Tai's a strategic guy. He's also used to A: speaking to a camera where all feedback is filtered through him reading it out and B: dominating one to one interviews due to his level of knowledge on personalities and psychology. Lewis did an excellent job of asserting himself and putting pressure where he found resistance. I get how people could see Tai as ingenuine but I think he's just got an approach to life that people aren't at all used to seeing.
honestly, I didn't know Tai, thought he was a cocky, self centered man. This was one of the most inspiring, thought provoking interviews I've watched, and I've watched many of the best.
Lewis - "So Tai where did you grow up?" Tai "well that's funny because, in theoretical physics, the great leonard susskind says when everyones an expert, noones an expert. Back when I was in the projects, I followed mentors throughout the city and read their books for knowledge." Lewis - "Yea that's great but uh where did you grow up, where are you from?" Tai "You know there's a theory in psychology deemed Clustering Illusion and basically, it explains how we as humans tend to create fallacious patterns in the stuff we see or hear. So for example, If I told you I was raised in the projects, in North Carolina, people would presume that I grew up as a Carolina Panther fan. This is why I don't articulate these types of things because it becomes more personal than it should be"
It's not that I dislike Tai, have no reason to, but I definitely don't connect or resonate with him like I do Lewis. I think the difference is that Tai displays all his material possessions, houses, cars etc. but shows nothing about his deeper self. Whereas Lewis shows all his deeper self to us but displays nothing around his material possessions. I think this shows the difference of why I resonate so much more with Lewis and not at all with Tai, does anyone else see it that way?
I under stand where your coming from but if you look at it from a practical marketing point of view, Tai is smarter in that he used his way of "showing off" as the hook. It got people watching his stuff. In marketing you always sell to the superficial part of the brain to get someone's attention. Tai has built an audience 5 times the size of Lewis and he built it in half the time. I agree he is not as authentic but his style of marketing sure has worked to get people motivated and hungry for success. Tai got me started with the whole idea of being an entrepreneur. And later I discovered Lewis and I love his stuff but Tai still resinates with me much more than Lewis.
Everybody serves a purpose. God didn't create just 1 kind of fruit (or anything for that matter)- apples make good pies, oranges, good juice. Both serve a great purpose.
Tai has great points and watching his videos got me to start reading more books. But the way he talks instinctively put me on the defensive. Whereas people like Lewis (or Brian Johnson) are easier to listen to for me.
It might not be that Tai himself cares about age, but he knows how much society in general is hung up about age. I am more or less about Tai's age and people like Tai and me could be thought of as being in our 30s, but other people may think we are in our 40s. UA-cam viewers in their 20s and younger might be turned off if they found out Tai was in his 40s because they might find him "old" and unrelatable. Tai has the potential to lose followers if people find him "unrelatable" due to their conceptions about certain age groups. By Tai remaining "ageless" and not revealing his age number, he can help to keep himself relatable to a larger number of viewers.
I am glad that I watched the whole video and didn't turn it off based on my first impressions. Tai surprised me by revealing he has inspired unlikely people to achieve what they want through reading books. Thank you Lewis for conducting the interview they way you did. Thank you Tai for inspiring people to read that was the "gold nugget" for me from this one.
5:20 "I want to see clearly" has exactly been my goal in my life as well which is why I think I understand where Tai's coming from on a lot of things, though we have a different personality and market. That is why I have bought several of his programs and am completing them right now. Highly recommend!
+King Genova Yea and " I don't show lamborghinis because I want to attract people it was there even before I posted a video on youtube....". While he is paying models to come to his mansions and appear in his videos
You mean like when Cadillac pays a model $5,000 a day to sit in a car for a commercial? To sell their product to their target audience... like that? He didn't deny showing the cars to attract audience, he denied showing possessions to brag and show off. There is a difference. BTW, it kinda worked massively.
This is why I don't articulate these types of things because it becomes more personal than it should be"
I was not a Tai Lopez fan an hour ago. Admittedly, I judged him on his UA-cam ads, which is not fair. I have a much different view of him after watching this interview. A new found respect for him. And well done, Lewis! You asked the questions, and kept asking until he answered them. You didn't give up, and just a FANTASTIC interview!
LEWIS YOU CRUSHED THIS INTERVIEW! HOLY! Great work. He even admitted it. Im a big fan of Tai and I'm a big supporter of you. This shit was DOPE! I Had noooo clue how this was going to go down. wow
This is the ONLY School of Greatness interview that I have found uninspiring. It's actually uncomfortable to watch. But I DO appreciate your tenacity in your line of questions, Lewis. I love how you don't just let Tai hide behind BS but you go hard after an honest answer. Brilliant!! Thanks for your videos!
