For my 58th birthday I bought myself the A5 Notebook folio and the 5 slotted pen case. This year is my 63rd birthday next month and my children bought me the 14 slot kaweco pens case and the EDC wallet. I also bought the A5 notebook cover all in crazy horse brown. Hi Michelle, I’ve been a subscriber/lurker for a good while, but never comment. I used to journal daily,but stopped 4yrs ago when I got my breast cancer diagnosis. I just shut down completely due to the aggressiveness of the cancer But 5 surgeries later I’m still here and have been thinking about beginning to journal again. Because of your video on the tomoe river journal you got from Barnes and nobles I ordered it 😊 I have a Twisbi iris, but haven’t used it for years. Your fountain pen collection is enviably beautiful. I have always admired Galen Leather products. I’ve purchased one of their everyday notebooks and their Kaweco exclusive. I use Leuchtturm A5 for my bullet journal and their Some Lines A Day 5 year. This year I also picked up an A6 Hobonichi notebook for an everyday carry and use a passport TR when traveling. I’m mostly a fountain pen person but when a ball point is needed I have 2 Parker Jotters, my black NYC one writes black, my blue one writes blue. I’ve always liked G2 gel pens but recently switched to Bic Gelocity. I have many fountain pen brands but I’m always using at least one TWSBI Eco every day. My Eco T Mint with an EF nib is always loaded with LAMY turquoise. Any of the Galen products would be welcome here. The A5 Folio is my fav but I love that green color. I always enjoy your videos. I have several Galen Leather products and they are excellent quality. I would like either of the everyday notebooks. I am currently loving A5 notebooks, and using a Midori A5 right now. I’ve got several Moleskine and Leuchtturm 1917 notebooks. I’m a huge fan of Tomoe River Paper but love the Moleskine after watching your videos. My current favorite pen is my Pilot Vanishing Point. It’s so creamy smooth on the Midori paper. Love your investigative work for Moleskine!
I've been lurking for a bit - listening to you talk about your journaling, how you collect scraps for your decorations, and your love for Moleskine (and the conspiracy around how to tell the good from bad paper) calms me for some reason 💖 I love decorative journaling too, but your videos are so comforting and remind me it doesn't have to be all about the aesthetic to be meaningful. My favorite notebook right now is my B5 Cup of the Galaxy Notebook Therapy that I use for daily tracking. Second favorite is my A5 Nami Notebook Therapy notebook 💕 My favorite pen is my Pilot Kakuno. I love Ferris Wheel Press inks, but my go to everyday ink for it is Pilot Iroshizuki in Take-sumi. It takes me a long time to subscribe, but I finally just did. I love how you share your ideas about not getting hung up on keeping your notebooks pristine. It has helped me relax and use my notebooks more. I’ve also gone back to notebooks I would have thrown away because I already started them and before I would think well it won’t make sense because the last thing I wrote was from a year ago. Your channel helped me just get in there again and enjoy the paper and pens again. It only has to make sense or be fun for me. Have been a longtime lover of Galen Leather too and now have another cart going thanks to you 😂 Don’t know if you’ve seen some of the videos about Lynda Barry’s book Syllabus, but that has also been enjoyable to play around with and come up with new ideas for journaling. Accidentally, bought two copies but love it so much I’m keeping both!

