One of General Motors most underrated cars sad how holden went out I will never get rid of my 2015 Chevy SS!
Worked in an Aussie GmH dealer when these were new, they were the ducks guts, I’ve owned a VN SS, VH SS, Cv8 Monaro[the Us Pontiac coupe) HSV Grange and a HSV VE Senator Signature, Great to see this kid enjoying our Holden’s
I'm a Ford guy but I've always liked the VE Senators, especially in Phantom Black

One of the best sleepers of the 21st Century. It looks like a Malibu but those who know, know. The green is fantastic. Glad it was saved and not scrapped. Kyle worked hard and made his dream happen.

It’s vaguely similar to a Malibu in that they’re both similarly sized Chevrolet sedans. However, the SS definitely has a much more elegant stance.

Hard work and a never give up attitude are admirable qualities for a young person to have. Also you don't have control to who or what you're born into. But sometimes hearing a young person who is born on 3rd or even 2nd base tell you just work hard and you can achieve your goals can come across as patronizing. His version of broke may be the same as the next guy, but having someone who can front $25k+ $10k that won't break your legs when you don't pay them back in time, is a lot different than most people have access to.
You get it! I mentioned I borrowed, and of course left the part out about paying back. Most people will only judge off of this video, but not your actual story - comments like these I love to see 🤘🏻

Good story, but the end made me laugh. When he said, "All it takes is a careless Fedex driver, a little hard work, and you can own your dream car.".... "A little hard work" should have been "your parents to spot you the cash." Unless I missed something. Either way, My parents would have told me to keep saving and dreaming. 😂

I love my '14 SS sedan. Picked it up in fall of '22 and it now has over 130k miles and still runs great. A 6.2L rwd and room for 2 car seats in the back is perfect. Most people think its a Malibu or something generic... but then I'll have random people come up to me at the gas station and love talking about it.
It's one of those if you know you know cars. It's a total sleeper because it looks like a Malibu.

I’m a Ford guy through and through but when it came time to add a Ute to the fleet I didn’t hesitate to buy a VE SS manual.
Love the green. Looks almost black. Mercedes is offering similar now.
That dark green metallic is gorgeous too. I started learning to drive in 2008 Holden Berlina Sportswagon my parents owned.
But living in Australia these cars are a dim a dozen and so I'm just not that overly interested.
But seeing G8's and Chevrolet SS's in the US and passion the owners have is great.
I also love the phenomenon where US owners have rebadged them as Holden. It flies in the face of the local owners who do the exact opposite.
Keeping this one badged as a Chevy 😎 have a real SSV Ute that will retain the holden badge, funny enough it only has a steering wheel badge

We had a 2007 Impala SS black, and loaded except for leather seats, and no sunroof. An old msn on his cellphone hit us head on in a curve.
The passenger front tire was pushed into and thru the firewall. Sadly, the car was totaled. Insurance value was paid out $10k with 95k miles on the odometer. I miss that car...

I was originally joking around with the cop stache comment lol but then I believe the 2nd comment came from a memory. I used to have a friend that was into some car I had with a race engine. And he had a shitty car and then out of nowhere his parents bought him some brand new like isf and he just stopped talking to me cause he thought he was better.

Not exactly the holders I know of the hidden vs Ford culture of down under with the Gord Falcon Vs Holden Commadore. Although now they don't make holders down under seeing as GM are to lazy to make correct side drive vehicles that's steering wheel on the right not the left like the US.

I forget the Commodore wasn't an overly popular car over in the States thanks to GM's non-existent marketing. They probably could have saved Holden if GM unfucked themselves enough to market them. A sub-50 grand V8 Sedan (LS3) with a TR6060 or a 6L80E, well apportioned interior and an aftermarket that would rival JDM cars. I'm a Ford guy, but what's not to like about that?
Wait so American VF2 SSV redlines also came with white interior. Where as only vf1/calis2/wn2 had it in aus

Yep, these cars only had these options: color, transmission, sunroof / slick top & spare tire or inflator.