Lewis, gotta say this is one of the best interviews I've tuned in on. I'm a podcast junkie myself and co-host my own podcast show for entrepreneurs, and I listen to others, a lot. But one thing is that I've never set aside a full hour not just to simply listen to a podcast, but actually feel the need to switch over to youtube to WATCH the interview because I found it some enticing. Instead of using my hour on the commute home to do work, I watched the entire interview and listened to every single word. You had my undivided attention! Was great to get to know more about Tai and seeing him be on the interviewee end of things. He seemed relaxed throughout & you interviewed great man! Props to you for this & thanks for sharing it with us! - B
This is the first time I listen to an interview with Tai, and truth be told my gut tells me that something's off about him. I don't know what it is exactly, but "c'est un peu louche"! Aside from that, I love your style of interviewing, so hats off to you! Cheers! :-D
This is why I don't articulate these types of things because it becomes more personal than it should be"
LegendofVII If you get to know him better by watching his videos and studying his knowledge, he tells all of these things. He just said he lived in a mobile home in North Carolina in his teens. He might have lived there earlier. He also says earlier in the video about living in Long Beach, near the projects. I think he lived there as a child because I happen to know that his father was in prison when he was a kid. So he was raised in the projects in Long Beach. His mom got married again and he moved to North Carolina as a teen & lived on a couch. Then he tells everything after that from when he was 19. So he tells everything after that in this video. But he’s still private and if he’s “off”, it’s probably because he doesn’t know that he wants to tell too much of certain things and he gets uncomfortable when he talks about certain topics. That’s just his personality.
I've been subscribed to you for several months and love your interviews. You did such a good job with this one in particular. Tai is a tough person to interview and you, handled this like a pro and called him out on his B.S. in a diplomatic way. Great job!
It's fascinating to compare the Tai Lopez interview to the one Lewis did with Tony Robbins. Both men were interviewed in spaces that reflected their immense wealth. And yet Tai made me both nervous and distrustful of his every word. There was little substantive thought other than vague allusions/references (that's not being deep, by the way, that's just being cagey), and moreover, I felt like this wasn't an authentic man who had delved into the depths of either himself OR the human condition. Tony answered in a straightforward manner, was clear about who he is, as well as his guiding principles, and exuded an air of calm confidence. Both men clearly had egos, but one tempered that with service to others coupled with deep love of family. Such a difference from two individuals who engage in relatively similar work. I also found it fascinating to watch Lewis' body language - every indicator told me that he had little trust in Tai, was frustrated by his lack of clarity and answers, and lost respect for the man as the interview went on. Normally, Lewis is engaged, leaning forward, and happy within the confines of the conversation - for him, it's the art of the interview. Not this time. Thank you, though, for interviewing Tai Lopez. It was a fascinating window into the head space of a man deeply involved with himself. You did a great job, Lewis.
Lewis you're the Male Oprah Winfrey of the 21st Century. You're an inspiration, and the content you release allows me to create the roadmap I need to become successful in the world by listening to your interviews with today's success stories and emulate the habits, and methods I pick up simply my listening....thanks for your service....P.S I'm also dyslexic ;-)
I don't care what Lewis says, he did not enjoy this interview. How could you when someone can't give a simple answer for a simple question. Thumbs down to this interview, not because of you my brotha, but because this dude Tai.
My mentor told me to listen to Tai's 67 Steps. It changed my way of reading because I use to hate reading. Now I force myself to read because I now understand that knowledge is power. I read all the time and at least a book a week. Don't knock what he is doing until you actually try it.
I literally could not finish this interview. Halfway through, just opted to hear someone else. Not even sure why he agreed to do this if he is so afraid of sharing his story? Kudos to Lewis for hanging in there.
I really like how Lewis interviews Tai. Both guys are my favorite and I've learned a lot from the two of them. Toe down to earth guys just talking. Good job.
Gotta give Lewis Howes respect for saying what people really think (that Tai isn't genuine) and for constantly calling him out for avoiding questions. Most interviewers give Tai complete control of the interview, so Tai can go on tangents and essentially answer nothing. Lewis didn't allow any of that. Respect.
In the end I gave this video a thumbs up. Lewis did an amazing job of getting Tai to open up as the interview progressed. I learned a great deal about both men by the time it was over. I am glad I stuck with it and listened to the entire video as it will certainly prove as valuable to me in life as it was memorable. Thank you Lewis and Tai. All the best to you both.
Wow. REALLY enjoyed this interview. I have watched allot of interviews with Tai and feel he tends to dominate them and repeat similar stories and avoid questions. Whilst the stories he tells are incredibly useful, it was interesting to hear his perspective on new topics :)
Overall, that he appears more personable than usual. Also I liked his take on love and his way of attracting individuals to read different books (individuals that wouldn’t ordinarily take an interest). What about you?
very interesting interview . . I've been following Tai since late April of 2015 and yourself. I appreciate the explanation of "why" and Tai explained his "why" aka reasoning and that's very valuable to me . . please keep up the good works to each of you!