You always have a way of tempting me as no one else does! I just rediscovered an old fountain pen, the Visconti Van Gogh that has a fine nib, plunger loads has an opalescent body that is comfortably wide and is embellished with fine silver on the cap and clip. Now my new/old fav! Tried it today using Sailor Nekoyanagi ink which is purplish-brown. Beautiful! And of course taking a page from your book (pun intended) I tried them out in my various planners and journals and gotta say, my Hobonichi Techo Avec takes the prize for the best paper for that writing duo! Having gone through my stash and discovered even more of my “vintage” fountain pens, the 10 pen holder would really make my day or other zippered folio.
Loveeeee Galen Leather. I love my b6 folio (I’m sure that’s the size as I wanted the smaller size). And gosh I haven’t purchased a single GL product I haven’t loved ❤. They are gorgeous to look at. Thrill to unbox. And the quality of the product over the years I’ve used them has been exceptional. I use their (older version) 10 pen case and 5 with a field notebook In it that I use to track the ink in each of my inked fountain pen. Plus other pen cases, rolls etc. loved your Galen Leather collection. Now I am thinking of adding the new 10 pen case to my collection. lol
I am starting my first journal in January. I decided on a Hobonichi A6. You tube has been monumental in educating me on how to get started. I would LOVE any of the products since in just beginning my journey. My favorite fountain pen is my Sailor pro gear Mini filled with organic studio, Nitrogen. I love the sheen the ink leaves behind. Hi! Love your videos. My favorite in use notebook (at the moment) is a Galen trp in A5, my favorite size. Ohhh my fav fountain pen is a Pilot Capless filled with Birmingham Pen Co. Sterling Silver. I would be happy with either of the leathers, the A5 folio or the smaller fountain pen case!!! You are AWSOME, even if I don’t win. I also love Galen Leathers.
Been eyeing Galen Leather products for a while now and this video has been so helpful! My current notebook is an A5 hobonichi day free but I am super excited to be trying out a Sterling Ink next year. Favorite pen is a Platinum Lilas with Ferris Wheel Press Lady Rose. Don’t forget that Galen also sells pens and inks-including exclusives! I have a purple Kaweco and a blue Narwhal from them that I just love. I really like the design of the folios with the wide elastic. No more struggling to get stiff covers in and out. The new product designs are ingenious! Thank you for the thorough video on Galen leather. Wow! That green color is lovely! My in use notebook right now is an inexpensive amazon notebook. I'm finding that with my fountain pens, the paper makes a difference. I may have to invest in something a little better.

Thank you for going through such beautiful products. I’ve been contemplating adding Galen Leather items to my stationary and have found your videos helpful. I’ve just started getting into the traveler’s notebook style of journaling. I’m an artist so my favorite “notebook” is actually a mixed media sketchbook by Stillman & Birn Beta Series, softcover edition. The 5.5” x 8.5” sketchbook fits nicely in an A5 sized cover, so I’m really hoping to win the A5 Expansion zip folio! My favorite ink to use is Platinum Carbon ink because it’s waterproof, and I use it often in my sketchbooks.
These products look great!! I love my Sterling Ink Common Planner, it’s my everyday carry and I enjoy b6 slim and the a5. For writing I just started my journey with fountain pens and I loooove and exclusively write with my Lamy Safari and the Noodler’s Black Ink 🖋️ 😍 All the products look great and I would enjoy any of them but mostly the A5 folio and one of the notebooks. As i am very new to all this, I am currently using the Hobonichi Weeks for the next few months and next year (but really wanting to do a travelers/buju setup instead now). I just got a Lamy Safari as my first fountain pen and I am loving it for journaling and stuff. For work i love my rOtring with a .5 gel ink. Thank you so much for this opportunity to possibly own a beautiful Galen leather A5. I've been looking at it for quite a while. I watch you constantly and because of that have purchased a few. Well we won't even say how many moleskine notebooks LOL. What I would love from this is to be able to own that A5 folio. I love it so much because it is deeper and my notebooks are usually quite thick along with everything else I cover or carry. As far as pens go, I use the pilot G2 gel pen in broad. However, I don't like the feel necessarily of their pins. So I have found that Waterman rollerball pens take their refills perfectly. So I search different sites to buy used Waterman rollerballs and I have one in each one of my binders. I've been using standard size for the most part. Recently ended up with an A5 folio. However, I've discovered I really need one zips. I like the fact that you show us what you do in your life as well as what we could do. Again, thank you so much for this opportunity. It is awesome.

I really like the A5 folio cover. I love using my TWSBIIris with divine Imperial Purple. I have the four pen case. It is perfect to carry with me for my journaling.
Right now I’m using a Twsbi… actually several was different colors because I have color-coded journaling. I changed different sizes all the time as far as notebooks and presently I am in a B5 but just a couple months ago I was in an a6. you know how I am, I would love any of the items. The only thing I have from Galen leather is a5 trp. It would be nice to have a leather item, of course, but I’ve made it this far. Anyway, you know how much I adore you and all you do, and all you share and your amazing kindness.

