I like the Muslim Lantern and have watched many of his videos, but he made a few false claims here. These terms are generally in opposition to systems of religious belief. There is, however, a standard definition: "Agnostic atheists are atheistic because they do not hold a belief in the existence of any deity and are agnostic because they claim that the existence of a divine entity or entities is either unknowable in principle or currently unknown in fact."
@@joerdim Being one of them and having just seen some of your other comment interactions, I'll take that as a compliment. Mark Claiming prophet Mohammed take knowledge from everybody, an Muslim lantern said you will be seeing wrong in the whole Quran. And later on Mark doing the same about embryologie and you see him making wrong assumptions. 😂
Since Mark has not posted information on Galenic embryology in the comments as he said he will i did some research and this is what i found. Here is Galenic Embryology vs Quranic Embryology side-by-side. (Galen von Pergamon died in the year 199.) The source of the information on galenic embryology is the collection of Galens works called “Galeni de Semine” which was originally in Greek. It was later translated into Syriac by Sergios von Resh Aina, who died in 532 in Konstantinopel, almost a century before Muhammed was born. Syrian was a main language in the Middle East, similar to English today. Here are the embryonic steps by Galen and the Quran side-by-side 1. The first is that in which, as is seen both in abortions and in dissection, *the form of the semen prevails*. Quran (Yusuf Ali translation from Quran dot com): Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); Then We placed him *as (a drop of) sperm* in a place of rest, firmly fixed 2. . But when it has been *filled with blood* , and heart, brain and liver are still *unarticulated and unshaped* yet have by now a certain solidarity and considerable size, this is the second period; the substance of the foetus has the *form of flesh* and no longer the form of semen Quran (Yusuf Ali translation): “Then We made the sperm into a *clot of congealed blood* ; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump” 3. The third period follows on this, when, as was said, it is possible to see the three ruling parts clearly and a kind of *outline, a silhouette* , as it were, of all the other parts. You will see the conformation of the three ruling parts more clearly, that of the parts of the stomach more dimly, and much more still, that of the *limbs*. Quran (Yusuf Ali translation): “then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh”…..(I never heard of such a stage in modern embryology) 4. The fourth and final period is at the stage when all the parts in the limbs have been differentiated; and at this part Hippocrates the marvellous no longer calls the foetus an embryo only, but already a child, too, when he says that it jerks and moves as an animal now fully formed.” Quran (Yusuf Ali translation): “ then we developed out of it another creature” I think Mark was correct. They are similar, and The Muslim Lantern claimed that Galen believed that the embryo came from menstrual blood, but this does not seem to be accurate. Galen was a proponent of he two-seed theory, and believed that females ejaculated a type of sperm from the ovaries. He differed with Aristotle on this point
Assalam o alaikum in this session you mentioned about abayrd belief of hindu of a bull with horns holding the earth... . same sort of claim is present in a hadeeth... Around 2:00 - “worship cow and the religion is earlier than Islaam” - WRONG. Prophet Adam the FIRST of mankind worshipped and SUBMITTED to the One True God. SUBMIT, SURRENDER, OBEDIENCE, SINCERELY (to attain) PEACE, one word in Arabic is ISLAAM.
Inshallah Mark will watch this video back and see that he did not listen. Alhamdulillah Islam will help you reflect and guide you to contemplate new information before jumping to new questions. This is another reason why knowledgeable Muslims will tackle the premise of disputes instead of the small nick picky arguments
Are we watching the same video? He listened and did not interrupt. He asked questions relevant to the discussion and in the end The Muslim Lantern even acknowledged his good manners and thanked him for this.
It is Allah who erected the heavens without pillars that you [can] see; then He established Himself above the Throne and made subject the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. He also was wrong in stating that there was no relationship between what galen wrote on embryology and what is in the quran. I have the original text from galen and it looks quite similar to the quran. Before i started watching this clip, i was a chrsitian with doubts about the veracity of christianity and i started looking at islam with interest. Now within the last 4 days, I have come to the realization that humans created these gods. Now i am agnostic
I alsi did not know what an agnostic atheist was, but i have found out that it is a real philosophical position held even by great minds like Dr. Bart Ehrmann. Do some research on it
Actually, this ayat in Quran about clothing bones with flesh is my favorite scientific, so to say, argument from Quran. It's because many people are trying to attack Islam on this ayat, but they themselves don't know how to do research. Actual scientific data tells us that bones are indeed formed prior to muscles. It's so profound, how could Prophet Muhammad, Alaymin as-Salatu was-Salam, know this? It's impossible without Allah's help, and it is indeed Allah's speech!
Indeed I am coming to know this. To write a fact in its simplest form and yet remain perfectly accurate is so difficult for any human. I can't see any human coming up with anything written better than this. It makes me wonder and want to know more.