Wow, this was the best interview that ive seen in a while! Thank you so much, that you are doing this kind of stuff ;) you give me the chance to soak up the mindsetts from those peoples. I am from Germany and one of my dreams is to life in usa, california. 4 years ago, i went there for 3 weeks and i was super impressed of the "american way". I am really in love with the idea of a free and greatful life and want to make a change in heads of my own age people. Most of them are just for looking for new shoes or some new stuff, but don't live their own way of life you know? It would be super exciting, if I could get in contact with you Thank you ;)
You can tell most people didn't watch the whole interview, these comments are closed minded, negative and don't reflect the content in the video This was a great interview of someone who is closed for his own personal reasons but still has a ton of value to provide. He doesn't have to tell us broke people shit! Be appreciative of whats in front of you and use it instead of asking for more all the damn time Great video Lewis!
Man it's painful to hear him. So much ego and contradiction. I'm not sure this made him look much better than his standard perception in people's minds. Thanks Lewis, your authenticity is crystal clear in every video.
Brad Evand dude. Don't be shitty to others. Contribute something interesting, thoughtful, insightful, or important. You have it in you. Spewing crap just makes you look small. There is room for others' opinions and ideas as long as we are respectful to each other. Peace.
Crazy thing is tai Lopez got me into reading but there is a lot of sketchy history behind him he can never give a straight answer for any question it's very strange.
I've followed Tai Lopez for 2 years and never heard him disclose some of what you brought out of him. Excellent interview. Thank you both for openly sharing the "how to..."
+Raymond Duke My comment has nothing to do with what I took away from the video, as I took away many helpful things. Step off your self-righteous pedestal, "Duke"
I COMPLETELY agree with Tai that he doesn’t have any reason to tell his age. If you think about it, no matter what, Tai is extremely wise!! He has decided not to tell his age because if he tells, he will not be able to have an influence on certain people. If he is “too old” in their eyes, they will not listen to his ideas or wisdom because they think he is just an old guy and he doesn’t know anything about “this subject”. If Tai tells his age and he is younger than they expect, they will not listen to him because he is “just a kid, so he couldn’t know about this subject or that subject”. So it make complete sense as to why he doesn’t tell his age!! So get off his ass!! That’s my opinion!!
I have followed Tai on occasion but this interview showed me a side of him that blew me away. I'm truly inspired by his motivations such as influencing young people to read, and so on. His perspectives and ability to learn from other are astounding. Another great interview, Lewis, loved it!
Great interview, I've followed Lewis for a long time as I have Tai. I believe that Lewis overlooked the huge value in some of Tai's responses and focused to much on direct answers which ultimately would have provided far less value. Great stuff none the less and I appreciate this being put out.
I enjoyed the interview, Tai talks a lot and i went in objective and tried to digest every thing he said and did as open minded as possible but it seems like many people share the same feeling i get when i hear him speak. He can talk and talk and talk but theres this gut feeling you get about him. somethings missing. theres a lack of human connection, its like you are speaking to a random quote generator instead of a person. He didnt do or say anything overtly that makes you feel inherently put off, humans are innately social creatures. theres something lacking about him that we pick up on subconsciously. thats what led me to go as far as looking up this video to see his body language. maybe hes just guarded , who knows, but definitely weird. I would definitely have my guard up around an individual like him, seems like the type to disarm you with charm and silver tongued answers when you ask him a tough question. An attack of kindness to put you in a docile state of mind , so he has no one to challenge him and how he sells snake oil. no confrontation because he is the nice guy. i get a similar vibe from Kevin Gates the rapper. google his interviews if youre interested in another prime example. he is seemingly nice and respectful but no one challenges his warped views when they come up because he disarms them with 'kindness". maybe im overthinking , but its defininetly interesting lmao food 4 thought for sure
He is a leader of the social networking field and he's being paid to probably experiment with people, keep a balance in some kinda agenda from elitists, billionaires who've mentored him, that's my guess. Being the fact that he doesn't share an occupation I think the internet is his real job. I get his connection, it's really simple to understand him. He's smart and creative, has a constancy with everything in different realms of life because of what he's doing. He's helping the higher class and the lower class and sitting comfortably on stacks. I respect him. Epic story of turning his life around and I don't think he's guarded he's just capable of making you think that. He becomes stronger as he talks and you can let it absorb or dismiss the facts
I think he shows the classical signs of a psychopath/sociopath, superficial charme, manipulative, complete lack of empathy, hence normal peoples feeling about sth being "off" about him
Lewis i don't understand why you are apologizing to everyone below. Was still a great interview mate. Sure Tai didn't open up as much as you had hoped, but from what i've heard from Tai, that is the most personal i have seen him be. You could probably write a whole book about the masks he wears. I appreciate the knowledge Tai shares and that is why i follow his content. I find a lot of his live streams and snaps with girls super cheesy, but if that works for him & fits within his values, then good on him - but i wont be liking those posts. Keep up the awesome work Lewis. Long time listener, first time commentator.