Hi Michelle, That's an impressive "giveaway" you have planned out! I bought several Galen Leather products back in 2019...the original "squishy" A5 zippered folio with the same side as the new one, for the pens, in PURPLE, the PURPLE pencil pouch like you showed, and the PURPLE ZIPPERED travellers size folio, that they had at the time. They were wonderful, though mine have faded , the colour a lot...they are amazingly well made, and so durable...you just can't even break them if you try. I also discovered Pen and Gear years ago in Walmart, up here near Whitehorse, Yukon Canada, and was amazed how well they took fountain pen ink. My favourite paper is the original Tomoe River...BLANK, AND NOW, THE DISCONTINUED COMOS AIR LIGHT...which really makes your inks shine. I like the A5 size, and B6 size, and Travellers notebook size. My newest fav pen is the Kaweco Apricot Pearl, paired with Kaweco Apricot/Mandarin ink in a double broad nib. I have been using fountain pens since 1967, those Shaeffer ones...which I still have a bunch and they work amazingly, as an eyedropper too...I did all my high school notes from grade 9 - Grade 13 using my Shaeffer fountain pen and their cartidges...loved their turquoise ink back then , and still today. I have always been interested in Galen so thank you for sharing your haul! my fave notebook at the moment is the hobonichi day free, i've been using it to track my language learning - i'm currently learning Tagalog! And my fave pen is the Platinum Preppy - such a simple and classic fountain pen I can always rely on. I'm interested in getting their A5 folio cover, I will be in the Hobonichi Cousin for the first time in the upcoming new year! :)
If you ever want to use shimmer use it in your Twisbi pen. You can disable the pen quite nicely to clean your feed. I only use my Eco for shimmer inks and it’s beautiful

I've been loving my black pelikan with Diamine writers blood (perfect for fall 🍂) in either my travelers company memory journal or my moleskine expanded!! The A6 10 pen pouch in green caught my eye - this thicker case is so unique and I love that you said it doesn't feel like your pens are squished!

I've been lurking on your channel for quite some time, but when the whole Moleskine Saga started, I just had to subscribe! Your dedication to figuring out how to spot a unicorn is just my favorite thing ☺ I never thought I would have a Moleskine, cause I was always a loyal Leuchtturm1917 user, but after your videos I just had to get some. Didn't get a unicorn, unfortunately, but maybe some day 😌 RIght now I'm really into Stalogy notebooks, my favorite size is B6. There's just something SO nice and comforting about them for me and even though it's not Tomoe River Paper (which I haven't tried yet), I think it takes my Tombows and fountain pens really well. When it comes to favorite pens... I don't have that many fountain pens, but I'm really enjoying my Pilot Metropolitan Retro Pop Green and also Kaweco Collection Vibrant Violet. I love me some metal pens! And for the ink, I don't have a favorite combo, but I recently bought Sailor "Seiboku" and fell in love with it! And for non-fountain pens, I know it's not a very popular answer, maybe not a lot of people even know about this pen, but I LOVE my Ohto Horizon Point Knock with with their 0.5 ballpoint refill (not the gel one, it doesn't have the extra button for retracting the pen). It's also a metal pen, has a smooth needle point writing experience and it lasts forever, because the tip is very thin and it's an oil-based ink. Now, from my understanding this pen is discontinued, unfortunately, they now only have the gel version, which wouldn't work with the ballpoint refill, that I love. But I'm happy that just yesterday I could snag an extra Ohto Horizon pen secondhand for a good price, that's how much I love these pens 😄 Sorry for a comment with so many words, I just got really excited to share 😅 That's a very impressive Giveaway you're hosting! 💙 Is it interantional or only for US subscribers? I’ve always wanted to try their A5 folio, but I’m a broke student lol. My go to is tomoe river in a traveler’s notebook for personal use and kokuyo campus for class. I like those little mini spiral notebooks from Walmart (tried at your suggestion!) for general notes. My current favorite pen/ink combo is an opus88 mini broad with diamine Jack Frost. But I’ve got about 8 pens inked up an in use at any given time. I like to color code my notes.
I had no idea they changed the designs of the A5 zip cover. That’s amazing! I’ve yet to try their notebooks but I heard they’re amazing 🙌. My Favorite notebook currently is the Cafenote. My Favorite Pen and Ink is my Pilot Custom 823 with Pilot Iro Tsukushi. I would love the opportunity to win the A5 case or the Pen Case.

What a fantastic video. I bought a wallet insert in Crazy horse brown from Galen Leather earlier this year after watching one of your videos. The leather is so nice and soft. At first, I put it in a passport TN cover, but right now I am using it by itself. My favorite notebook is the A5 Midori MD Notebook that is ruled. I really like the paper. I write with a Pilot Kakuno that is inked with Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-guri ink or the Uni Jetstream 1.0 ballpoint pen. I would love any one of the four that you are so generously giving away. Thanks !
I love Galen leather! As of right now my favorite combo is the expansive over with my cosmo lite notebook. (I have the expanse cover in the ocean color. It is gorgeous, my favorite pen/ ink combo is one of my Conklin pens with Damien purple ink. I have been checking out that pen case, and now that the slots are removable, that would be my first choice. That being said, they would all be used, as i love them all.

