But this wasn't m32a1, it was the pre update version. As seen by the long barrel and stock released by 2 side buttons.
just like in tf2
Gotta love South African ingenuity, Milkor M32A1 doing us proud among others... :)
and he got the idea from a film for it ! :)
I was in infantry training in South Africa in 1990 and one of my platoon friends was killed by the first shot he fired with the same type of launcher because of as they said faulty ammunition . It happened about 100m away from me and needless to say what he looked liked . Sad as we never used our training afterwards
Jesus man are you ok
Dude....are you alright?
Grenade launchers in videogames and movies: Same range and power of hand grenades.
Grenade launchers irl: Almost ten times more powerful than hand grenades.
Thank you for you service Larry. Keep the great vids coming. God Bless America!!!
Larry - just noticed this - when you go in for a handshake with a dude it looks exactly like your pistol draw, from a body mechanics point of view. that's some consistency right there. another great video!
Thanks for the video *****! I got to train some Marines on this system back in 2011 just before I got out, it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot!
No matter what you say, this will forever be the best weapon ever made. Even just based on the sound!
Awesome to see this South African weapon in action. 🇿🇦❤️
That guy kept his finger on the trigger all the time lol.
+Ryan n what the problem
john vines okay sorry i was kinda ignorant at that time.
@@kecin20 Yeah its cool, I'm not saying you are stupid or anything like that, lots of people don't know how to handle weapons. 99% of movies I watch that use weapons are wrong. its crazy that people watch Hollywood movies have no clue about weapons.

I love the noise it makes: pop... boom

*"Sir, this is an M32 grenade launcher."*
South African Never Stop to Impressed me.... After their Marvelous PMC service now they got Great Weapons
The original request from the army for a grenade launcher was that it would be a three-round semi-automatic launcher. They got one to work but the M79 was so simple and easy to use, just like a break-open shotgun, that everybody who tried it loved it. That's where it all began--sort of. Before WWII, there were light mortars in use, usually of about 50mm, in France, Germany, Russia, and Japan. Few remained in use by the end of the war. In contrast, everybody uses something like the 40mm grenade launcher.
Everything nice and well, but this ain't no m32a1, it's the pre update version.
You've been watching Forgotten weapons.
@@kutamsterdam yeah, couldn't wait for his shooting video ;)
😂 this popped up in my suggestions after watching forgotten weapons. Wish Gun Jesus got to fire live rounds too
Gun Jesus has educated you in the ways of the M32 and M32A1 as well I see
@@xanimosityxgaming2664 A1 my ass. Maybe the Army doesn't have the better version yet.
Handheld indirect fire have always fascinated me.
Thanks for showing us all this cool stuff Larry. And for putting foot-to-ass for the good ol' US of A!!!!!
Nice tennis ball launcher! Gonna get one for my kids
Can't be a weapon, it's a weapon "system" lol. Add "system" to the end of anything to sound smarter.
I agree 100% that it is an over-used and frequently mis-applied term, but it's still true that a weapon is a system: any weapon design reflects a certain employment or training philosophy. It also reflects the capabilities or limitations of a maintenance or spare parts organization behind that. And the basis of issue also reflects certain budgetary realities: there is a reason that a weapon such as the M32 is primarily issued to SOF. They have the hand-selected personnel and other resources (prime among them being budget for training time and ammo) that conventional units simply do not have.
To the extent that sales people over-apply the term, or gun enthusiasts (in uniform or without) misuse use the term, yes, it is a very dumb term. Even a dangerous term. But it is also one of the critical differences between militaries that perform to a high level, and those that do not.
It is the archer, not the arrow, that makes all the difference.
That and "modular", they're literally on every service gears nowadays
SA designed some of the best weapons in the world!
We used one of these the very first night we acquired it in Rawah Iraq in 2006 that might have been the big push but these things were on the battlefield being tested out way before then
That sound is just so satisfying
You've got one of the best jobs on the planet Larry.
Love that blub sound of grenade launchers
6 years later and I’m here walking around going “blub blub blub” then I thought might be more of a “glub or poomp or glooomp” either way it’s so cool the sound.

