The closest that I ever got to acting like this was when I watched Astartes for the first time - and THAT had nothing to do with a huge company; it was a single dude who made that. Actual talent.

Astartes is pure combat and story, unlike this show.
I do, but not in THAT extreme way. xD I'm currently watching Flashpoint (2008) and I love the characters so much that whenever they argue with each other, I'm mad, whenever they die or leave (or it is simply their episode), I cry, whenever someone hurts them, I'm on edge... The show can get super heated at times. This is the first time in my life I can cry after 45 minutes with some random character they introduce (it's an episodic show).
I guess you have to be a big fan and you have to believe that what you're watching is a masterpiece + people creating it had good intentions. That is the paradox here, because clearly... how can someone say that about this show?
I've been known to cry like a baby when the dog dies in movies but that's about it.

I can't say that people getting emotional about characters they love is something to really hold against them. The oddity is that these people are filming themselves doing it, which opens them up to ridicule whether they mean to or not. I felt very similar when Luke showed up in Mandalorian, teared up and watched a bunch of people react to it because I really wanted to keep experiencing the emotion of seeing him be with us again. But like Mauler said and predicted, shortly after the fanfare faded, we realized it meant absolutely nothing in any sense of the world-bulding or characterization. So really these people are just victims of a strategy that we know works, and I won't blame them for being emotional about their childhood showing up. Same for Star Wars Theory for example. It's when they hear criticism or something that they can't accept it after the fact that really makes the difference.
Most of this are fake just to make "reaction" videos.

I agreed , not all of them are fake either , I follow Blind Wave and I know for a fact he is a super hardcore fan of Star Wars and he mostly reacts this way for Star Wars stuff even crying of joy like SW theory for Luke , I got the same reaction from Luke and I liked most of these moments in Ashoka ( not to the same degree as Luke's or how it shows in this video) and I think the series was meh but regardless it is a fan that is invested on the story long term and the company knows it and knows how to tickle ( sometimes) that nostalgia button. It is also true that some reaction channels are just faking it for traffic that is the nature of social media sadly. But yeah there's some real reactions there like Thor's too and I think you can spot the real ''shills'' paid by Disney easily like Kyle Katarn which had me fooled a couple of years back until he did his review of Galaxy's Edge sheeesh I believe that was the point Disney just hired him as a ''positive SW influencer'' .

Most shill channels are new reactors who first watched ep 4 in the last year, they don't have the attachment to the universe like most of the rest of us. Not saying it's bad to just discover or anything but the years of waiting is not there, they watched everything back to back.

I watched Reel Rejects when they would react to funny movies. After seeing how they act during these terrible shows, and finding out they get sponsored by Amazon and Disney, I stopped watching them and even Unsubbed. I refuse to watch content from people who are bought and paid for, or who have a heavy bias for the wrong people.

I can guarantee you none of these fake SW fans ever watched the entire OT/PT more than once.
They did see them, but it was because they were content for their channel. Outside of creating content to generate views, they haven't seen Star Wars OT/PT, or Lord of the Rings on their own, or even modern movies if their patrons don't ask them to react.
The same thing happens with video games, I remember when the Resident Evil 2 remake trailer was revealed, everyone was so into it that it seemed like they had played it as kids. Then you see the compilations of reactions and scares from those same people and they can't identify a Licker.