In all honesty if we read between the lines, I think deep down what Tai truly desires is the approval/praise from a father or father figure to tell him they're proud. So far it seems he's not all that satisfied with his success or past successes.
I like to study Tai Lopez because this is they kind of guy that can making millions selling MLM products. He doesn't share his age because it will allow you to pick at his lies. The man says he lived with the Amish when he was 22 or 23, but doesn't give you a date of when of that was. Brilliant shit lol. He will making his millions selling a lifestyle. The proof that he rents his Hollywood hills home has been fact checked lol. Even with all I said, I will admit that he does speak well and tell great stories. He also shares decent content once you trim the fluff.
i love that about the thief - how do you keep your heart open when you know people do bad things all the time...loved this thanks guys there is a difference in felt sense intuitive gut knowing and paranoia
Great interview Lewis! I've been following Tai for about a year or so and I think his great! The guy wants to remain private in some areas of his life, and that's cool. People will judge anyway, I really love what his doing in the world and making reading not just for nerds lol 😊
FINALLY....after about the 45 minute mark, Tai seemed to relax and open up. I think this more transparent side of Tai would attract an even BIGGER audience. Well done Lewis !
Not gonna lie, pretty epic interview. I would've been a bit wary of Tai but Lewis has done something amazing here. Even with the long drawn answers you do actually get to see a more sincere side of Tai. He really is a mad scientist in his own head and in many ways he really does look at everything in a scientific way. He doesn't want anything in particular but looks at what is logical and possible, nearly objective enough to not see himself. Very, very interesting interview. Even to watch Lewis go through so many stages, his patience was tried, he really held no barriers but made it the whole way through and dealt perfectly with the person in front of him which is really a testament to how good he is at what he does.
This guy is a MASTER of talking in circles about nothing at all and I love how Lewis is too fucking smart to fall for his shit and calls his ass out. This guy goes against basically everything tony robbins teaches. Hes a "state" destroyer.
Great stuff Lewis. I have seen Tai's ads but only for some seconds because they don't appeal to me. But listening to this gave me a much better impression of him:-)
This guy never tells his full story of how he got rich, and what he got rich in yet goes on about making money etc. Something doesn't add up. Gary Vaynerchuck on the other hand, he's real.
His bullshit programs are the way he makes money lol people literally take advice from a guy who hasn't had any million dollar businesses of his own but "coaches" people.
Most people who do what Tai does, will tell their full story of their life and not hide a thing. Maybe he is the real deal, who knows. Just way too cagey to not be questioned.
Sam Roberts There's a channel on UA-cam, the Michael Mc.. where he uploads videos on how famous people got famous. His Tai video he said even though I knew this, that he worked at GE Financial as a Financial Planner and then he made LLG his other company. Then he got his night club business in LA going and created a consulting business and other companies. That's how Tai became the entrepreneur that he became to be. Although he usually talks about topics with social media and other things, he never said how he was making his money except from the businesses that he has. He made money in many ways. So he just mentions how to make money from the 67 steps from what his mentors told him.
+Evan Green. The whole I read a book a day is all BS. I had an English class where I had to read 4 books during the semester. Nobody reads a book a day unless its a Children's book. The only books I had that he read were 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey and one of Tony Robbins books. I like books and I read manga and comics but nobody would finish a book in a day unless its a baby book or some other shit.
Wow Lewis! was listening to this at my overnight job and felt like standing up by myself and giving you a standing ovation! Lots of what he was saying was exactly what I was thinking. Every time one of his commercials comes on I instantly skip it because he comes across as arrogant, cocky and flashy. Seems like he just cares about cars and girls. As I listened to the interview and you got him to open up, I gained a lot of respect for him. Actually kind of like his view of doing things and not caring what other people think. He's right. You are a great interviewer! Thank you for opening my mind. once I start gaining momentum with my dreams I'll gladly purchase some of your products because you've given the world some great content with this interviews for free. Be well Lewis 😉
Way ahead of you! My top 3 listened to channels are you, Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu and Evan Carmichael. You're leaving quite an impact on the world. Thanks again Lewis. Hope to meet you in person one day. Be well ;-)
When you are giving advice to people every single day, you are program not to give a direct answer. That's why I think it's hard for Tai to be authentic. Lewis Howes however, is a good interviewer. He manages to get Tai answer out. I follow both of them and both are a great guy.
Respect. Lewis Howes is a great interviewer, and Tai Lopez has more than a couple pearls of wisdom to share with the world. I particularly liked his 1st truth that he said at the end of the interview.
@ 10:30 Tai doesn't want to give his age to prevent bad feelings of relating age and income, yet he had no issues posting a vid stating a 19 year old made his first $million. Anyhow, I'm subbed. I like interviewer's interrogation style.