İf someone wanted to know: the TR paper is the new sanzen one in Galen's recent notebooks. So the give away one will be the new TR paper This is a wonderful give away Michelle! I don't want to be in it as Galen is local to me, and because I have been a fan of their products for years I have almost everything you showed. And anything else that I might want, I'll hopefully get from the İstanbul Penfest tomorrow 🎉 They will be there.. I never thought to put the Moleskine on my elasticated A5 cover and have room securely for a pen on the spine. That is a neat idea. I wasn't really using mine since I prefer the thinner leather covers. As I have just started to look back into Moleskine because of your videos, I don't necessarily think of the expanded when I look at my 'cover' collection. Thank you for the idea 😊 I forgot to add that I just got a moleskine 2025 daily planner and it is the forestry one with 8 squares. The paper is good and I tested it with broad nibbed FPs. Works like a charm 🎉 so you just might be right about cracking the moleskine code! And it is quite probable that the planners were the first ones to change as they come out a specific time in the year and sell faster (and probably easily and more) than a regular notebook. Since we know thanks to you that the 2024 ones were good, I think the 2025 ones will be good as well. But I need to check that to be as sure as we can be. I'll look for Moleskine tomorrow at the Penfest. They usually are there as well

My notebook is currently a Moleskin A5 and I use the TWSBI Eco Caffe Bronze pen with Kaweco Caramel Brown ink; such a dreamy combination. Galen Leather has such beautiful items. Thank you for sharing your review. I have been following you for a while and enjoy your reviews. I am using a PaperTess Designs A5 undated for my planner. I use a Frixion pen in there. I also have an EDC that I use with Field Notes, a Wanderings notebook, a Pen&Gear Daily Passport Notebook, and a Moleskine Volant with a Pen&Gear mini compostion book for notes. Your Pen&Gear reviews turned me on the brand, and I will go hunting my county for the items! I like to use my Kaweco or Platinum Preppy with cartridges in sea moss and blue in my EDC. The A5 zipper case is beautiful and would fit my planner so nicely. I also love the A6 pen holder. Either color would be wonderful.
Right now my fav pen is an Esterbrook Estie, Raven. It’s so amazingly smooth. I enjoy writing while having a coffee or tea. I would love the green ten pen zippered case. Whoever wins will be very happy. Good luck everyone.

What's up Michelle! I love Galen leather myself. My fav product is their 40 pen zippered case. That thing is sturdy and roomy. I have OD'd on their A5 and some B6 Tomoe leather books just in case the good stuff ran out. But I do love their leather stuff. I thought about that A5 folio once so if you roll my name then I'll take it!. As far as notebooks are concerned, I am always using my Hobonichi Hon, but I have this notebook from LeStallion that I love love love. It takes fountain pens and other types of pens. It is 211 pages of 120GSM paper. There is a Table of Contents which I think is making it my fav right now. All my work notes go in there and I can get back to past meetings with ease. Ok pens, I definitely always have my LAMY Safari out, but I have really gotten into the Zebra Sarasa 1.0. I bought a Sarasa Gran for the pen body, then slid my 1.0 in there and that is my other go to. It's always gel and fountain pen for me. And I can't name an ink, I am swimming in ink on my desk Michelle. Pick a color, any color. 😁🤣Thanks for the vid.💜

I’m new to fountain pens and loving the TWSBI ECO and now venturing into diamond 580s. I've always been scared off by the metal teeth of the zippers on Galen Leather cases. They're so big and possibly scritchy! The expanded A5 folio case looks like it would be good, though. :) My favourite paper is the 68gsm TR, so an A5 notebook of that is always preferred. And my favourite pen of the week is a Scribe Pens "Carson XXXI" with a needlepoint nib. With Diamine Vermillion, you can see the haloing around the writing. Yum.
What a fun video! I love Galen as well and have ordered from them before. I previously bought the notebooks that you shared and agree that they have a beautiful packaging and ship pretty quickly. I am using Sterling Ink A5 and have used Hobonichi Cousin A5 as well. I love the slim covers and the expanded A5 and have been eying them and debating getting them myself. I fluctuate in favorite pen depending on the type of paper and what I need it for. I love my fountain pens (Lamy and TWSBI) but also love my Sarasa Dry and WriTech 0.5. ❤

