Mega Man X DiVE Offline is an unusual game to review. I wouldn't label it as "good," and I wouldn't recommend it to newcomers to the franchise. Given its nature as a collection of Mega Man characters, it's evident that this game is designed for fans. Nevertheless, I can't help but appreciate it on principle. For the sake of preservation and making the game accessible to those who dislike gacha experiences, Mega Man X DiVE Offline is a commendable effort, showing that all gacha titles should offer offline versions so that both contemporary and future audiences can enjoy them without the burden of excessive monetization.

War of the Visions for sure. It’s such a good game.
Yeah but I weeped when I saw that Mega Man became a gacha game.
Xenoblade 2 shows how gatcha mechanics can be a fun filled 720 hr experience w.o making you a complete broke tool just saying.
And as for much people clamour over xenoblade 3, that game was 100%ed in 250 hrs opposed to the longevity of XC2. Gatcha can work if its not monetary

Agree completely with this model. Go online until it’s “dead” and then go offline with a fitting price tag. Exactly why FFXI should’ve had an offline version a long time ago. That should’ve been the first game to do it and normalize for all other games after it but alas, we’re out of luck.
Even if the execution isn't the best, I appreciate this game for the sheer concept

I bought this on Steam to play on my Asus ROG Ally when it was on sale. Nice to experience the gacha without all the needlessly mtx or energy that needs to recharge to halt your progress.
It was neat getting to unlock plenty of familiar characters while even playing some from games I haven't played or lucky enough to try through renting it as back then I unable to freely buy many games or access to the internet to know which games came out.
I'm hoping Capcom would rerelease Mega Man Legends games as well as Star Force series and X Command on modern systems.

It's Mega Man, Capcom would be stupid enough to NOT put it on the Switch and other consoles.
This is just a starting point into bringing dead gacha games back to life, so let them work on adapting MM X DiVE Offline on said consoles, especially the Switch given its hybrid nature.
Datamine has been a thing since first year, they were supposed to implement it at the same time as it got released in steam, now the Ghosts 'n Goblins collab never got released among with other SF units and OVER-1 units either
