VCS3 Radiophonic Style Sounds

I thought today I would just have a play with the VCS looking more for sounds and textures than anythng tuneful or drone like. Its been a while since I made the VCS3 and its due for a bit of a service I think. I also need to 3d print more caps for the pins so I can go even more crazy on the pin matrix :D

Too right! the way everything you do interacts with everything else even down to the way the oscillators cross modulate when you go past 1/2 way on the levels . We need more modern synths with inbuilt madness :D

It's a shame most of the old guard of the workshop disliked this lovely machine. If they wanted to use samples too they could bring it next to a tape deck (or vice versa if the tape deck is light enough) and run its output through this. They didn't even have to record everything into a single tape, they could do overdubs. Recording multiple layers of sound onto different reels of tape and then mixing them was what they did all the time wasn't it?

Its very possible.. everything is just voltage after all but sometimes its better not to have a tune and just let the thing do what you can do with the controls provided :D
