    Grant Cardone: Okay so what's your favorite Ice Cream dude?
    Tai Lopez: Well let me put it to you this way. Um, not everbody likes ice cream. It was something the school system took away from me. You know back then, school systems wouldn't teach you about ice cream. So yeah I think for me the biggest thing is freedom. I was eating ice cream once and you know people always ask me, "what kind of animal do you wanna be?" and I always say I wanna be a bird. Because if there's something I don't like, I can just fly away. You know at the end of the day, knowledge.

      Tai Lopez Hey Tai, I'm two wks into familiarizing myself with your outlook and teachings. I'm immediately recognizing the benefits of ((surrounding myself with more curious/bright individuals)) and respect the consistency of your character. From your bare upbringings, to the role your mentors had in shaping your course. I dig your spirit and frankness. Unquestionably the ability to be versatile is key I'm gathering. Up until yesterday, I had never heard of Grant. And can tell he is a wise dude simply by how he isn't too proud to ask for your advise on what he can do to enhance his reach. Despite being older then you. There is always new shit to learn. Anyway, great segment. PS: I agree with Grant, this interview was better than the one with Mark Cuban.

    • @johngoldstien6937
      @johngoldstien6937 7 років тому +19

      Answering questions like a politician means you don't give a direct answer and spin the question into something different that you would rather talk about. Lopez has more followers because hes in the social media business, Cardone has more money and property because hes in sales/ real estate. You may like Lopez's entertainment, but I value Cardone's experience more.

    • @kikyoass
      @kikyoass 7 років тому +4

      John Goldstien I agree Cardone gives more practical advice and I appreciate that. Grant came into this interview just hard set on his views and he spend most of the time in every video trying to convince his audience that his way is the only way. Tai acts more like a Kardashian...but he often talks about principles, and reference quotes from successful people in every industry. Nothing wrong with either way

    I loved the advice Tai gave Grant at the end. When it comes to social media you don't necessarily have to be the most educational but the key is being entertaining. Depending on who you're trying to reach yes you have to be informative/educational but ultimately people want to be entertained. If you don't make your posts entertaining people won't remember it or want to follow/subscribe. People rarely remember what you said but the remember how you made them feel. And telling us to live an interesting life not necessarily for the purpose to get more followers, do it for yourself and at the same time it'll entertain and get you more followers. Helps sell the dream! Great work guys! Love you both🙏🏽

    I've read the comments, so many people hatin on Tai, they don't realize what he is saying is true. I personally was a lowly houseboy when I was young. Been reading a lot of books, and got started in business, have three businesses now actually. I have a car and a truck now and two motorbikes, I now live in a better place than the slum I used to before. Books and the knowledge it brings really does help!

    If you look at both their body languages. You can see that throughout the entire talk, Tai Lopez pretty much hides his hands in his pockets all the time showing that he is hiding something. No matter how good of a speaker you are at dodging questions, body language says it all.
    Grant Cardone on the other hand has his hands in front of him all the time and showing it to the camera. This shows confidence, directness and nothing to hide .

    Loved this interview!! I never liked Tai López until today and i just realized I was put off by his women and car videos, showing off an unrealistic life for the average American. But today, i have realized Tai is a VERY smart guy. I’m gonna start following him. I like how he is so knowledgeable about human mind. Thank you Grant!

    I am amazed that so many commenters can't respect what both these men have accomplished. They clearly have different ways of doing things, but both are successful in their own rights.
    Grant has his way, Tai has his. They seem to agree on Drive, sales, short term vs long term flipping, etc. Which, if you're smart is what you should be searching for rather than critiquing when your dead as broke.

    Biggest takeaway for me is that there are a few different power players you can follow but which one is best for you? This is the best example of why being mysterious, and open ended loops, while not disclosing your secrets attracts more attention to you. Grant tried to expose him, and get Te viewers to know Tai on a intimate level, but Tai was vague. Tai didn't even disclose his age! Not how much he spends a year on marketing.

    Love the quality vs quantity matter. I agree with both - Tai is right as you must have some quality and shine. I agree with Grant- you will never shine if you don't have the quantity, because executing 1000X is the only way to Trial and Error, and it's the only way to be talented, develops skills and have that instinct to create quality products and services.... doing actions is the root for innovation and scaling. Thanks so much Tai and Grant 🙏🏼🙏🏼💜💜

    Grant: One way to make your videos better, don't talk over your guests so much. Ask a question and give them time to respond. Guests bring value. However, I often can't hear their responses because they get talked over. I love your energy and no B.S. straight to the point mentality, and that is part of the reason I watch all your stuff, but sometimes you need to slow it down a notch. Keep going, don't get discouraged because someone else has more followers than you. Persist. Persist. Persist. Then you will reach your goal. Thank you for all the great content you have provided over the years. -Drew

    Tai Lopez: You talked about having enough money to buy your FREEDOM back and not have someone else control your time. I DESPERATELY want that for myself! I don't want to have to sell 40-50 hours a week of my time to someone else because I have bills and (almost) have to take what I can get. I want to build my business so I can help others scale up and help others that I'll never be able to reach. I want to be the guy that someone says, "Because of you, I didn't give up!"
