We bought the Denali V6 with 6 pax seating. It's a perfect sized vehicle for my family. Am amazed at the fuel mileage, got 29+ MPG real world, on-board computer showed 31.x over a 125 mile road trip with 4 adults and some stuff. And it's barley broken in at 1200 miles. Rick solid and a blast to drive. CAUTION: you can overpower the front wheels with the throttle. TIP: prefer the Towing Mode and it's transmission tuning.
This car is so much better then the old one in every way possible! But, due to the downsizing this car has been selling less, and one of the main reasons why it sold so well, was due to the large size without going to a minivan. Not everyone has 50K to spend on a Yukon to get that large of a size, where the Acadia was only 32K. Now, you can still get the large size on the Acadia, but its the 1st gen, which is super outdated. So in all, if the Acadia was as big as the 1st gen, but with the updated parts on the 2nd gen, it would be one of the best selling cars, and i can almost bet that. Great car, but GMC messed up making it smaller.
I think the reason GM downsized the Acadia was market trends. Automakers pay ridiculously close attention to and gather feedback from customers. In this case, the market told them buyers wanted something a bit smaller, though higher quality.
Want to upgrade my Envoy & thought this was it but it's not! Smaller overall in size than my Envoy which is perfect in versatility & size! Not rear wheel drive either.Like the look but they should've kept the bigger size which was the originals strong point. Guess I'll keep looking for a replacement for the Envoy? Maybe the Traverse which I think is bigger or Land Rover Discovery? Scratch that Discovery too expensive & has reliability issues for such an expensive vehicle.
Man, Relax, you have to remind yourself that this compete from a different segment. Cadillax XT5 compete with the Lexus RX350 that's it's main competition. Arcadia competes with the Highlander, Pilot, CX9
Good review...however, in the future, be more critical of a car...no car is perfect and this car is far from being perfect...quite obviously the panels in the dash don't fit well....this has been mentioned in pretty much every other review of this car...and is obvious when you test drive it...so, highlight the fault more clearly...good review on the whole though...
Gm's materials are usually very durable. Especially when you consider this vehicle is going to be used to haul kids around. I've seen BMWs with the "soft touch" plastics. After a few years, the soft coating on the plastic starts to peel off and it looks pretty bad. My Enclave's plastics, after 9 years, still look new.
A piece of jewelry! What? How much did you receive to be so much enthusiastic. Look closely at the finition. Space between pieces, fenders, etc. Please calm down and show more objectivity.

7 seats is only standard on base model, option every other trim level. there is also a 2 row, 5 seat "All-Terrain" model as well
Yes, in fact I'm trying to get the All-Terrain model for a future review. Funny you mention it.

Not walking out good though
Ew.i. hate the downsizing. Many people here in Michigan complain of the smaller size.
it was the only "good" big car for 30K...not anyone has 50K
I'm out shopping for one now, $7K to $10K off MSRP makes it a great deal.

Could have sworn this is the 3rd gen.
Ok so I'm not the only one who thought that.
Bosé?
made too small compared to the 2016 denali. hear in 2024 going back to origiinal size
Bose lol .
Nope sweetie, the Cadillac XT5 is a much better luxury SUV than this car, it's a " Cadillac " !!! ;)
looks my dodge!
