I would like to thank Perry, we were all strung out on H and making music in the 80s and now as senior citizens we see Perry still acting out and we remember what a fantastic decision stopping using was. I hope he gets to experience it eventually because when you listen to him he sounds the same as the 80s, he hasnt moved.

Nicely summarised. I saw Jane's in London for the anniversary of Ritual de lo Habitual and they were awesome. At the end there were models swinging around from the ceiling with meathooks in their backs. Which was nice.
I never could get into this band. I think I was just a little too young, and I just missed them. I remember P0rno for Pyros better but I wasn’t a fan of them either. Navarro is a solid musician, but yeah…Perry just seems like that kinda guy. 🤷♂️

In those years I was just a little too young still to really get it, they were definitely “alternative” compared to a lot of what was popular, at least in the mainstream, around that time, and I do appreciate that. By the time I went back and listened to Jane’s Addiction and P for P was around, the studio records didn’t do much for me, and the stuff that was coming out in 94-95 just got my attention much more. I honestly don’t even mean my comment to trash them, they were certainly an important band, they just never clicked

He ended up giving it to me and the rest is history. I think I was like 15 or 16 at the time. I fell in love with them from the get. I just wasn’t big on Perry because I thought he was one of the major reasons the band broke up. He was the main reason the band could never get back together because he would tell the rest of the band like Dave and Eric that they could not jam or play together without Perry being there. Complete control freak.
The way Perry was said to be acting reminded me of the British film, Still Crazy. A film about aging rockstars getting the band back together. One scene in particular where Bill Nighy sees himself on stage as the cool young artist but in reality it was comical and sad.

Their stage show was remarkable, trapeze artists, huge energy and massive production, the band sounded incredible too. After forgetting the words to EVERY SONG Perry went on a drunken tirade that was incoherent, vaguely anti-Obama and just rambling angrily. The whole band is looking at him and just about the entire crowd is funneling out, myself included. Didn’t even catch the end of the set, it was a massive disappointment
