A lot of that looks familiar! We keep a "bin" of things ready to go of things that we don't store in the van all of the time right now because of the heat (batteries, fire starters, propane, etc) - our first aid kit is CONSTANTLY getting updated - each trip we seem to find things to add. One thing that we have recently added a an "essential" - is duplicate charging cords - we now have charging cords for all of our electronics, and our USB powered things. The jackery & solar panels are a HUGE bonus lately for us that we recently added. We also added some water filters to our van set up (we backpack and have some for that, but have larger ones for filtering water on the go in the van - it saves room and reduces waste). We are big fans of solar charging options, lights, etc - Our motto is always that if you are prepared - hopefully you don't need it!
That makes total sense! I totally understand having duplicate cords. I don’t have a solar panel yet, I don’t really see the need for one, but I have been toying around with the idea. I don’t have water filters in the van, I don’t live in the van, however I do have my water jugs filled up at the nearest water to go store. And since I mostly only travel through Michigan, and the upper peninsula, there are places where I can restock if I needed anything. I’ve never too far out that I would be done for. I’ve taken to leaving all my gear and boxed non-perishables in the vehicle since I don’t really need it to transport people. Last fall this region was hit by terrible rain and there was a lot of flooding and landslides that cut off different parts of the highway with vehicles trapped in between landslides. It was a real human drama! I felt so bad for those people struggling for days before rescue because I realized if I had been there, not only would I be able to look after myself for a few days quite comfortably, but also been able to help people with food and shelter.
Ohh my! That’s horrible! It’s good to be prepared and I was just talking with someone about being able to help others when we are prepared. But don’t beat yourself up. It wasn’t in your hands but if you could have or would have been there, you surely would have helped. ❤️

Most important item was the first aid kit. I cut open my finger slicing an avocado on July 3rd and lost alot of blood. My first aid kit with hydrogen peroxide, goz, and band aides saved me from having to go to the emergency room. The flint starter is cool 😎

Did you use the refrigerator a lot at home or just camping? Wasn’t it covered by warranty or anything? Just curious I’ve had a couple and I use one for medical stuff only it’s plugged in 24/7 and has all my insulin. The other is for when I travel you need to keep insulin cool. Have fun stay safe.
Hi Kenneth! I used it only while camping. So I was totally bummed out when it quit working. I was in contact with the company for a few weeks, as it was fading in and out. They were very helpful and sent me a new cord to start, as that’s what I thought what the problem was. But it turned out it was an internal issue. I have sent sent it back and I’m awaiting a refund. I will keep everyone posted on that. I’m looking into other types of refrigerators that will work for my situation and set up. I don’t want anything too big as I like to keep my space clean and uncluttered. I mostly go camping by myself anyway, with the exception of my granddaughter, whom I take every now and again. No, it’s super sturdy. After you use it, you would remove the bag, twist it up and I double bag it. Dispose of it properly. 🙌🏼💯