I like how Lewis called Tai out on avoiding certain answers and being "non-authentic". I do enjoy Tai's Reading Lsit and some of his videos, but definitely felt like he was dancing around alot of answers.
Lewis, you did an incredible job. Looked like a very challenging interview. I'm glad you kept probing and asking tough questions. It's interesting the responses you got. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and drive with the world. It's been inspiring to follow you over the past few years. Cheers man.
The first interview I really don't like. Not because of Lewis but this Tai guy isn't authentic. He never really answers a question and just comes up with stories that are not really relevant. Makes me think he has something to hide, so no bueno! I could be wrong, but it's pretty obvious something isn't right or in the clear.
I'm not judging him on his personality, I'm just reacting to his behavior and the way he doesn't answer the questions. He doesn't give straight answers and dodges simple questions. That is what comes across as shady. He might not be shady at all, but if so many people see the same thing, he might want to look into it. We all have something to learn.
I watched the whole thing and it was very inspirational and I definitely learned a lot. Great interview questions and a great person was interviewed also. Many thanks to everyone who made this happen.
Without knowing his age it's significantly harder to timeline his claims of the things he says he's done. Therefore by remaining a mystery reduces his chances of being exposed for who he really is. He'll be the next Lou Pearlman. Lol.
I believe he’s in his 40s. But it doesn’t matter to me. I have studied him very extensively... so I think this about him, to the people who are negative about him... I COMPLETELY agree with Tai that he doesn’t have any reason to tell his age. If you think about it, no matter what, Tai is extremely wise!! He has decided not to tell his age because if he tells, he will not be able to have an influence on certain people. If he is “too old” in their eyes, they will not listen to his ideas or wisdom because they think he is just an “old guy” and he doesn’t know anything about “this subject”. If Tai tells his age and he is younger than they expect, they will not listen to him because he is “just a kid, so he couldn’t know about this subject or that subject”. So it makes complete sense as to why he doesn’t tell his age!! So get off his ass!! That’s my opinion!!
Why does it matter how old he is? Why are people such nosy pricks these days? Do famous people not have a right to privacy? All you judgemental twats suck.
Seriously Lewis, best interview yet! This interview shows just how awesome you've gotten at asking questions... even when people are trying to avoid them!
*UPDATE: Tai IS 40 YEARS OLD !! We found-out his age by doing the math of an interview his mentor Joel Salatin conducted with London Real. 22 years ago, Tai was 18 when he went to work with JOEL Salatin !!!
Taino Adrian Lopez birthdate: April 11, 1976 mother: Andrea Franziska Avanzato Burkenroad www.californiabirthindex.org/birth/taino_a_lopez_born_1976_12978715
I already commented on this video once but I do wanna say for those people that aren't particularly fond of Lopez this interview is worth watching just to see Lewis' interview skills. He kills it.
It's called body language, Tai is a liar sometimes, that's why I think he stutters and chokes up a lot because he has something to hide. Because when your that sucessful in self motivation, what are you nervous about. Lewis tries to give off a real masculine (kind of competitive) vibe where he overly holds eye contact and keeps a smiling face like a mannequin. I don't like pointing out things of other people because nobody's perfect but something they can work on. Judge not, not be judged.
Loved the interview. Looking to more greatness in the lives of people. People are like books, they are wise, loving, caring, comforting, and all the above. Thank you.
"Hate says more about you than it does about me." After I heard this from grant cardone it made think about why so many dislike tai Lopez. In truth it didn't make sense for me to dislike tai, I don't personally know him. So what's wrong with me? That's the first reason why I watched this. The second reason.. Well it's Lewis Howes.... Excellent interview Lewis. It amazes me how good you are with asking questions... I'm also amazed of your love of people. I hope to be able to express that like you do Lewis.
Tai Lopez is the real-life Jay Gatsby. He has a giant mansion with a pool, he has fancy cars, he hides his upbringing, he doesn't answer questions directly, no one REALLY knows how he makes money... I like Tai Lopez, but his lack of transparency gives the impression that he's a bit shady.
This dude is so sketchy. He never discloses simple things like his age or how he got rich. He makes up these BS 67 steps programs but where's his track record as a successful businessman? He NEVER says how he got money before his "coaching" services. It's just sketchy.
Lewis Howes you have definitely done the best you could! Was such a difficult interview. You are brilliant and full of true personality and soul, as always. Well done Lewis.
yes I love this interview. ..I perceived that everybody should be the same person with wealth. ..or without it...money only enhance who we truly are...that's why we need to show to ourselves the best version of us, so @ the end we know we fulfill the purpose we born to be. Have great day Lewis...you r showing a great way to make a difference in this world...I'm inspired!
So much respect for Lewis holding this guy's feet to the fire. I almost didn't click on this one but glad I did. Nice job, Lewis.