My favorite notebook right now is my lechturnm 1917 hardcover in dot grid, I'm loving my new Tom's studio pocketpen in Mullberry with my first architect nib and it's inked with FWP Aurorealis. I've only tried the TRP notebook from Galen before, yet to fill it up. Midori MD notebooks are my current favourite because they take fountain pen ink very well, I use the noodlers polar black in almost all my pens. Would like any of the four Galen Leather products.

hi first of all this video was amazing this just gave me journal pleasure you know. my newest favorite notebook is A5 pen+gear notebook. i setted up like my everything journal or like commonplace notebook. i also have a peter pauper planner for 2025. i love using dong-a gelstream ballpoint pen with it. i just bought it in black and blue and its enough for me. i would like to have the A5 folio it just so good qualified. i also thought that the cosmo air but i cannot use fountain pens since i am left handed. SO IN CONCLUSION i want this A5 folio😭😭😭. whatever joking aside i love your videos and channel and of course you so much💚💚💖

For 2024 I am using a B6 Wonderland222 and I love it. For 2025 I’m using an a5 Hobonichi because I traveled to Japan in September and wanted to buy my 2025 notebooks while I was there. I have been using Zebra Sarasa pens (mostly) this year. I do own a couple fountain pens but have not really used them much. I have always admired Galen Leather products. I’ve purchased one of their everyday notebooks and their Kaweco exclusive. I use Leuchtturm A5 for my bullet journal and their Some Lines A Day 5 year. This year I also picked up an A6 Hobonichi notebook for an everyday carry and use a passport TR when traveling. I’m mostly a fountain pen person but when a ball point is needed I have 2 Parker Jotters, my black NYC one writes black, my blue one writes blue. I’ve always liked G2 gel pens but recently switched to Bic Gelocity. I have many fountain pen brands but I’m always using at least one TWSBI Eco every day. My Eco T Mint with an EF nib is always loaded with LAMY turquoise. Any of the Galen products would be welcome here. The A5 Folio is my fav but I love that green color. I always enjoy your videos. I have several Galen Leather products and they are excellent quality. I would like either of the everyday notebooks. I am currently loving A5 notebooks, and using a Midori A5 right now. I’ve got several Moleskine and Leuchtturm 1917 notebooks. I’m a huge fan of Tomoe River Paper but love the Moleskine after watching your videos. My current favorite pen is my Pilot Vanishing Point. I've been lurking for a bit - listening to you talk about your journaling, how you collect scraps for your decorations, and your love for Moleskine (and the conspiracy around how to tell the good from bad paper) calms me for some reason 💖 I love decorative journaling too, but your videos are so comforting and remind me it doesn't have to be all about the aesthetic to be meaningful.
My favorite notebook right now is my B5 Cup of the Galaxy Notebook Therapy that I use for daily tracking. Second favorite is my A5 Nami Notebook Therapy notebook 💕 My favorite pen is my Pilot Kakuno. I love Ferris Wheel Press inks, but my go to everyday ink for it is Pilot Iroshizuki in Take-sumi.

It takes me a long time to subscribe, but I finally just did. I love how you share your ideas about not getting hung up on keeping your notebooks pristine. It has helped me relax and use my notebooks more. I’ve also gone back to notebooks I would have thrown away because I already started them and before I would think well it won’t make sense because the last thing I wrote was from a year ago. Your channel helped me just get in there again and enjoy the paper and pens again. It only has to make sense or be fun for me.

You always have a way of tempting me as no one else does! I just rediscovered an old fountain pen, the Visconti Van Gogh that has a fine nib, plunger loads has an opalescent body that is comfortably wide and is embellished with fine silver on the cap and clip. Now my new/old fav! Tried it today using Sailor Nekoyanagi ink which is purplish-brown. Beautiful! And of course taking a page from your book (pun intended) I tried them out in my various planners and journals and gotta say, my Hobonichi Techo Avec takes the prize for the best paper for that writing duo! Having gone through my stash and discovered even more of my “vintage” fountain pens, the 10 pen holder would really make my day or other zippered folio.

