Hi, this is a comment for all of your wonderful videos.....thank you SO much..for taking the time to explain everything, not rushing, and making such a good job of everything. I've been a sewer since I was a little girl..(I'm now approaching 70!!) and I've learned such a lot from you - I look forward to seeing your channel, so please keep on! Thank you Thank you xx
When you look at the cover illustrations, it Does look like a coat. It has fastenings! I always thought it was a coat as well, when ever I looked at it. I’m loving hearing your thought processes btw. Pin and slide methods of pattern alteration never made sense to me before, but hearing you talk your way through it has been so helpful.
I've had this pattern in my stash for years! Completely forgot about it until I came across your video, maybe it's time to pull it back out. great video!
I cannot wait for this one! I line my sleeves in slippery fabric so I don’t jam up my arms going in. Love this channel. Also I love your glasses so much I got a pair. Trifocals for me. 😊
That is a large canvas artboard like you buy at a craft store for painting. And after the canvas I put a layer of white fleece for padding. When I'm going to draw on it with a marker I also put a layer of brown paper under my tracing paper so that the marker won't bleed through. I hope that helps.
Be sure to frame all those old needle books she you are done. Well i had to go back and redo my collar. Thanks for tips.
Will do!
The sleeves modification technic is so clever!!!! Thank you for sharing it!

I am laughing at the skinny arm vs fat biceps. I only recently stumbled on you videos. I have learned so much from you.
Yup! Those are my sausage arms 🤣

Can you please do a blog on your everyday life on the farm?
I have that exact same pattern, but it is listed as V9280. I also bought it intending to make a coat out of it!

Loved the sleeves altering, I have to do this too. 1st part done. Tomorrow I may have time for the 2nd. x
What is your canvas board made from besides canvas? Or more like how is it made? Just wondering.

Where did you get your pretty weights turquoise color I think?
I thought those back in the 1980s. They are in June tailor product sometimes you can find them on eBay but they haven't made them in quite some time
I have this pattern.
How did you mark the fabric? This was around 25min mark 27:15
You talking about the white lines on the blue fabric, right? It's been a long time since I did this, but I'm guessing it was a white chalk pencil.
Wow , how would you ever wear a coat over that dress, and it would have to be worn when it wasn’t too warm. Seems very fanciful.
