I was a very young child when Elvis would ride his motorcycle down from Memphis to visit his relatives in his and my hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi. We lived next to his cousin, Harold Ray Presley, who later became sheriff and was killed in a shootout. I loved Elvis's motorcycle and he would take me for rides when he visited Mr Harold. Fun memories! As a teenager I found out Elvis set up a trust and paid for my university degree. Elvis was known for his generosity and I was a lucky recipient of his generosity.
I think kissing and shaking hands with his audience was a wonderful thing for him to do. You know every woman that got a kiss was blown away and every guy who got a handshake was blown away and everyone that was there for the concert was enthralled I’m sure by just seeing him interact with the audience. And it isn’t just the kissing that enthralls people but his vocal ability, his genuine sincerity when he says thank you, his funny remarks during the song, etc. He was just an all around likable guy who seemed to have a heart for people and knew they were the ones that he owed all of his fame and fortune to. And he knew giving out kisses and handshakes or autographs were a small thing for him to do to give back some of himself for the fame and wealth they had given him. Not to mention all the money he gave away to people. He really was a generous guy in every way not just financial. And I have to say, I love my husband of 35 years but if Elvis was handing out kisses then I would have been in line to get one. And I would have thanked🥰 my husband later when we got home for letting me get a kiss from Elvis!🤣❤️
I love Elvis so much! He died eight years before I was born, but he has completely captured my heart. I listen to him when I happy or sad - his music has helped me so much. Life wouldn’t be as wonderful without him. Very special person. I enjoy your reactions.
I remember when my daughter was 3yrs old and was absolutely spell bound whilst watching Elvis in a film. He had died several yrs before. That is the power he had over womens emotions.
Yes, Elvis was giving his fans wonderful memories. He usually did kiss the women during "Love Me Tender". He loved his fans and sang this song, "The Wonder Of You" and "Can't Help Falling in Love " directly to us. I was one of those lucky girls and getting kissed by Elvis at 10 different concerts was the best memory of my 21st year. He was a sweet, incomparable man and even more gorgeous in person.
My aunt, who is still alive and well, kissed Elvis at the Louisiana Hayride in the 50’s. She still tells the story and she still smiles her biggest smile while doing so.
The most gorgeous and talented man to ever live. His heart was pure gold.People who met and knew him said he was the best looking, even better looking in person, and the most wonderful man they had ever met.He sang 4.2 octaves, had a photographic and auditory memory, played every instrument, had 50 singing voices and had hits in every genre..even opera like versions. Has sold ,according to Sony ,more than four billiin and his songs are still going platinum. He was the highest paid actor of his time, saving a studiio from bankruotcy.His. movie profits bankrolled Cleopatra. He is in Guiness as having the record for most audience attendance.More than 40 countries viewed the first ever satellite performance given with more than 1.5 billion watching. This has never been matched.Graceland is the most visited home in the U.S. except the White House .I could go on and on about the talent and charisma he had.I saw him in concert twice.Flexible? That is so an inadequate description because he was 8th degree blackbelt and was double jointed. He did not have to.practice like Michael Jackson. He just moved and gyrated as he felt the rhythm. The world stopped when he died..a shock so strong that was off the richter scale, felt around the world.Music will never be the same. The world was so nuch better off with this beautiful soul who gave til there was no more to give .He was a world class humanitarium. Long live Elvis Presley, King of Music.
I find it hilarious when he said to the one guy “How are you doing, Sir?” And then he proceeds to kiss all the girls at that table, probably including the guy’s wife!
BROS, There is another live version of "Love Me Tender" from the "1968 Comeback TV Special" which is superb! From that same television special, there are several songs that aren't scripted, with a smaller, more intimate audience for ELVIS to sing in front of. He had finished his movie career, and with the rapidly changing music scene, he was very apprehensive that his fans had moved on to the artists that were now popular. Please react to "Trying to Get to You" to see what happens from that point, as far as his relevancy to that time period, and his popularity. Will ELVIS survive all the many changes in his life, and especially changes in the world? Dr. Martin Luther king had recently been assassinated, and ELVIS was devastated. From that same 1968 Special, ELVIS closes his show with a simply dynamic performance of "If I Can Dream", a moving tribute to Dr. King, whom ELVIS loved and admired. THANK YOU for your outstanding reactions, and hope I didn't bend your ears too much!
I think I have told you that I became friends with Charlie Hodge his confidant and best friend for years after Elvis died. I did get a kiss from Charlie. He told me In the Vagus shows Elvis would walk in the audience n kiss every girl he could n not just the girls in front of stage. Charlie said he had to stop going in the audience eventually as he was getting death threats. He then put a pistol in his boot n had his bodyguards closer to him and they all had guns. Of course Elvis had black belt in karate.i only got to the 1973 Aloha concert n sat 3rd row center. I was a crazy 21 year old n even jumped up on my seat n thru him a kiss n he winked at me. I love your reactions esp to Elvis. Keep the videos coming. I will check your playlist n see some other great songs of his
I remember fans saying that they refused to wash their face for a week after Elvis kissed them. Some claimed that they'd 'never wash my face again;' obviously hyperbole but a show of just how enthralled they were with him.