Loveeeee Galen Leather. I love my b6 folio (I’m sure that’s the size as I wanted the smaller size). And gosh I haven’t purchased a single GL product I haven’t loved ❤. They are gorgeous to look at. Thrill to unbox. And the quality of the product over the years I’ve used them has been exceptional. I use their (older version) 10 pen case and 5 with a field notebook In it that I use to track the ink in each of my inked fountain pen. Plus other pen cases, rolls etc. loved your Galen Leather collection. Now I am thinking of adding the new 10 pen case to my collection. lol
I am starting my first journal in January. I decided on a Hobonichi A6. You tube has been monumental in educating me on how to get started. Hi! Love your videos. My favorite in use notebook (at the moment) is a Galen trp in A5, my favorite size. Ohhh my fav fountain pen is a Pilot Capless filled with Birmingham Pen Co. Sterling Silver. Don’t forget that Galen also sells pens and inks-including exclusives! I have a purple Kaweco and a blue Narwhal from them that I just love. I really like the design of the folios with the wide elastic. No more struggling to get stiff covers in and out. The new product designs are ingenious! I’ve just started getting into the traveler’s notebook style of journaling. I’m an artist so my favorite “notebook” is actually a mixed media sketchbook by Stillman & Birn Beta Series, softcover edition. The 5.5” x 8.5” sketchbook fits nicely in an A5 sized cover, so I’m really hoping to win the A5 Expansion zip folio! My favorite ink to use is Platinum Carbon ink because it’s waterproof, and I use it often in my sketchbooks.

Well we won't even say how many moleskine notebooks LOL. What I would love from this is to be able to own that A5 folio. I love it so much because it is deeper and my notebooks are usually quite thick along with everything else I cover or carry. As far as pens go, I use the pilot G2 gel pen in broad. However, I don't like the feel necessarily of their pins. So I have found that Waterman rollerball pens take their refills perfectly. So I search different sites to buy used Waterman rollerballs and I have one in each one of my binders. I've been using standard size for the most part. Recently ended up with an A5 folio. However, I've discovered I really need one zips. I like the fact that you show us what you do in your life as well as what we could do. Again, thank you so much for this opportunity. It is awesome.

My favorite pen for daily writing is the Sarasa .05 and .07 in black. I don’t have any fountain pens as they are too expensive for me. Thank you for the opportunity to win an item. I really like the A5 folio cover. I love using my TWSBIIris with divine Imperial Purple. I have the four pen case. It is perfect to carry with me for my journaling.
Right now I’m using a Twsbi… actually several was different colors because I have color-coded journaling. I changed different sizes all the time as far as notebooks and presently I am in a B5 but just a couple months ago I was in an a6. you know how I am, I would love any of the items. The only thing I have from Galen leather is a5 trp. It would be nice to have a leather item, of course, but I’ve made it this far. Anyway, you know how much I adore you and all you do, and all you share and your amazing kindness.

Hi Michelle, That's an impressive "giveaway" you have planned out! I bought several Galen Leather products back in 2019...the original "squishy" A5 zippered folio with the same side as the new one, for the pens, in PURPLE, the PURPLE pencil pouch like you showed, and the PURPLE ZIPPERED travellers size folio, that they had at the time. They were wonderful, though mine have faded , the colour a lot...they are amazingly well made, and so durable...you just can't even break them if you try.
I also discovered Pen and Gear years ago in Walmart, up here near Whitehorse, Yukon Canada, and was amazed how well they took fountain pen ink. My favourite paper is the original Tomoe River...BLANK, AND NOW, THE DISCONTINUED COMOS AIR LIGHT...which really makes your inks shine. I like the A5 size, and B6 size, and Travellers notebook size. My newest fav pen is the Kaweco Apricot Pearl, paired with Kaweco Apricot/Mandarin ink in a double broad nib. I have been using fountain pens since 1967, those Shaeffer ones...which I still have a bunch and they work amazingly, as an eyedropper too...I did all my high school notes from grade 9 - Grade 13 using my Shaeffer fountain pen and their cartidges...loved their turquoise ink back then , and still today. I have always been interested in Galen so thank you for sharing your haul! my fave notebook at the moment is the hobonichi day free, i've been using it to track my language learning - i'm currently learning Tagalog! And my fave pen is the Platinum Preppy - such a simple and classic fountain pen I can always rely on. I'm interested in getting their A5 folio cover, I will be in the Hobonichi Cousin for the first time in the upcoming new year! :)
If you ever want to use shimmer use it in your Twisbi pen. You can disable the pen quite nicely to clean your feed. I only use my Eco for shimmer inks and it’s beautiful

Your chocolate/peanut butter passport set ups have always had my heart but I would love to try the A6 size too. As for pens, I only have one Kaweco fountain pen and I generally use the Paper Mate Felt Tip Flairs medium 0.7mm. I personally always will continue to enjoy your content no matter if I win something or not. Michelle absolutely love this video. Galen leather is an incredible company too and their products are wonderful. I've been loving my black pelikan with Diamine writers blood (perfect for fall 🍂) in either my travelers company memory journal or my moleskine expanded!! The A6 10 pen pouch in green caught my eye - this thicker case is so unique and I love that you said it doesn't feel like your pens are squished!

