It's strange how recording an old scholarly-type carrying a thick tome talk about stuff in a room full of books with a deep voice can make anything seem legitimate. I'm surprised they put the effort to actually do this (I mean, Sega's marketing is usually pretty weak) but this one was pretty good. Kudos.
It's fascinating because it's completely unusual for a Japanese game’s marketing campaign. Live action footage (with only western actors!), slick CGI visual aids, the film set and props... And it’s written and structured to look like a part of a regular in-universe series. It looks like something the Total War or Company of Heroes devs would produce. I’ve never seen anything like this come out for such a relatively non-mainstream Japanese title. It’s pretty cool. Very curious to know which marketing agency put it together and the production process for it.
I found that people's favour of something is related. Your avatar is from steins gate and u r commenting one of my favourite game, while I failed to recommend them to others too much time.
Plus the Russian Army was huge, and led by many spectacular commanders. Plus they had righteous anger on their side, Germany was slaughtering their people, so they were driven to defeat this horrifyingly inhuman army.
@@silvertemplar8061 Even fictional invasion of Russia portrayed them as un-invadable by conventional means you know. Remember Red Alert 1 and 2? The only reason you can hit Moscow without the infamous "General Winter" and "Colonel Mudland" blowing your invasion force to kingdom come was because Einstein's Chronosphere teleported your army and supply lines straight from Britain/America to Moscow, bypassing everything in-between. Oh, well, the un-invadable part is actually not true: Mongols are the exception.
@@silvertemplar8061 Well, in Red Alert 1 and 2 Allied campaign, the final mission is you leading the Allied force to attack Moscow to defeat Stalin / Romanov for good of Democracy! You did it by using Chronosphere, which is a fancy name of Teleporter, to teleport your armies from Britain and America assembly point straight to the Moscow, bypassing every defensive lines and Russian Winter. On top of having uninterruptible supply line coming by said teleporter, making it possible to beat Soviet in that game.
Autocratic government like the Russian Empire but with Prussian style militarism. Also, a little bit of fascism, because of prejudice against Darcsens.
@@mrkvn223 It actually fits very neatly with VC's larger worldbuilding. In the VC setting, it was the northern lands, not the Mediterranean, that formed the ancient seat of civilisation, the ancient Valkyria being warlords that travelled south, carving out fiefdoms from the lands of the native Darcsen. It's not *exactly* that North America was colonised by vikings, it's more that when people in the VC universe want to give something a grand-sounding name, they tend to use Norse naming conventions where we might use Latinate ones.
I have watched a lot of videos about history but this one isn’t really that appealing. But that’s just mean. Seems that people like it so good work I guess.
Mildly Amusing Channel I mean I’m just some guy on the internet. If I matter that much that you would leave a comment then surely you’d understand that the video matters enough for me to leave a comment as well.

considering how the 1st game is a darling in the west, and how vocal they have been for more, maybe they wanted to take a chance

@@NickHa Did you ever heard about Ace Combat Zero?
Wow. This is actually amazing.
Great job
That's exactly how I imagine world's history.
OMG this totally gave me goosebumps
How the heck did I miss this trailer? lol it's amazing =D
This needs more views. I love it.
Yes I remember my Grandpa in the trenches fought alongside magical witch women
I’m about to play the 4th for free on xbone without ever touching the series. This video helps to get caught up 👍
looking at the map of eruopa shows how northern cross doomed to fail the empire is simply too big to invade
and that's why Germany failed in it's invasion of the USSR

Never played Red Alert, but it’s the game with the hyper advanced democratic federation and Soviet Union in the biggest Cold War ever correct

Nice... As if it truly happened in the past... Well done Sega....
The Naggiar Plains were actually a main battleground for Gallia in EW1.
This is the coolest thing ever!
They used T-34 models for that map at 1:50
The Empire is definitely Soviet Union (with a mix of Germany and Austria)
Their society is feudal though so it's part Prussia/Tsarist Russia too

Just Eastern Europe isn’t it?
I almost thought the dude on the thumbnail was Nolan North.
Lol...... I was thinking Steve Coogan 😂
I was not expecting this. Its like watching the history channel.
Loving it .
The actor is really good.
Great trailer. I wonder why I never saw it anywhere before
'United Kingdom of Edinburgh'?!?
Maybe the Scots control the whole islands.

There's also the United States of Vinland. North America colonized by Vikings.

I... LOVE THIS
This sound so realistic and convincing if some newbies see this they would have thought it a real thing. LOL
Not even a footnote about the 6 million darcsens?!
😂
Adds a bit of realism into it don't you think?
This is how Europe looks like if Japan dominate the World.
This is what happens if someone flies back through time only to shake hands with Albert Einstein.

Jaja xD
