgeous wig that simply did not look good on me. It sat on the floor of my closet in it's box for the past six months. I watched this video a couple of times and followed you step-by-step to put those wispy bangs in and, yes, even change the part. I absolutely LOVE the final result and now will get a LOT of use out of her. Thank you SO VERY MUCH!
I got a good chuckle or two out of those stories! Love these customizing videos, please keep doing them! And, Kim, you are looking especially pretty today!
I live in Northern California and just found you guys last week. I love you two and really wish I could have a consultation with you both at your shop! Thanks for all the videos and great content!
Reminds me of Suzanne Summers!! I just started wearing Jackson....have always wore monofilament top and lace front, thought I would try Jackson.....tweaked it a little and really like it. Nice job ladies!!!
I love that Jackson wig. It's giving me 80s Heather Locklear vibes and that is the hair I've always wanted!! Also I love the wig Misty is wearing, it's so pretty and natural looking! I live in Massachusetts and I wish I were there to visit your shop.
Yes. I always always thin my wigs, especially the cheaper ones really need customization. I think that the fullness makes them look unnatural. This looks really nice on her and NATURAL. Thanks for sharing
OK, so my Jackson sat in her box for over 2 years, too much hair for old bald me. I washed her once and put her, promptly, back in her box. After watching this, I got up the courage to change her part from right to left and combed most of the offensive permatease out, thinned her a bunch and took a teensy bit off the length. With a bit of my Helen of Troy convincing her, I now have a new style for fall. Thanks, ladies! Love ya bunches...
I love your videos so much!! I lived in Plano for many years and moved back to GA a few years ago. I bought "falls" from Mimi's in the mid-late 90's and have been wearing full wigs for many years now. Wish wish I could run down to your store for styling. I wore RW Voltage for several years and it didn't require any additional styling. Two years ago I decided to go blonde and have been wearing JR Ignite which I love. Planning to come to Dallas in the next few months and look forward to meeting you two and choosing some new styles. XOXO PS - I remember Mimi so well.....she is a beautiful lady!!
I have to tell you, I absolutely love Jolie. It's got to be one of the "easiest" wigs to wear. I'm not sure I know anyone who can't wear a great bob! Great video :)
Funny wig story: years ago my best friend was in the middle of a bad divorce. She had asked her mom to fly up to San Francisco from Phoenix to help her move back to Arizona. They packed up all her stuff and headed down the coast toward LA. Her mom decided they had to make a stop at Disneyland since her mom had never been! So.....in the middle of this extremely emotional time for my friend, there they were waiting in line for hours to go on The Space Mountain ride! They got on, went through the ride which scared her mom silly. When they came out into daylight, my friend looked at her mom, and her mom’s wig had completely turned around on her head! It was backwards!
I just love watching how you customize a wig, and love watching the razoring and texturizing techniques! Misty makes it look effortless and perfect everytime!! Wonderful talent, and lots of practice I guess! Really enjoy your video's. Thanks for all your efforts! :) ~~Mavis~~ ps: I'm sure the Noriko Head Office would love to hear the wig in the gutter and washing machine story!! Good testimonial to show the quality of their product!! LOL

Barbie Sheffield yes, we do. Just come in and bring your clean wig and we will work with you on what you are trying to achieve. Thank you for watching!
Great video. Thanks for vhf the styling tips. Where do you get the Helen of Troy (Hot Tools) brush. Is there a modell #. I can't find one and have looked for a long time.
Deborah Cook you used to be able to get them at Sally’s and I have been searching as well. Trying to find a resource without success. We carry them and we do mail. You can call the store and we will get one out for you. 972-380-5306. Thank you for watching!
I keep looking for something that looks like this front looks after the bangs and face framing sides are cut. I would like the back length shortened to barely shoulder length and curved under.
Would the Conair Supreme hot curl brush work on my short wigs? It has 10 settings and I think the bristles are synthetic. Thanks for some great videos. I've been a wig wearer for 14 yrs.
The bristles aren't the problem with the hot curling brush, it is the material that the barrel is made of. Also, it sounds like yours is just a curl brush and what we recommend is a hot air brush that blows air like a hair dryer. To our knowledge Hot Tools is the only company that makes an ALL PLASTIC hot air brush therefore it is the only one we endorse. Any metal, ceramic, titanium, etc. barrels will always result in too high of a temp even on the low settings risking burning or melting the synthetic fiber.
Love you guys!!! Love to see how you would soften and direct the Noriko Taylor to keep from from falling in your face! I've tried steam, rollers, hot brush.....getting better......does it just take multiple tries? I cut bangs in her and blend my own in..never know if I should add face framing or not, afraid to lose the long sides, but is is framing better than a drop ?
If Jackson came with a lace front and mono side part, or top, it would be the perfect wig for me. I've spent more than a year searching for the equivalent of Jackson with these necessary features, but haven't fount her yet. I enjoyed watc hing the customization. What kind of scissors did you use to cut the bangs and face-framing layers?
Sally Smack thank you for watching! Misty just used regular hair cutting shears. The synthetic fiber dulls them pretty quickly so there is really no need to spend a fortune on them. You might like “Julia” from Jon Renau as it’s about the same cut as Jackson. 😊
I’m relatively new to wigs too but I also thought most synthetic wigs weren’t safe to use ANY HEAT ON unless they were specifically “HEAT-TOLERANT FIBERS” -type synthetic wigs. So, I have 3 questions for you: 1)Are you saying that this Hot Tools Plastic Air Tool is a type of heat that CAN be used on ANY type of synthetic wig- EVEN NON-HEAT TOLERANT OR HEAT-RESISTANT wigs? 2) If that Hot Tools curling brush has different heat settings, what is the highest temp that you recommend for a good curl and highest temp to make sure NOT TO EXCEED?(or does it not matter since it’s plastic and therefore maybe it cannot burn the hair at all no matter what??) 3) Have u ever tried a different size barrel than the 1” and how’d that work for you? (Or do they not make them in diff sizes?) THANK YOU Julie Holland
Hi Julie, great questions! The Hot Tools plastic hot air brush CAN be used on non-heat defiant wigs. It is the only heat styling tool that we will ever deem as safe. It has two settings, low and high and generally we always use the high. We use the 1" and the 1.5" depending on the hair length and how tight of a curl is needed.
I don’t understand what it is I’m missing about the greatness of the Wig Grip but, every time I wear one, it doesn’t do THAT MUCH for securing mine. (And yes, I put the tag on the left front side of my head). But, it eventually ends up moving backwards on my head and I CERTAINLY could NEVER go out in ANY type of sporty or windy situation in it. I’ve had to resort to that sticky glue around your head to secure everything. It works but can get messy. WHAT do you think is it that I’m doing wrong?? Im placing it same place your are.🤨
Great job! Nice change. Wish you were closer to me. I am in south Florida. If you know of any good wig stores like yours please share. I know you guys have a good wig network for referrals. I am in a Palm Beach county but would travel a bit farther if you know someone good that customizes wigs. Can you use the hot tools brush on non heat friendly wigs? Thanks guys.
Judy Dubinsky we will keep our eyes open for something in your area. As for the Hot Tools blow brush, we can’t stress enough, that if you get the PLASTIC one then you can use it on all wig fibers. In fact the Jackson isn’t a heat friendly wig at all. 😊