I've been lurking on your channel for quite some time, but when the whole Moleskine Saga started, I just had to subscribe! Your dedication to figuring out how to spot a unicorn is just my favorite thing ☺ I never thought I would have a Moleskine, cause I was always a loyal Leuchtturm1917 user, but after your videos I just had to get some. Didn't get a unicorn, unfortunately, but maybe some day 😌
RIght now I'm really into Stalogy notebooks, my favorite size is B6. There's just something SO nice and comforting about them for me and even though it's not Tomoe River Paper (which I haven't tried yet), I think it takes my Tombows and fountain pens really well.
When it comes to favorite pens... I don't have that many fountain pens, but I'm really enjoying my Pilot Metropolitan Retro Pop Green and also Kaweco Collection Vibrant Violet. I love me some metal pens! And for the ink, I don't have a favorite combo, but I recently bought Sailor "Seiboku" and fell in love with it!
And for non-fountain pens, I know it's not a very popular answer, maybe not a lot of people even know about this pen, but I LOVE my Ohto Horizon Point Knock with with their 0.5 ballpoint refill (not the gel one, it doesn't have the extra button for retracting the pen). It's also a metal pen, has a smooth needle point writing experience and it lasts forever, because the tip is very thin and it's an oil-based ink. Now, from my understanding this pen is discontinued, unfortunately, they now only have the gel version, which wouldn't work with the ballpoint refill, that I love. But I'm happy that just yesterday I could snag an extra Ohto Horizon pen secondhand for a good price, that's how much I love these pens 😄

I’ve always wanted to try their A5 folio, but I’m a broke student lol. My go to is tomoe river in a traveler’s notebook for personal use and kokuyo campus for class. I like those little mini spiral notebooks from Walmart (tried at your suggestion!) for general notes. My current favorite pen/ink combo is an opus88 mini broad with diamine Jack Frost. But I’ve got about 8 pens inked up an in use at any given time. I like to color code my notes.
I had no idea they changed the designs of the A5 zip cover. That’s amazing! I’ve yet to try their notebooks but I heard they’re amazing 🙌.
My Favorite notebook currently is the Cafenote. My Favorite Pen and Ink is my Pilot Custom 823 with Pilot Iro Tsukushi. I would love the opportunity to win the A5 case or the Pen Case.

My favorite I’m using now is an A5 leather zip case with the Hobonichi Cousin as my favorite paper is the Tamoe River paper with a Platnum Curidas Clear pen with Diamine Oxford Blue ink. What a fantastic video. I bought a wallet insert in Crazy horse brown from Galen Leather earlier this year after watching one of your videos. The leather is so nice and soft. At first, I put it in a passport TN cover, but right now I am using it by itself. My favorite notebook is the A5 Midori MD Notebook that is ruled. I really like the paper. I write with a Pilot Kakuno that is inked with Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-guri ink or the Uni Jetstream 1.0 ballpoint pen. I would love any one of the four that you are so generously giving away. Thanks !
I love Galen leather! As of right now my favorite combo is the expansive over with my cosmo lite notebook. (I have the expanse cover in the ocean color. It is gorgeous, my favorite pen/ ink combo is one of my Conklin pens with Damien purple ink. I have been checking out that pen case, and now that the slots are removable, that would be my first choice. That being said, they would all be used, as i love them all.

I never thought to put the Moleskine on my elasticated A5 cover and have room securely for a pen on the spine. That is a neat idea. I wasn't really using mine since I prefer the thinner leather covers. As I have just started to look back into Moleskine because of your videos, I don't necessarily think of the expanded when I look at my 'cover' collection. Thank you for the idea 😊
I forgot to add that I just got a moleskine 2025 daily planner and it is the forestry one with 8 squares. The paper is good and I tested it with broad nibbed FPs. Works like a charm 🎉 so you just might be right about cracking the moleskine code! And it is quite probable that the planners were the first ones to change as they come out a specific time in the year and sell faster (and probably easily and more) than a regular notebook. Since we know thanks to you that the 2024 ones were good, I think the 2025 ones will be good as well. But I need to check that to be as sure as we can be. I'll look for Moleskine tomorrow at the Penfest. They usually are there as well

