  • in my time i have watched countless "I QUIT MY JOB" videos - and i can't believe it's finally my turn !!! 😍
in today's video, my main aim was to be very open and honest with what's going on in my personal and professional life, to give you a better understanding of me! quitting my job has been the most relieving, rewarding and stressful BIG thing i have done in quite some time. it's incredibly scary not knowing what the future holds - but i'm taking this as my opportunity to follow my dreams. i hope you guys enjoy xx

I'm so happy for you!!!🎉🎉It couldn't have been an easy decision. I also had a cushy 9-5 job in NYC with a great boss when out of nowhere got hit with a FULL BLOWN quarter life crisis at 25. I journaled and thought about everything and decided to quit last September with NO backup plan or job lined up. I'm now on my 1-year "sabbatical" period to spend time with family, heal my anxiety, and travel as much as my savings will allow. Of course I worry about money, my career gap, potential regrets, judgment, lack of direction, etc. but I still have NO regrets quitting and I'm sure you won't either. We are only giving ONE life to live and what truly matters is our mental health, our loved ones, making memories, learning new things, and actually feeling the life and earth we are given to experience. Acknowledging the huge privilege I have but we're still young, we gotta follow our heart, no need for excessive worry, and as you said, we'll figure it out no matter what happens. ✨
Corporate life will always be here. We won't.

thank you so much for spending the time to share 🥹 i fully feel the same as you, we only have one life and i think sometimes you have to go with that feeling in your gut. i LOVE that you are still enjoying your “sabbatical” .. what a fabulous way to step away from your job and just enjoy life for a little bit. i love this for both of us!!!💗

maybe you could find some sort of fun part-time job that still gives you a lot of time to work on UA-cam; like at a cafe or something where you could meet people and learn more Portuguese? also I would love a video where you show how you create your vision boards!

you know what, this is exactly what i thought about too.. i would LOVE to work in a cute little cafe🥹 however i know the pay in portugal is unfortunately on the low side, but i will definitely look into the options. i would love to learn more portuguese! and yes!!! i can make that video this week 🥰💗

@@mreesking awesome! I am currently 7+ years into my corporate job working remotely (I live in the US) and while it definitely has its perks, I totally understand the desire to be more free and find more purpose. I also try to do my own soul-searching on the side and have even thought of doing something like working in a cafe just to socialize more 😆

Harder to quit cold turkey in the US. No NHS here.