Guys, thank you both so much for reacting to my request. I wasn't expecting you to respond to it. I very much appreciate that you did. Please accept this as a token of my gratitude to you. I saw your previous reactions that showed you Elvis the "singer." So, I recommended this to you to show you, Elvis the "ENTERTAINER." IMO, Elvis is the greatest entertainer to EVER step onto a stage. He was loved by his loyal fans & Elvis always wanted to give his love back to his fans in return. Elvis entertained in different types of concert venues. And yes, he would often kiss/touch hands with several fans during his concerts. However, this 1970 Las Vegas residency was used to film his movie documentary, "Elvis, That's The Way It Is." I highly recommend this film as it shows ALL the work it took for Elvis to prepare, rehearse, & perform during his early years of his Las Vegas residency era. This particular version of Love Me Tender was filmed at approx 5 different concerts during his 1970 Las Vegas residency, exclusively for his film documentary released in American movie theatres, in the same year. Seeing it at the theatre, as a pubescent young teenager, my reaction was shock & awe, sorta like your reactions in this post. No singer ever kissed as many fans & stepped out into his concert audience to greet & thank his fans as Elvis did for this movie documentary. So, this is the ONLY TIME Elvis interacted this much with his fans at a concert. I have never seen another performer do what Elvis did here & no other performer, but THE KING, can accomplish this EVER . Realize, this performance was done over 53 years ago, during the era of hippies & free love. Thanks again, gentlemen. You both did a FINE JOB! Nicholas Napa, CA PS Yes I have been fortunate to have attended several of Elvis' live concerts & NO he didn't kiss/touch as many fans nor step out into the audience (at all). When you're Elvis, YOU set the agenda, script be damned. Think how many people went home just thrilled, saying "Elvis walked right next to me.", or "I got a kiss from Elvis.".
The stuff dreams are made of to be kissed by Elvis I'd be in heaven he was the Goat 🐐 Elvis greatest performer ever no one comes close Just pretend is another great song and performance from him thank you both great reaction 😊
If a time machine happens in my lifetime, I'm going straight to all EP's concerts one by one....and standing first in line for a kiss. I might just miss the return trip altogether. What a wonderful man. Love you forever, EP 😘💯⚡❤
Great reaction and review. thanks very much. As you can see, it was cut short when he was in the audience. I think he kept the song going as good as he could, given the situation.
Not sure I'd want to be locking lips with so many people, so fair play to Elvis for embracing the er, embracing 🤣🤣🤣 That was hilarious. I'd have been laughing and cheering him on, and most likely poking fun at the prude at the back who was shaking their head in disgust (there's always one. Always). I wonder if Henry Cavill sings, and if he would ever consider an Elvis tribute... * mind wanders * 😜
In 1973 for Elvis' Hawaii concert, producer Marty Pasetta told Parker (E's manager) that he wanted to build a ramp for Elvis to walk out onto & Parker said no. Pasetta explained that it would be 8 ft. wide & Elvis could stay in the middle or go to the left or to the right if he wanted to (Pasetta knew how important the audience was to Elvis). Parker said no. Fortunately, Pasetta was able to meet w-Elvis & he explained exactly what he told Parker. Fortunately again, Elvis overrode Parker & told Pasetta to build the ramp. Pasetta told Elvis he wanted him to lose 25 lbs., which Elvis did. Elvis then hugged Pasetta & said you are one of the few people who has been totally honest w-me. And obviously here now in 1970 is the proof of how much the people meant to him which is what Pasetta saw going on. Elvis would have been just as spectacular in Hawaii, but without that ramp the concert would have had a very different feel if he could not walk out to the audience.
I’ve watched you gentlemen on occasion and I would like you to react to Elvis live Rapid City 1977 singing how great thou art or my way. He is ill. He is not in the best of shape, but those two performances are the most brilliant testimony to the strength of his voice and the power of his soul. Those songs both continue to bring me to my knees absolutely astounding thank you gentlemen.
"Ladies and gentlemen....Elvis has left the building." He usually had long scarves draped around his neck since he'd sweat so much. He'd take one off and drape it over a woman at the edge of the stage, and had a guy immediately put another one on him. Soon some other lucky gal would get that one, etc., etc. Master showman. Master Showman!

