    Thank you very much for your kind effort.
    I have 3 holes steaming nozzle, I could not make the milk gets velvety snd foamy, I tried tens of times but unfortunately no use🤕 when I pour the milk after steaming to my espresso it goes down and not floating. I decided finally to change the 3 holes nozzle to one hole nozzle, hopefully it works.
    Best regards

    Thankyou I found your video very good and easy to understand. I have struggled a little but feel more confident now! Ours does not have the Americano dial as we are in Australia 🇦🇺 how ever all the other components are the same! I will also get the extra wand for a better puk.

    what i found usefull i pre fill 18 gramm containers since we drink about 2-4 coffes a day. i singledose the grinder (thats also nicer for cleaning) and then i do tamp myself because i like to sometimes wdt or level. With 18 grams the presetting of the delonghi is quite nice.

    • @craftcoffeespot
      @craftcoffeespot  7 місяців тому +1

      Great suggestion! Secret: I single dose with every grinder, including Delonghi, Breville, and Baratza. I don’t talk about it here, bc most people don’t like that work, but it’s more accurate and coffee is fresher!!

    If you turn the "Dose" dial to the portafilter picture all the way to the left , the Presitgio won't grind, allowing you to tamp without more dosing, read your manual. In addition, I have a significantly different experience with my 9355. My crema, and brew time are different than yours.

    • @danielclv97
      @danielclv97 2 місяці тому +1

      or you can just lift the tamping lever a little bit, it will only grind when the tamping lever is all the way to the back and hits a button

    • @kieranhooper4227
      @kieranhooper4227 20 днів тому

      And then you have to try and get your dose dial back exactly where it was before, so not practical.

    "It does 60-70ml" - the reviewer seems to have missed the "x2" button which is used for toggling between double and single shot. The flow sensor seems quite accurate in my experience, it does not vary that much.

    • @craftcoffeespot
      @craftcoffeespot  7 місяців тому

      I didn’t say it doesn’t vary, it just dispenses a high ratio. I used the double basket which holds 18g and 2x shot dispenses a long shot. May have to use double basket and 1x shot - I should’ve tried that. Either way, it can be modified and remedied with a scale.

    What happens if you adjust the grind setting without it grinding? For example, if it was on 5, moved to 3 and then grind. What happens? If nothing, how do you then ensure what grind setting you’re on and how to adjust it properly?

    • @craftcoffeespot
      @craftcoffeespot  19 днів тому

      The grind size will change whether it's active or not, so there is less risk of clogging when it's active.

      Not really, at least not to start. You can read about puck screens on my other video on Breville accessories (applies to DeLonghi as well).

  • @rivashnaidoo6267
    @rivashnaidoo6267 3 місяці тому

    You should only change your grind size while grinding, otherwise it won't adjust. That explains your inconsistent times

    • @kieranhooper4227
      @kieranhooper4227 20 днів тому

      It definitely adjusts if you move it without grinding.

    Slightly annoyed that our unit doesn't really tamp well. Just messy and the tamper is tiny compared to the portafilter. Making a wall of coffee grounds around the portafilter basket.
    Yours seemed fine.

    • @craftcoffeespot
      @craftcoffeespot  10 місяців тому

      I haven't had issues - the DeLonghi tamps more evenly than the Breville, IMO.
      I am starting to recommend the Arte model now, because it includes a dosing funnel and the tamper is really nice (using it for the Dedica). It's the same work as the Presitgio and much cheaper.

      @kfdizzy08 9 місяців тому +1

      i have found after you tamp, that if you leave the tamp level pulled forward it leaves the rim of the portafilter clean and free of grounds when you remove it.

    • @craftcoffeespot

      Nozzle placement is key. Put the nozzle off to one side and keep it just under the surface. It takes practice. Emilee Bryant has great tutorials on YT.

    can u share what’s the best ratio for ground coffee and duration for espresso extraction? also, is it normal to have wet pucks? we have the same espresso machine

    • @craftcoffeespot
      @craftcoffeespot  7 місяців тому

      Aim for a 1:2 ratio of coffee to espresso and a 25-35 second shot is best, but I would focus on ratio first and time second (adjust to taste). Don’t worry about wet pucks, adjust to taste.

    I noticed on the 3rd dose the pressure gauge maxed out. Do you take much notice of the pressure?

    • @craftcoffeespot
      @craftcoffeespot  10 місяців тому

      Yes, pressure gauge and time are good indicators. That third shot the pressure was too high…theDeLonghi nearly had an auto shutoff. In general, think high pressure = grind too fine, or too much coffee in the basket.

    • @craftcoffeespot

  • @josuerodriguez8231
    @josuerodriguez8231 9 місяців тому +1

    Dam both 2 and 3 espresso pressure is really high. So you don't consider to target the optimal pressure zone. Too much focus on the weight and nothing on pressure

    • @craftcoffeespot
      @craftcoffeespot  9 місяців тому

      Yes, I should've talked more about the pressure gauge here. But, I focused on time and taste over pressure. If it's taking >30 seconds, it's high pressure. I also should've brewed a shot with the new portafilter. Pretty dramatic how far pressure drops with a new basket. Tastes way better too.

    • @craftcoffeespot
      @craftcoffeespot  9 місяців тому

      The bigger issue is even when the second shot had the pressure gauge above the middle, it still tasted under-extracted. So I ground finer and it pushed the pressure gauge to the brink but didn't taste much different. You really need a new 51mm basket with this one and then the pressure gauge becomes so much more relevant.
      My fault on not making this more clear.
