- Anna Murphy is a Swiss musician who has played in many bands and has performed as a solo artist. She spoke to Ben about leaving the folk metal band Eluveitie and went into more detail about the other projects she is working on, such as her upcoming Australian shows. She also answers the burning question, of what on earth is a hurdy-gurdy?

Hi, I wish you all good for first time! Sencond time i want speak about cake. If you bake cake from 8 ingrediences it tastes perfect. If you miss one it is not like before. If you use just one or two ingredience together it is still not good because the original recepy was just accidentally PERFECT. Cooker and eaters will be not happy in future, because each ingridience is good but witch special recepy is just PERFECT! Have a good life.

But Nightwish has already the most versatile and powerful female vocalist on earth.
Tell me how any band should deal with a dismissal the correct way, seriously. The way Nightwish did it long ago and how Xandria recently dealt with it are of course incorrect in both cases. But in this case, what's wrong? Firstly, Eluveitie didn't just write an email or letter out of blue, they told what's up. What should have they done? Giving Merlin warnings in each and every month whatsoever that if he will continue this or this kind of behavior then hmmm he'll be kicked from the band?! Then Anna would say how cruel they were about giving threats... there will always be some excuse to defend themselves. Secondly, no dismissal happened without reason in history, even if it's a cunt move, there's always a background that allowed this to happen.
Merlin had to be out of the band's vibe, they didn't like it so made a decision. Could you work with someone who doesn't like what he/she's doing or who you can't get along with? Well I couldn't, so I understand their decision. Since Ivo and Anna are best friends with him, they've gone after him. And of course they will preach what those evil Elu guys did and how unfair it was, to defend their friend, that's how people work.
