It's not fun, I have been doing youtube for 7 years and just recently found just how mentally challenging and energy draining it is to actually make videos that will succeed...I'm in contact with bigger youtubers (we're talking over 100k+ subs) and all of them can confirm just how much time daily it takes them to come up with an idea, make a thumbnail, actually create the video (usually this involves making a script or storyboard/screenplay) and then edit all of it. And then spending 10-50+ hours on hours on a video and then just see it flop is really disappointing. I really recommend just go to a university or study marketing, create a new company with an innovative idea and you'll do more good in the world than being an youtuber. I'm currently in a graduate year of highschool and I have wasted my teenage years making stupid videos instead of actually hanging out outside with friends just for it to lead nowhere. I'm planning to give it a try until summer before I go to any Uni and if it fails then I'm f*ked.