Evan Yates me too. Almost didn't watch but glad I did!
Lol
Tai is brilliant. I can relate to his elusiveness. No one has the right to tap into your soul and know everything about you.
I get how people could see Tai as ingenuine but I think he's just got an approach to life that people aren't at all used to seeing.
yes, I agree.
Tai is a delusional narcissistic sociopath who thinks he is some sort of mind reading dude obsessing about Myers Briggs tests. Really strange tbh
Exactly
2jzandy s LMFAO 😂
Agree!
honestly, I didn't know Tai, thought he was a cocky, self centered man. This was one of the most inspiring, thought provoking interviews I've watched, and I've watched many of the best.
Lewis - "So Tai where did you grow up?"
Tai "well that's funny because, in theoretical physics, the great leonard susskind says when everyones an expert, noones an expert. Back when I was in the projects, I followed mentors throughout the city and read their books for knowledge."
Lewis - "Yea that's great but uh where did you grow up, where are you from?"
Tai "You know there's a theory in psychology deemed Clustering Illusion and basically, it explains how we as humans tend to create fallacious patterns in the stuff we see or hear. So for example, If I told you I was raised in the projects, in North Carolina, people would presume that I grew up as a Carolina Panther fan. This is why I don't articulate these types of things because it becomes more personal than it should be"
😂😂😂😂😂😂.. You Made my day.😂😂
omg i'm dying LOL
NAILED IT.
😂🥂
Lewis is great but Tai made me so aggravated with this interview, but then I read this comment and it made it all worth it!
I feel like Lewis is playing the game for the long term. People will see the value.
Everybody serves a purpose. God didn't create just 1 kind of fruit (or anything for that matter)- apples make good pies, oranges, good juice. Both serve a great purpose.
Very interesting! You have some great points!
Precisely.
Tai was 31 when he was on Millionaire Match Maker back in 2008 (which was filmed in 2007) so in 2017 he'd be 40 or 41.
5:20 "I want to see clearly" has exactly been my goal in my life as well which is why I think I understand where Tai's coming from on a lot of things, though we have a different personality and market. That is why I have bought several of his programs and am completing them right now. Highly recommend!
Lewis is a smart interviewer and really put Tai on the spot. Great questions!
I love this, excellent !!1
Really!? I think he’s kinda poor 😂 could continue with better follow up questions but switches to pre planned ones instead haha
Wow 🎉 why did I miss this interview??! Love it. ❤
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to check out the interview! So glad you enjoyed it.
I'm getting a strong feeling this guy's exactly what he's saying he's not.
Well said.
O T Idiots jump to conclusions without researching the truth based on their 'feelings'.
stick to 9 to 5.
This is why I don't articulate these types of things because it becomes more personal than it should be"
I was not a Tai Lopez fan an hour ago.
I Had noooo clue how this was going to go down. wow
+Lewis Howes Out the park, nailed it...
those chairs are awesome…. looks so comfortable
They are!
Cheers! :-D
Kitschcakes Kitschcakes? Is that an actual business? Funny name
This is why I don't articulate these types of things because it becomes more personal than it should be"
LegendofVII If you get to know him better by watching his videos and studying his knowledge, he tells all of these things.
I can’t recommend enough Tai Lopez’s courses. He changed my family life.
Right 😂😂
I've been subscribed to you for several months and love your interviews. You did such a good job with this one in particular. Tai is a tough person to interview and you, handled this like a pro and called him out on his B.S. in a diplomatic way. Great job!
5 years ago? how on earth did I miss that?
Lewis clearly enjoyed this interview he was taking figs on Tai. Low-key shots throughout the interview haha
Good job.
I can't wait to soak up all the KNAWLEDGE
I love this! I have been waiting for someone to get under Tai, to see who he REALLY is, under everything he puts out. LEWIS YOU ARE BRILLIANT.
Respect.
@Jerome S very well said.
I get that to alot of Tai stories are repeated from his talks but it's good that he sticks to the same stories and doesn't make up stuff.
Siel8387 Yeah I agree. It just gets a little repetitive once you've watched a few ha.
+Adriana but overall interview was good what did you like about it?
Overall, that he appears more personable than usual. Also I liked his take on love and his way of attracting individuals to read different books (individuals that wouldn’t ordinarily take an interest). What about you?
+Adriana yes, he did but tended to answering questions directly but it's Tai, I like his influence of knowledge and a better life.
very interesting interview . . I've been following Tai since late April of 2015 and yourself. I appreciate the explanation of "why" and Tai explained his "why" aka reasoning and that's very valuable to me . . please keep up the good works to each of you!
Impressive interview. Really feel I got a genuine perspective on what makes Tai tick. Great questions. Thank you.
It would be super exciting, if I could get in contact with you
Thank you ;)
der Querdenker Viel Erfolg
Thank god for you being here Lewis! You have changed my life.
