I am reminded of a line from a film "MONTY! YOU TERRIBLE ****!!!" Keep up the good work. I've just started wild camping/bushcraft and I love your style.
It's the Sawyer mini I have too. I have found a few bottles that it does not fit on though so be careful. nothing worse than finding out it's not going to fit until it's too late. I can't remember if I showed you the cnoc water bag on our camp trip but would recommend getting 1. Love the wee clips of you correcting yourself about sunset and sunrise, nice wee bit of comedy. Great video mate. Hope your well, chat soon.
Nicely done . Simple, straight forward with great scenic views. Your at home editing , spliced in, was unexpected but that added nicely to to the video. Well done Monty.
Nice trip there! I gotta say, though, the Cloud Up 2 is suprisingly sturdy! I've had mine out in winds with ~43 mph gusts without a single doubt. When the guy lines are deployed - the low ones on the sides/back work lovely when pegged out on the same peg as the higher ones - it's like a little bunker. The inner flapped a bit because air comes in under the flysheet, but that's it. But because of the shape, it's recommended to put the back of the tent in the wind direction.
Thank you very much for sharing this information! I've always said NatureHike tents are good up to about 40mph and your advice is spot on with putting the back into the wind. It's a fine little tent which I'm looking forward to using more. Thanks for watching and again thank you for your informative input :)
@@MontyOutdoors You are right on that one! I wouldn't be surprised at all if it handled 50+ mph winds well either, as long as it doesn't hit it from the side. :) I'm sure it will suit you very nicely! I'm actually charmed by it also since it feels kinda like a classic A-frame ridge tent when being inside it or seeing it from behind/front. And no worries, my man, you're doing great content as usual! :)
Just be wary with the Sawyer in cold conditions. If it freezes, it damages the filaments inside the Sawyer meaning it will no longer be safe to use. I personally put mine in a little carry bag and sleep with it inside my sleeping bag in frosty conditions, just to ensure it doesn't freeze.
I sleep with my Sawyer in my sleeping bag :) But thanks for sharing, as hopefully others will see this also. Hopefully I'll remember to pass this info off in a future video!
I left this one until I had the time to properly sit down and watch it. Absolutely class. I laughed my ass off at the sunset/ sunrise 😀 I have started to bring a second lighter sleeping bag that I can use as a quilt if I get cold during the night, might help you too. All the best 👍
Glad you enjoyed it mate, thanks :D And for next winter I plan on investing in a rab bag, thermal blanket, and intend on bringing a hot water bottle! All the best mate and thanks again.
