I saw Johnney at the Benaten Pgh pa. Just fabulous. I still get chills when I hear him sing. Sure brings back a lot of memories. Glad to grow up during this period ❤
I always liked his sound growing up and have now developed a deep crush on him and his memory. Better late than never. Superb talent never ages. He kept his good looks all those years, too. I don't mind feeling like a ditzy teeny bopper again...at 65!
Johnny never got too big to play anywhere, he was a true performer. Together with his loyal band, and his great voice, he made some of the best music ever recorded. May he RIP.
It makes me sad, things were so wonderful in those days. we didn't realize how wonderful we had it. That was one of my favorite songs. Thanks of the reminder. The lyrics were filled with sincere love and appreciation.
Rest in peace Johnny, you are missed, you had one of the best lead voices ever. We still have these videos and your CDs to remmember you by. Our Lord needed another beautiful voice in his Heavenly Choir. Johnny Maestro, God Bless.
The One and Only Johnny Maestro Voice of Gold & Lungs Strong as a "Titanium Balloon".. thats whats going. down....hope to introduce myself when I SEE YOU again...such a inspiration
this man was amazing.no matter what song he sang,he gave you a chill up your spine.his voice was directly out of heaven.best rock and roll voice of all time..hands down..rest in peace john..i'm sure God will make you lead singer of the angelic choir.
Saw Johnny in a free concert in the park of my home town over in Jersey,a couple of years before he passed. He hadn't missed a beat! he was just as strong and true as he was when he recorded it!! I was so so happy I made it.Guys like him only come along now and then! RIP Johnny,if you only knew how much you're missed.Thank heavens for things like You Tube where we can still hear and see him. Respectfully, Gregory L. Mitchell-West Caldwell,N.J.
johnny was 'the maestro' of all singers. his beautiful voice was like velvet. thank you johnny for all the music you gave to the world. we will forever love you.you are home now, with the angels. I'm crying. r.i.p.johnny.
WOW This guy's voice did not change one iota from the time he started in the business to the very end! I've never ever seen that in anyone - every song I see him sing is not a disappointment. How did he do that? And he always looked so great! I remember seeing him once on PBS and I was thinking huh? This guy looks too young to have been singing back then. But there is no mistaking his golden vocals! Never will there be a talent such as his!
Just a great voice and a very gracious kind man. His bandmates loved him. I saw an interview with Jimmy Webb who wrote this and many many other songs. He said that Johnny was the kindest most good hearted person he ever met.
The purpose of life is to find your gift, the meaning of life is to give it away. Johnny Maestro blessed us with his God given gift- his incrediblel voice .
He wasn't dazed or confused. It was him, and he shoud not have paid attention to the idiots on either side of him. He was blasting. He was the real talent.
I like watching Lou and listening for his licks. There is so much happening musically in this song, it's easy to overlook that perfectly constant percussion influence, but without it this would be so flat! Watch the dancing people up near the front - totally different responses to the beat, but mostly right there with it in their individual ways.
Gee. I wonder where Carol S. Is today? Everytime i sing..... Listen to Johnny. I think of the one I sholud have Married.. But i never never every got married. ,carol S in milw wis.. Hello my 💘
that was surprisingly good...it's really disappointing when i hear a band do a song live and it's NOwhere near as good as the recording...not this one...spot on...and well worth having been recorded... thanks...
I simply cannot understand how they inducted Chubby Checker into the hall of fame Who’s claim to stardom was his only hit song to do with a dance called the Twist B-4 Johnny Maestro??