Very good interview! Skillfully handled--and it wasn't easy!
I totally agree. He did a great job
#SixtyMealsADay
You can tell most people didn't watch the whole interview, these comments are closed minded, negative and don't reflect the content in the video
This was a great interview of someone who is closed for his own personal reasons but still has a ton of value to provide.
He doesn't have to tell us broke people shit! Be appreciative of whats in front of you and use it instead of asking for more all the damn time
Great video Lewis!
Man it's painful to hear him. So much ego and contradiction. I'm not sure this made him look much better than his standard perception in people's minds. Thanks Lewis, your authenticity is crystal clear in every video.
We all have ego and contradiction within ourselves, wouldn't you agree?
Shut the fuck up, India. Stop backing up a fucking hack.
Brad Evand dude. Don't be shitty to others. Contribute something interesting, thoughtful, insightful, or important. You have it in you. Spewing crap just makes you look small. There is room for others' opinions and ideas as long as we are respectful to each other. Peace.
I love this guy haha, he keeps pushing until he gets the answer out. Won't let Tai dodge the question. Great Interviewer
Crazy thing is tai Lopez got me into reading but there is a lot of sketchy history behind him he can never give a straight answer for any question it's very strange.
He's never clearly documented how he made his money.
Highly strange for a self proclaimed self help guru.
+Sam Roberts he worked for rich people he calls mentor who advised him to invest in certain businesses.
controversy is one of the best strategy in marketing!
Greg Davies That is correct, he just needs to relax he seems a bit pressured. He just needs to answer honestly like the way he talks in his videos.
He started a gold digger dating site which is why he dodged it. Tai is great but he def Hides things
I've followed Tai Lopez for 2 years and never heard him disclose some of what you brought out of him. Excellent interview. Thank you both for openly sharing the "how to..."
SMH Tai Lopez. I agree that age is subjective, but not sharing something as simple as your age isn't helping your case. Thanks for the video Lewis
yeah it is.
+Raymond Duke My comment has nothing to do with what I took away from the video, as I took away many helpful things. Step off your self-righteous pedestal, "Duke"
LOL yup,
I disagree, the fact that the host and everyone watching this so focused on his age SHOWS that everyone is just here to dog on Tai Lopez.
Lewis is so amazing at this. So kind, so respectful
OH MY GOD YESSSSSSS. Lewis when is your Brandon Carter talk gonna be on?
Your interviews are very intriguing and makes your guest really think about their answers .
Truly genuine
I think he shows the classical signs of a psychopath/sociopath, superficial charme, manipulative, complete lack of empathy, hence normal peoples feeling about sth being "off" about him
Tai Lopez has changed my life. Helped me to get to that next level. His 67 steps program is AMAZING
LOVE this interview! thanks for the VALUE Lewis! :) "HEY.... I'm just in my back yardddddddddddddd......." Gotta Love The Realness from Taiiiiii
In all honesty if we read between the lines, I think deep down what Tai truly desires is the approval/praise from a father or father figure to tell him they're proud. So far it seems he's not all that satisfied with his success or past successes.
I agree
KAYLA xo you hit the nail on the head. He's got rejection issues and seems like he can be a bit of a jerk.
Completely right I agree with you on that one I was thinking similar things
Just saw the title and knew it was going to be good. Love both you guys!
He also shares decent content once you trim the fluff.
precisely bro.
For tax reasons it’s better to rent the house you live in own the rest !!!
i love that about the thief - how do you keep your heart open when you know people do bad things all the time...loved this thanks guys there is a difference in felt sense intuitive gut knowing and paranoia
37:18 KNAWLEDGE
But listening to this gave me a much better impression of him:-)
These two are very different people.
Well Done! Can't wait for the Summit of Greatness!
Just way too cagey to not be questioned.
yea I would never buy from someone who is afraid to be transparent with me.
Be well ;-)
He's 41 for anyone wondering. He doesn't want to say because he'd rather people think he's younger.
Great insight
When you are giving advice to people every single day, you are program not to give a direct answer. That's why I think it's hard for Tai to be authentic. Lewis Howes however, is a good interviewer. He manages to get Tai answer out. I follow both of them and both are a great guy.
Fuck off, idiot
True
P
Respect. Lewis Howes is a great interviewer, and Tai Lopez has more than a couple pearls of wisdom to share with the world. I particularly liked his 1st truth that he said at the end of the interview.
@ 10:30
Tai doesn't want to give his age to prevent bad feelings of relating age and income, yet he had no issues posting a vid stating a 19 year old made his first $million.
Anyhow, I'm subbed. I like interviewer's interrogation style.
A book a day. He doesn't read page for page. Just the main points.
You can learn lots from Tai. Just buyer beware
The Three Truths. Very powerful exercise. Love it!
I like how Lewis called Tai out on avoiding certain answers and being "non-authentic". I do enjoy Tai's Reading Lsit and some of his videos, but definitely felt like he was dancing around alot of answers.
