That top & your fabric choice is so cute! The construction is definitely "interesting", but I really love how you explain things, you make it all look so easy.
This is another perfect style for you. What a lot of work! It's like someone in design school was given the assignment of making as complex as possible a garment starting with a peasant blouse. That person succeeded and it is a success for you!
Lovely! What pretty fabric. Such a tricky pattern to sew. I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to try it. You seem such a calm person. Catching your finger on a machine needle hurts briefly but then takes a while to stop bleeding. I'm binge watching all your videos and loving them all. X
Very cute! Thanks for the tutorial. I’m going to be making the dress version for a holiday party. Good to know it’s a fitted bodice and not flowy like I thought too.
Good day. What a lovely top, but such a complicated sew, which you did beautiful as usual. You look great Can’t wait for next weeks garment. Caroline x
I love it! It was deceptively complicated. While on the dress form, it looked really cute without the sleeves too. I don’t know how that would work but it would be cute
Nice make. I have the pattern but haven’t sewn it yet. Glad I saw your sew along, you did a great job. That front tie piece was a real concern but seeing you do it made it quite clear. Thanks for sharing 😊
Marie you are a LIFESAVER! I was recommended to watch your tutorial for this blouse by comments on my channel. I have just started vlogging and actually I'm doing really well as the difference with my vlogs is that I show my mistakes of which there are 100s 😂 I have only been sewing for about a year although I've had my machine for 5 years now. I bought this pattern ages ago and I am so pleased that I didn't make it one of the first patterns I tried. I too thought hemming the peplum before adding it to the top was weird! I am doing the option that the model is wearing and haven't read the pattern yet but I am wondering if they want me to hem the frills on the sleeves before I add them (I won't be doing that!). If you fancy a laugh at how NOT to do this blouse give my Friday Sews vlog from 10th March a look. You will spot the error I made when you clip the sides of the bodice and pull it down to the peplum seam - I had taken mine further so the blouse was looking a bit 'cropped'. I must say I don't think McCalls patterns explain things very well not when this pattern says it's for a confident beginner 🤔 I have subscribed and ordered a few of the things you recommend off of Amazon especially that double sided tape because WOW did I have four hours of fund with the zipper! Thank you again, my hero! Karen x (sorry for the long ramblings)
Thank you! I'm so glad the video helped! We all make mistakes. If you watch me for a while, you'll see mine 😅 but there is also always some way to pull it together. You're doing great. Congratulations on your channel's success 👏👏
Very, very pretty! Nicely done!!!! Again, I like the finished garment on you vs. on the dress form. Looks so much better. 😊 Love your videos/tutorials! I appreciate your patience with difficult patterns, such as this one. So glad I found your YT channel. Became a subscriber only yesterday and have enjoyed watching your creations come to life. 👍🏻 Thanks so much for sharing your sewing talent!
Turned out great.. Love the material.. I am a faithful follower.. And check for new videos every day.. You have inspired me to begin sewing again. Thank you.
Lovely as usual! I’m too lazy to mark my pivot points - since the edge of the throat plate is 5/8” from the needle, I just use that to know when to pivot. Your videos are so much fun to watch. It really feels like a much more experienced friend teaching tried and true techniques.❤
You are amazing! This blouse and print is absolutely beautiful. It certainly will brighten up your winter wardrobe. Looking forward to your next video.
Love your fabric choice! Very cute for fall. Good advice to test any marking tool on a new fabric, just in case. Better safe than sorry.😊 It turned out really pretty. Thanks for sharing your project.
I have this pattern. My first attempt at FBA using a table cloth and this pattern. I got it right, but wrong size pattern. I’m not giving up!! I’m going to watch this video now.
The blouse came out perfect. I was kind of worried of the front opening but it closes on itself without any issues. I’m with you when it comes to hems. I will never hem bottoms or sleeves until the end. Great video like always.
Hi Marie when I saw the material you were using I went oh my gosh I love that I knew I liked it I have it in my stash I think I’ll be making something with it it’s so pretty!
I wish I had the time you seem to have for your sewing! Looking forward to it later in life. I especially like your videos because I usually learn at least something about sewing and how to be a better seamstress!! You also get me very inspired to work on my fashion design class work lol
Very cute! Yeah, I don't get why the instructions tell you to hem in pieces. It just creates more chances for the hem to misalign and you also have to do the extra work of stitching the seam allowances down at the very edge, which doesn't look as clean as one long hem. So strange. But fun project and cute blouse. Thanks for the video!
Wow, that turned out so nice. Seemed like overly complicated construction, but once again you show such good step by step that I feel like I could sew it! When you find a pin that snags do you throw it away or do you have a fix for it?
It turned out really well! I wondered there for a bit. It looked like it might be a pain to make things fit together, but you pulled it off as you always do despite the dumb instructions provided. I am sorry you hurt your fingers. It makes me feel better actually because I am such a klutz and it is good to see someone struggling too.
That top & your fabric choice is so cute! The construction is definitely "interesting", but I really love how you explain things, you make it all look so easy.
The blouse is gorgeous - so floaty and feminine.
Wow, dogs got sweaters, must be fall and chilly! Sooooo excited for that blouse
This is another perfect style for you. What a lot of work! It's like someone in design school was given the assignment of making as complex as possible a garment starting with a peasant blouse. That person succeeded and it is a success for you!
Yes! But now that it is done I'm happy with it 🤣
Your fingers with bandaids look like mine too when sewing, glad I’m not alone!
Great video!
That’s some interesting fabric origami there and the result is a lovely blouse.
Beautiful blouse! Thank you for sharing how you sew, I learn so much from you every time I watch.
Beautiful fabric and blouse . 😊
Watching a master class. Wow!
That fabric is so pretty! The top came out lovely.
Brilliant footage, I have this pattern, and now feel much more comfortable about making it. Thanks so much.
My little cat loves to sleep on the ironing board in my sewing room too!
Fabric is awesome