Atheist will challenge you. when you respond to his argument. He will say “anyway” and try to find another argument. He want to find a single fallacy and do not care about the truth
Moon came down to the Earth and two sides of the Mountain .... Is it True ?
Is there any witness evidence other than Muslims to claim this event ?
The Muslim Lantern spoke for almost 10 minutes non-stop giving proofs of islam. Mark could not address all of those points, and i think that is why he said "anyway " and decided to address one single proof
Man will be questioned in his grave and his response will be "anyways."
He's polite and well mannered at least 👍🏾
At least this guy showed some humility.. May Allah guide him
Very great discussion. Brother Mohammed is amazing on catching every single point and have a meaning answer for it. Mashallah
This is a true gentlemen discussion. Cheers!
I´m glad more people appreciate a civil discussion like i do. Too much negativity on the internet. This was indeed a breadth of fresh air. Very civil, non-disruptive and mutually respecful

@TheMuslimLantern - You are the best! Hands down. May Allah bless you with the best always.
Allahuma barik brother Muhammed, you caught onto the weak arguments in a manner I didn't even think about.
I like the Muslim Lantern and have watched many of his videos, but he made a few false claims here. First by misrepresenting the results of the studies on innate belief in God as Mark rightly suggested, but also by claiming that Galenic embryology and Quranic embryology have nothing in common. They do.
I was truly thinking of converting to islam, but this discussion has made me realize that i know too little of islam and need to do more research. Some of the answers The Muslim Lantern gave here were really not convincing. I have posted a detailed breakdown of the discussion above
@westmirrow3486 an honest person only needs one proof. A person of desire will not believe even if given thousands.
@@Abdur-Rahman862 In other words, what you are saying is that if a person is unconvinced about a proof for islam e.g. embryology, the only possible reason is that they are dishonest?

Barakallah Brother Muhammed thanks for uploading a new video.
Ur so patience, this man need second or third explanations to understand a thing
It is not pathetic to need things explained a few times... instead of being negative towards someone, say alhamdulilah that the Truth came so easily to you. It may be that he will be greatly rewarded for continue to seek and struggle, Allah knows and we do not. It is very poor manners to abuse those who came with good manners.
Mashallah always to the point.... Love u for shake of Allah.. May Allah increase you and all muslims in knowledge

My brain lagging when he say Agnostic Atheist😅
It's like saying 1+1=7
Just like 3 in 1 god
Just a clumsy way to say "I don't believe in God as you describe it."
@@joerdim I surmised the meaning based on the individual terms: Atheist, not holding a theistic belief, and agnostic, not believing that knowledge of a god has been revealed or can be known.
That said, it is unfortunate that the exchanges on this subject are more like those of contentious sports fans than they are a beneficial volleying of ideas and information between naturally competitive sides.
Here are the embryonic steps by Galen and the Quran side-by-side
1. The first is that in which, as is seen both in abortions and in dissection, *the form of the semen prevails*.
Quran (Yusuf Ali translation from Quran dot com): Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); Then We placed him *as (a drop of) sperm* in a place of rest, firmly fixed
2. . But when it has been *filled with blood* , and heart, brain and liver are still *unarticulated and unshaped* yet have by now a certain solidarity and considerable size, this is the second period; the substance of the foetus has the *form of flesh* and no longer the form of semen
Quran (Yusuf Ali translation): “Then We made the sperm into a *clot of congealed blood* ; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump”
Quran (Yusuf Ali translation): “then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh”…..(I never heard of such a stage in modern embryology)
4. The fourth and final period is at the stage when all the parts in the limbs have been differentiated; and at this part Hippocrates the marvellous no longer calls the foetus an embryo only, but already a child, too, when he says that it jerks and moves as an animal now fully formed.”
Quran (Yusuf Ali translation): “ then we developed out of it another creature”
I think Mark was correct.

SUBMIT, SURRENDER, OBEDIENCE, SINCERELY (to attain) PEACE, one word in Arabic is ISLAAM.

Alhamdulillah Islam will help you reflect and guide you to contemplate new information before jumping to new questions. This is another reason why knowledgeable Muslims will tackle the premise of disputes instead of the small nick picky arguments
Alhamdulillah. Guidance comes from Allah swt

The brain gymnastics is hard 😮
From which side?
@@westmirrow3486 ofc not Muhammed Ali. He is always really clear on what’s he is stating.
@@rositasonaninunone3347 I don´t think the Muslim Lantern was accurate in many things he said. But i have realised that people watch these videos with much confirmation bias and little objectivity. Muhammed Ali did misrepresent the results of the Barret study. This is a fact. I have checked the studies he quoted after wcthing the video.
So proud to be an agnostic but an atheist so he is not sure but sure he doesn't believe in a god, how unsure can one person be.
I alsi did not know what an agnostic atheist was, but i have found out that it is a real philosophical position held even by great minds like Dr. Bart Ehrmann. Do some research on it
watching from Solok, Indonesia
Akhi you are the best keep going !!

@@suspectingislam what ? no .
"SubhanAllah" is an Arabic phrase that translates to Glory be to God
and "Alhamdulillah" is an Arabic phrase meaning "praise be to God"
and "Allahu akbar" is an Arabic phrase, called Takbir, meaning "God is greater" or "God is [the] greatest"
and the '' 33x '' means repeating it 33 times and the same to (34x)
