Mary's voice was exceptionally beautiful and powerful during this Expo concert series. I had never heard her sing Yesterday until finding your UA-cam post two months ago, was blown away by then and I still am in awe of her performance now.
McCartney's original rendition is one of music's best performances of all-time, and Mary's version, in my opinion, at least equals it. Paul "believes" in yesterday, but here Mary makes her belief in yesterday a strong declaration!
It's a shame that there was never a official Expo 79 concert album and also sad that she did not make a studio recording of Yesterday
All the more reason I'm thankful for your sharing of this and other audio recordings of Mary's concert at Expo 70!

This is one of happy birthday surprises of mine for Mary herself.
A lovely Mary biting an apple was delivered to me when ticketing the Osaka Expo live ca. 40 years ago. She released TWTD in one of "Our First Four" at the year 1968 (TWTD is No. 2) 41 years ago.
This slide show introduces Mary's Yesterday from her debut at Apple to YESTERDAY (last fall 2008) during 40 years.