I use the hobonichi weeks everyday! Favorite pen is the Twsbi mocha as well….brown ink but I can’t remember the brand 🤪. My notebook is currently a Moleskin A5 and I use the TWSBI Eco Caffe Bronze pen with Kaweco Caramel Brown ink; such a dreamy combination. Galen Leather has such beautiful items. Thank you for sharing your review. I have been following you for a while and enjoy your reviews. I am using a PaperTess Designs A5 undated for my planner. I use a Frixion pen in there. I also have an EDC that I use with Field Notes, a Wanderings notebook, a Pen&Gear Daily Passport Notebook, and a Moleskine Volant with a Pen&Gear mini compostion book for notes. Your Pen&Gear reviews turned me on the brand, and I will go hunting my county for the items! I like to use my Kaweco or Platinum Preppy with cartridges in sea moss and blue in my EDC. The A5 zipper case is beautiful and would fit my planner so nicely. I also love the A6 pen holder. Either color would be wonderful.
Right now my fav pen is an Esterbrook Estie, Raven. It’s so amazingly smooth. I enjoy writing while having a coffee or tea. I would love the green ten pen zippered case. Whoever wins will be very happy. Good luck everyone.

What's up Michelle! I love Galen leather myself. My fav product is their 40 pen zippered case. That thing is sturdy and roomy. I have OD'd on their A5 and some B6 Tomoe leather books just in case the good stuff ran out. But I do love their leather stuff. I thought about that A5 folio once so if you roll my name then I'll take it!. As far as notebooks are concerned, I am always using my Hobonichi Hon, but I have this notebook from LeStallion that I love love love. It takes fountain pens and other types of pens. It is 211 pages of 120GSM paper. There is a Table of Contents which I think is making it my fav right now. All my work notes go in there and I can get back to past meetings with ease. Ok pens, I definitely always have my LAMY Safari out, but I have really gotten into the Zebra Sarasa 1.0. I bought a Sarasa Gran for the pen body, then slid my 1.0 in there and that is my other go to. It's always gel and fountain pen for me. And I can't name an ink, I am swimming in ink on my desk Michelle. Pick a color, any color. 😁🤣Thanks for the vid.💜

I’m new to fountain pens and loving the TWSBI ECO and now venturing into diamond 580s. I've always been scared off by the metal teeth of the zippers on Galen Leather cases. They're so big and possibly scritchy!
The expanded A5 folio case looks like it would be good, though. :)
My favourite paper is the 68gsm TR, so an A5 notebook of that is always preferred. And my favourite pen of the week is a Scribe Pens "Carson XXXI" with a needlepoint nib. With Diamine Vermillion, you can see the haloing around the writing. Yum.

What a fun video! I love Galen as well and have ordered from them before. I previously bought the notebooks that you shared and agree that they have a beautiful packaging and ship pretty quickly. I am using Sterling Ink A5 and have used Hobonichi Cousin A5 as well. I love the slim covers and the expanded A5 and have been eying them and debating getting them myself. I fluctuate in favorite pen depending on the type of paper and what I need it for. I love my fountain pens (Lamy and TWSBI) but also love my Sarasa Dry and WriTech 0.5. ❤

My favorite notebook right now is my lechturnm 1917 hardcover in dot grid, I'm loving my new Tom's studio pocketpen in Mullberry with my first architect nib and it's inked with FWP Aurorealis. I've only tried the TRP notebook from Galen before, yet to fill it up. Midori MD notebooks are my current favourite because they take fountain pen ink very well, I use the noodlers polar black in almost all my pens. Would like any of the four Galen Leather products.

hi first of all this video was amazing this just gave me journal pleasure you know. my newest favorite notebook is A5 pen+gear notebook. i setted up like my everything journal or like commonplace notebook. i also have a peter pauper planner for 2025. i love using dong-a gelstream ballpoint pen with it. i just bought it in black and blue and its enough for me. i would like to have the A5 folio it just so good qualified. i also thought that the cosmo air but i cannot use fountain pens since i am left handed. SO IN CONCLUSION i want this A5 folio😭😭😭. whatever joking aside i love your videos and channel and of course you so much💚💚💖
I’ve been a subscriber for a little while now and have more Molskines than my husband can count.😂 I love your channel and the hunt for the molskines even got my husband involved! For 2024 I am using a B6 Wonderland222 and I love it. For 2025 I’m using an a5 Hobonichi because I traveled to Japan in September and wanted to buy my 2025 notebooks while I was there. I have been using Zebra Sarasa pens (mostly) this year. I do own a couple fountain pens but have not really used them much.
