    It's amazing to think that in many developing countries we still burn organic waste. Food, paper and other waste products from cities that are usually thrown into landfills to burn away can instead be composted down like this to revitalise the soil in farming communities, cut down on pesticides, and even conduct greening initiatives within the cities.

    • @MyFamilyGarden
      @MyFamilyGarden  4 роки тому +1

      A lot of those in big cities just waste so much that they could put to good use all over the world

    I was growing vegetable garden here in Syria and it very difficult. Last year government soldiers come and steal all our tomatoes, cucumbers, melons and corn. My neighbour he lose his crops as well and soldier stick AK47 gun in his face for trying to stop them taking our crops. They take all crop to feed soldiers and arrest neighbour and take him away too. I still never see that neighbour again 12 month later. But I still grow vegetable again this year to feed my family. Unfortunately al-sham terrorist group come to my village in May, 50 fighters, and shoots many people including some child's. Again they steal our crops but I still have hidden tomato and cucumber plants on roof. 😊

    I like how down to earth you are bruv, straight to the point and I can tell you know your stuff and have experience. The only thing I want to point out is that I've noticed you sometimes use cardboard that looks like it has been printed/has that shinny printer ink on it... Is that something that might possibly be adding plastic to the compost? Just a thought, what do you think? Thank you for posting this informative vedio.

    • @MyFamilyGarden
      @MyFamilyGarden  3 роки тому

      Thanks for your kind words.
      From the information I can find coloured boxes don't contain the heavy metals anymore like the old inks used to, a lot of the colour comes from veg based ink and clay to give it the shine. I don't use the plastic coated cardboard, unless I can remove the plastic first.

The first pile is just the colection bin. the 2nd two would be the propper composting bins. So it's not 1meter by one meter, 120cm by 80cm (i didnt have more space) i hope it works......