His wife Priscilla sits in the center in front of the stage in the red armchairs with Elvis' organizer. Think about it not just the husband of all the women he kisses in concert.
I do NOT like this one little bit. This is a beautiful, sweet ballad, and it’s impossible to enjoy. I much prefer young Elvis doing this song on The Ed Sullivan Show. It’s this kind of performance that has turned him into a caricature to those that don’t know Elvis.
The most handsome man that ever lived, talent that is unmatched. So blessed to see him in 1970, and to have lived during his time on Earth.

That makes you Elvis royalty!
Love hearing these since he kept his giving quite. He never took any tax deduction either from charitable giving. He was an amazing man.

Guys, I apologize, the amount I sent you was in error. This is what I originally intended to send you.

OMG! Thank you so much Nicholas for this, it was enough that you showed us the ENTERTAINER!... amazing and great to here you managed to get to several Elvis concerts! Brilliant... we have enjoyed our Elvis reactions and personally BP1 here.. I am really starting to understand what a genius this man is! :) Thanks again! Much Appreciated.. BPR
Hi Nicholas thanks for the support in 2023, let us know if you would like a reaction we now have a request a reaction template here :) Thanks again - www.buymeacoffee.com/britpopsreact
He wouldn't have been doing that in these COVID times.😢.
After Covid, he would.
Kissing the peoples King is genuine unlike having to bow and kiss the ring of a self pronounced fool King
Lol it was my mother he kissed
His wife Priscilla sits in the center in front of the stage in the red armchairs with Elvis' organizer. Think about it not just the husband of all the women he kisses in concert.
Women love them all over the world
I caught his scarf and a big lady stole it from me
No Way!.... we could get you a scarf but wouldnt be the same hee hee
bp1 if you dont like good music why are you there
@harveybecker4298
BP1 likes all types of music
I do NOT like this one little bit. This is a beautiful, sweet ballad, and it’s impossible to enjoy. I much prefer young Elvis doing this song on The Ed Sullivan Show. It’s this kind of performance that has turned him into a caricature to those that don’t know Elvis.
Please check out My Way from the 73’ Honolulu Special. It’s incredible!
How long did it take you to memorize your fake Analysis? 😂😂
