That basically means they are disappointed because "Jing Yuan isn't Seele". What did they expect?? As f2p I knew I couldn't get both Seele and Jing Yuan, so I looked into their kits, tried on "support" Seele, thought I'd likely enjoy JY more. I decided to skip her and got Jing Yuan. I knew what I was getting though. If Seele and Jing Yuan both did the exact same amount of total damage, Seele still would be the _stronger DPS_ , by virtue of her damage being _front loaded._ I'm glad I got him as I'm _loving_ his gameplay. I just find it hilarious that the general chilling while bringing the 5th character in a 4 character team battle (that's cheating!) and letting him do more of heavy lifting. 😂😂😂
Something that I've also seen is that some people tend to diassociate the damage dealt by the lightning lord and Jing Yuan, even though they're the same thing essentially. Very interesting video. I think some SU bosses would've been nice but I do understand that it's a ton of work to get those to work lol.
True. They are technically separate entities i.e. you can't buff the lightning lord like you can Jing Yuan. And the thing about simulated universe is that it's not an accurate representation of a character's true abilities since you have a ton of buffs stacked up. You can make any character look a lot better than they are.
If you find that video about E0 Jing Yuan vs E6 Serval, you'll see that using same relic, generic light cone and roughly the same level in traces, Serval is about half a turn slower in a team of Asta, Gepard and Tingyun. This is using auto battle. Though, there's a big difference between their two roles. Serval can act as a sub DPS and Jing Yuan is a hyper carry, can't do anything else and eats up SP. E6 Serval is hard to get too. But hey, it's interesting

That's very true. You can't really compare him to Seele who is "the very best dps" either since they're two different roles.