That being said, I liked Tai's response regarding why he shows videos of his cars. Great interview.
+John Arbolino Jr. I think that's part of personality but I can relate to it.
Lewis, you did an incredible job. Looked like a very challenging interview. I'm glad you kept probing and asking tough questions. It's interesting the responses you got.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and drive with the world. It's been inspiring to follow you over the past few years.
Cheers man.
Brutal Interview to watch... I felt like I was watching a politician being interviewed... he didn't answer any questions...
Seems like you don't like Tai, Lewis. Your frustration with his indirect answers was obvious. Just seems like you don't like him.. Maybe I'm off.
Wow! Lewis that was one great interview! Thank you so much! Keep up the great work!
Here in my garage just bought this new Lamborghini
There is a basketball court back there.
Just gonna tease this here ;)
soundcloud.com/djveauxmusic/dj-veaux-ft-tai-lopez-here-in-my-garage-original-mix/s-CdJH8
***** thanks melly! Getting an animation done for it so should be releasing in September/October ;)
This..Was...Amazing...
FOR ALL THAT KNOWLEDGE
Great Interview. I enjoyed some of the insights and the details that divulged about some of the insights interesting stuff
I'm getting the same feeling. He might either be incredible or totally unauthentic, I can't figure it out yet.
Yup, I think he is trying to create some mistique but he is most def not pulling it off. It's that or he has something to hide.
+Kaya-Quintana.nl I think it's his personality but if you think about it we take ideas and certain traits from people and try to make it our own
he has everything to hide, specially the fact that he's a massive charlatan
I'm not judging him on his personality, I'm just reacting to his behavior and the way he doesn't answer the questions. He doesn't give straight answers and dodges simple questions. That is what comes across as shady.
He might not be shady at all, but if so many people see the same thing, he might want to look into it. We all have something to learn.
I watched the whole thing and it was very inspirational and I definitely learned a lot. Great interview questions and a great person was interviewed also. Many thanks to everyone who made this happen.
Idk who dodged better these last few days, McGregor this weekend or Tai with these questions. Thanks for not lettin up Lewis lol
Lewis,
Your interviews are always great and I really enjoy them. You, yourself are an inspiration and thank you.
Without knowing his age it's significantly harder to timeline his claims of the things he says he's done. Therefore by remaining a mystery reduces his chances of being exposed for who he really is. He'll be the next Lou Pearlman. Lol.
AdamIvy hes is around 45
41
Why does it matter how old he is?
Why are people such nosy pricks these days? Do famous people not have a right to privacy?
All you judgemental twats suck.
Lol he just bought four major companies. What’s your thoughts on that? Haha
Taino Adrian Lopez birthdate: April 11, 1976
mother: Andrea Franziska Avanzato Burkenroad

I already commented on this video once but I do wanna say for those people that aren't particularly fond of Lopez this interview is worth watching just to see Lewis' interview skills. He kills it.
I don't trust Tai Lopez. He seems sketchy and avoidant.
.
go and watch his snapchat.
believing you have psychic abilities are early symptoms of you going crazy. sorry
Judge not, not be judged.
edgar sanabria I don't believe he has something to hide, in a dark secret way, but instead trying to bury an insecure self from his past
This is one of the best interviews from you both!
All you need is KNAWLEDGE and FUEL UNITS......
Loved the interview. Looking to more greatness in the lives of people. People are like books, they are wise, loving, caring, comforting, and all the above. Thank you.
tai dances around questions so much. needs to be more transparent
I like Tai Lopez, but his lack of transparency gives the impression that he's a bit shady.
yoshiki kondo lopez rents all his shit. but has millions from the suckers that buy his garbage
Really love how direct the questions were on this one !
This dude is so sketchy. He never discloses simple things like his age or how he got rich. He makes up these BS 67 steps programs but where's his track record as a successful businessman? He NEVER says how he got money before his "coaching" services. It's just sketchy.
soooo...he didn't mention working on the farm? or the 9 to 5? cause I swore he did
He does actually. His money is from investing in night clubs. That's how he first built his connections with high profile people.
Brilliant interview Lewis your authenticity shines a light
Can Tai answer just one question??
Lewis Howes you have definitely done the best you could! Was such a difficult interview. You are brilliant and full of true personality and soul, as always. Well done Lewis.
yes I love this interview. ..I perceived that everybody should be the same person with wealth. ..or without it...money only enhance who we truly are...that's why we need to show to ourselves the best version of us, so @ the end we know we fulfill the purpose we born to be. Have great day Lewis...you r showing a great way to make a difference in this world...I'm inspired!
Every single one of my BS sensors was pegged.
But good work, Lewis.
Best Tai Lopez interview I have seen yet. Well done. I have learned a lot from Tai. Love the 3 Truths at the end.
