Here's an idea: what if Biden stays but picks another running mate? Another way to solve the issue of access to the campaign funds. I believe Harris is one of the reasons Biden has been polling so low, even before the debate debacle. With his age, people always have the VP in the back of their mind. If he switched her for a more charismatic and exciting VP that could rally Indeps and moderate Republicans, people would be voting not just for him but for his succession. I was baffled when, in 2020---after promising that he'd be a one-term president to quiet concerns (already at the time) about his age---he then picked Harris, one of the least popular primary candidates among so many great ones! I’ve been shocked at the ineptness of Harris as VP. She seemed like a bad ass in the Senate. I can’t believe she was a DA in a major US city and a senator from CA. It’s like they installed a different woman as VP. Her ridiculous way she explains things, her cringy sayings, and laugh. I had secondhand embarrassment when she was explaining the war in the Ukraine. I was in the other room and I thought she was talking to children in kindergarten. There’s this country in Europe, called the Ukraine. There’s another country in Europe, called Russia. Russia decided they wanted to take Ukraine so they sent troops in to start a war! That is literally how she was describing this to a group of adults! SMH could sum up her candidacy with one word. Cringe! The White House to the Republicans, Kamala Harris as president! Probably handover the house in the Senate at the same time. No independent or Democrat is going to be excited to go vote for Kamala Harris 2024! I’m an independent, and I won’t have to think twice. I had never voted for Trump, but if it’s Biden or Harris, I most definitely will this year.

@@gerard113 - I hope it is a little more balanced in terms of the voices heard, I would like to keep subscribed and keep watching because I like Mark's reporting, but it is tough when the discussion is so lopsided in terms of the voices that are speaking. Granted, the topic of the day does lend itself to hearing more from one side than the other so hopefully this moves more towards the center going forward.

Example: America has the strongest economy in 50 years pause, we’ve got the lowest unemployment in 50 years pause. It was sad! I made up that example because I can’t remember what he was saying when he was inserting “pause”. After one sentence, he said “read two times“ it was pit sad. It seemed they got his drug cocktail dialed in, but he was literally an empty suit reading a Teleprompter. He had no idea what he was saying. He was just programmed to read that Teleprompter. Why would Jill Biden want to torture her husband and see him suffer? The alternative is to let her tired old, 81 year old husband retire in peace and enjoy his golden years.
This is not the only time in history where the WIFE was so drunk on power that she held on.
Here's an idea: what if Biden stays but picks another running mate? Another way to solve the issue of access to the campaign funds. I believe Harris is one of the reasons Biden has been polling so low, even before the debate debacle. With his age, people always have the VP in the back of their mind. If he switched her for a more charismatic and exciting VP that could rally Indeps and moderate Republicans, people would be voting not just for him but for his succession. I was baffled when, in 2020---after promising that he'd be a one-term president to quiet concerns (already at the time) about his age---he then picked Harris, one of the least popular primary candidates among so many great ones! Her campaign died before the voting even started, she ended up in 17th position out of 29 and her popular vote count never even got to 4-digits!
He picked her because she is a black woman… The same reason, he will not replace her. Other than that, I agree with you 100%. Sad as that may be.

From ABC's interview my take is that Biden thinks people are questioning his accomplishments. He doesn't get it. He, himself, said he did not go back and watch his debate performance. The only policy that they do better on then Trump is abortion. That certainly not enough for me to vote for them. They would need a new candidate with a totally new vision.

I believe Kamala is dead woman walking. Calling Pres Trump “the evil Cheeto” isn’t the type of campaign that will sway me, as an independent to vote against Trump. I’m very conflicted because life was easier for me when Trump was president. Things were a lot less expensive. I’m on a Social Security and make about 1200 a month. When Trump was president I was able to make it the entire month. Since Biden has become president, I run out of money a week to 10 days before the end of the month. I eat a lot more Ramen noodles than I did, when Trump was president. Other than that, I differ with both parties on certain issues. Some issues I like the Republican stance and other issues I like the Democrats stance. I am not a voter that goes into a booth and check all the DS or all the Rs. To me it’s extremely important who they pick. Harris will be an automatic vote for me.

I could go for a Bernie-Bloomberg ticket. Notice I said 'Bernie' and you know who I'm talking about, first name recognition. Bernie's age doesn't matter to Gen Z. Bloomberg could self-finance the ticket, while Bernie offsets Bloomberg's 'billionaire' stigma. Bloomberg would appease AIPAC, who don't want anything to upset the win-win they've got with Trump v. Biden.
Bernie-Bloomberg would be the best chance of an actual win, and it would certainly prevent a landslide defeat.