Good day. What a lovely top, but such a complicated sew, which you did beautiful as usual.
You look great
Can’t wait for next weeks garment. Caroline x
Another lovely make.
Beautiful fabric.
I love it! It was deceptively complicated. While on the dress form, it looked really cute without the sleeves too. I don’t know how that would work but it would be cute
Yes, cute sleeveless, but I'm not sure how that would work with the way it is put together.. hmmm
Very pretty top! Would look nice with light weight🙂 mock turtleneck. sweater.
Nice make. I have the pattern but haven’t sewn it yet. Glad I saw your sew along, you did a great job. That front tie piece was a real concern but seeing you do it made it quite clear. Thanks for sharing 😊
That fabric is perfect for your coloring and your blouse is lovely. Thanks for sharing lots of good tips! Love the puppy paw pitty patter sounds.

The top came out beautiful !! Love the leaves fabric!! I’m sure you’ll get a lot of wear out of this top!!😊

I love everything about this shirt: fabric, sewing process and end result.

Great tip for the tissue paper and the dart - loving your videos because I always learn something new. Your sewalongs are so clear and detailed.

Such a cute top and looks great on you. It's definitely a more difficult pattern than I'm able to sew atm but 1 day maybe 😊 Great Job as always! 💙

I try to remember to throw bad pins away but sometimes I absent-mindedly put them back in with the rest
Marie, the blouse came out nice and it looks great on you. Did you make the dog sweaters?
Suzanne
Yes, I knit the dog sweaters. Fast little projects for 😊😊
This one pattern here is a real toughy for me
It turned out really well! I wondered there for a bit. It looked like it might be a pain to make things fit together, but you pulled it off as you always do despite the dumb instructions provided. I am sorry you hurt your fingers. It makes me feel better actually because I am such a klutz and it is good to see someone struggling too.
How attentive the calves are!
I can't find that fabric on the joann's app and I neeeeeeed it... Anybody know what it's called?
I really don't know what it is called. There wasn't a name on the selvage either. I'm sorry!
I found it. It is a customizable print on the website but I randomly found a bolt in the bigger Joanns by Me. Bought 3 yards.... Thank you
Can you tell me where you got that amazing bias tape?😊
Do you mean the sticky tape?
The peplum part that was attached
@@susananpatterson9043 oh! I bought it on Etsy. Do a search there for bias cut stay tape. I don't remember the seller, but that should bring it up.
I have the pattern. But I cannot zip up back. Do you think i could get by not using the zipper
You really need a zipper to be able to get in... Maybe put a side zipper?
Beautiful!
