    5. Larynx: The larynx, commonly referred to as the voice box, contains the vocal cords and is responsible for producing sound and protecting the lower respiratory tract.
    6. Epiglottis: The epiglottis is a flap of tissue that closes over the larynx during swallowing to prevent food and liquids from entering the airway.
