Car Confections, I think this generation of the Acadia is much better than the previous generation because the last generation was getting really outdated.
But Car Confections, if Denali models of the Acadia have real wood trim, then do you think the Acadia Denali competes with luxury entries than the mass market entries?
A loaded Acadia Denali has a price of around $50,000, so yes, the Denali *could* compete with three-row luxury SUV's even though they would be more expensive if similarly equipped (probably closer to $60,000).
The XT5 is the luxury competing trim.

Only one specific question (at this time); what is the overall length of the back area with the seats folded down? I carry a lot of photography gear with stands and backdrops. Cubic feet is less important to me than full overall length. Other than that; it was a very good overview.
Great review on all the models - something I was looking for some time. Just two small improvements needed: 1) monotone 2) take real life photo's of different models. Sometimes, the car companies websites do not have the real base model pictures exterior/interior.
You'd think with the amount of money they're asking for the SLT models, GMC would at least get rid of that tacky, rough plastic body cladding. Instead they chose to stick with it and try to push it to the consumers.
Heck, at least offer a way of getting rid of it on the SLT-2 trim even if you have to offer it as an option! Come on GM!

Car Confections Do you recommend there 4-Cylinder engine or no? I don't recommend it.
We definitely wouldn't recommend buying a 4-cylinder engine in the Acadia or any of the competition... It's just too big of a car for that little amount of power! Plus they tend to not improve fuel economy significantly, so it's a lose-lose in our books. Price is the only factor worth looking at!

Is there any online resource which gives details about the AWD system in non-AllTerrain trim levels? Most of the online resources talk about twin-clutch AWD system of all-terrain. How does AWD in 2017 Acadia Denali compare to SH-AWD or Quattro ?
+koolkan86 To be honest we had the same issue when we were researching and learning about the Acadia. That's why I really didn't cover regular AWD in the video because GMC themselves don't talk about it. Sorry!
I see. From various forums I have heard 2017 Acadia uses AWD system developed by GKN Driveline. Not sure if GMC has any contact to reach out to them to get official documentation of AWD system.
Do you guys know if :
1) 2017 Acadia Denali trim has "Continuously Damping Control" suspensions standard or they are optional? Looking at this media release link it seems they are standard (Link : media.gmc.com/media/us/en/gmc/home.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2016/Jan/naias/gmc/0112-acadia.html , section "Chassis and Suspension" .
2) The V6 LGX engine of Acadia has throttle control of type Drive-by-wire / Electronic type? Or its a conventional type. gmauthority page of LGX engine doesn't say anything about it.
How would the 4 cylinder version hold up on long road trips

Does sle trim offer blind spot?
quick question, how does the auto stop work function work on thia vehicle, is there anyway to turn it on and off?
+Miguel323527 engine stop-start allows the vehicle to conserve fuel by automatically shutting off the engine when the car comes to a stop (such as at stoplights or while in park). When you take your foot off the brake, the engine automatically restarts. There is a button to turn off the system, though I don't remember it's location.
Auto start/stop works when you have the vehicle at a stoplight, then the engine will shut off to save some fuel, then when you lift your foot off the brake, then the engine will restart. Some people think that it's a little gimmicky to use at times, but if you want, you can turn it off, and not be distracted.

Matthew's Car Corner sounds easy but i looked all over my 17' SLE Acadia and it doesn't have anything with a auto off button just the HUD

Hi, I'm in the market to buy a new car and one of my favorite choices is the new Acadia. Since this car will be for my wife to use as a daily driver, I was looking into the 4 cylinder engine. I've noticed a couple of comments advising not to get the V4 variation. I mainly wanted to buy it due to its fuel economy. Can you tell me why it isn't a good choice? As in reliability and or how it drives? We don't tow so the towing capabilities are out of the question. Thanks.
It's all a matter of personal preference. GMC makes the 4-cylinder for a certain type of buyer (and since you don't need towing, that might be you). While we've never driven a 4-cylinder Acadia, we suspect it will feel a little weak on power, especially considering this vehicle's mass. And also from a numbers standpoint, the fuel economy isn't all that different from the 3.6L (due to several different technologies, like cylinder deactivation).
Summed up, it has nothing to do with reliability or how it drives. My suggestion would be to drive a 4-cylinder and V-6 Acadia to see if the power difference is worth it for you. And honestly, you couldn't really go wrong with either one! Hope that helps!

I just borrowed a 2017 GMC Acadia SLT-1 from my local GMC dealer for a 24 hour test drive. I returned it two and a half hours later. I'm 6'4" 260 lbs and drove about just over 30 minutes from the dealer and I felt uncomfortable and my legs started to get a little numb. After getting to my destination the driver's seat felt like there's a bar in the seat that you sit directly on with soft parts in front and behind that bar. I can't drive this SUV for very long if I owned it. My passenger in the front had the same problem. There was no one in the back. I can't buy this vehicle with this kind of problem.
