Welcome to Universe Mode! You may be wondering what Universe Mode is, and if you've ever played the WWE games, it's the same concept. It's also called by some as Promoter Mode/Be A Promoter.
It's a live streamed series I run on my UA-cam channel, using UFC Undisputed Forever and the event mode to run cards. The streams will be posted in the ⁠mod-social-notifications channel of the Undisputed Forever Discord server when they go live.
In Universe Mode, an initial run of seven Grand Prix, one for each division, determine the divisional champions.
A set of top 15 rankings for each weight class are created according to the tournament results. Fighter records, which begin at 0-0, will be tracked and updated after each event.
From there, numbered events and Fight Night cards, with the occasional RIZIN card, occur every Sunday at 9 PM UK time, 4 PM Eastern Daylight Time, 1 PM Pacific Daylight Time.
Fights are booked based on proximity in the rankings, how long ago they fought. Generally, for any given fighter, there will be 3-4 in-universe months between two fights.
There are 24 cards in a Universe Mode year - one PPV card and one Fight Night card per universe month.
Fighters may go back and forth on social media, as seen in ⁠um-media. News articles will also be published documenting news in the UM sphere, or the results of a recent main event.
As fighters become more experienced, adding to their record, which begins at 0-0, stories develop, and this adds a layer of immersion to the "world", as it goes from an "just" an event mode card to one where a veteran is on their last shot at the title, going at it against a rival they've battled twice before.
Can they take the belt and retire atop the mountain, or will the champion close the book on the fairy-tale ending?
New fighters will also enter the fray over time, with the most seasoned fighters eventually aging out, or after a rough streak, deciding to hang up the gloves.
Should there be any late changes to a card, it'll be announced in the um-announcements channel.