Hey Larry, any chance on doing a video with the FAMAS? I saw you recently posted some pictures of what I assume is one of the few Century FAMAS imported in the country. Personally, I was fortunate enough to handle one in person but the gun had never been fired so obviously I did not get the opportunity to shoot it, but I was also not able to get an answer on whether any of the FAMAS variants have a bolt last round hold open. Maybe you could give us some input on the gun as well as how it compares to the evolutions today in the French military. Kind of one of those guns that's pretty interesting just because it's so different. Obviously with pretty much every Special Operations world-wide using M4 variants, I think it's safe to say we got it pretty good in the U.S, but nevertheless the FAMAS is one cool and interesting looking gun. Thanks for the cool content, LAV!
I definitely plan on a FAMAS video at some point
Designed and produced in 1st world South Africa 35 years ago... Some great weapons systems were designed there before they re-entered the dark ages in 1994.. One of the fastest disintegration's of a modern industrial society in recorded history.
@@gpaine5833 Well said, none of the industry's elan was lost and there are certainly no 'dark ages'. SA wasn't a first world country before and it still isn't now, but nevertheless they are a great military force.
"DEATH TO THE MPLA!"
@morton christie The large part of the population was poor and lived in squalor because they could not prosper in a system that discriminated them and didn't give equal opportunities to other races.
@morton christie No, they lived in slums under the firm heel of the SA police. The problem is that they were deliberately held in townships and bantustans while the ruling minority lived very comfortably. They may have lived marginally better than their neighbours but they were still very poor and were not free in their own country. Their living conditions and freedoms are incomparable to life in eastern Europe. My mother grew up in the USSR and even though they were poor, they were all well educated and not bound by any apartheid like system.
@morton christie Ah yes the old excuse "They would fall apart without an oppressive regime". Tell me, how many black south africans would now go back to the time of apartheid? Do they not practically worship Nelson Mandela?
You say a black man could buy these things if he had the money, but where in the world would he get the money? Compared to the whites, they were dirt poor. No oppurtunities in life at all, just because of the colour of their skin. Life in the USSR was no fairytale, but at least my mother had a flat and didn't live in an overcrowded slum. They didn't discriminate for something you can never choose and everyone was educated. If I had to choose I would pick living in the USSR anyday over being a black man in South Africa during the 70s or 80s. Because I'd rather be poor than poor and beaten up.
Thats the m32 not the m32a1
i was going to say the same thing .. the a one has a diffrent stock shorter barrel and can shoot medium loads
r/beatmetoit
No it’s just modified
I think we know the weapons names because of games
Like the old Thompson mags, wind the spring a dozen times and you're rolling.
That is a beast weapon!!!!
Is this what the Demoman uses in Team Fortress?
That's so cool!
Wish I could've got some of those tanks before they were used on the range, haha. See a bunch of Sheridans out there.
Awesome ..
fire clean
Lovely product, i have one for recreational reasons
I like how he keeps his finger on the trigger the whole time
That was pretty good.I was expecting the explosians to be more close.
Eduard Rusu Then you want a video on hand held grenades. The purpose of a launcher is to reach out to to people. ;)
I love how this delicate machine of murder created to dominate the battleship and destroy tanks goes * FOOP * when fired.
VERY VERY COOL
Awesome. Dat trigger finger doe
"The historical reality of the Second Amendment’s protection of the right to keep and bear arms is not that it protects the right to shoot deer. that thing on the barrel looks super useful while firing...
Rock, paper, scissors, GRENADE LAUNCHER!
Developed from a South African design, good stuff! Milkor is good people.
That looks like the 519 tear gas launcher i used back quite a few years ago
Awsome
All the way from My Home country SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦
That could put a serious hurt on an ambush. They think they have got you cold then 6 rounds of serious hurt come down around their ears.
Now try mess with Russians equipted with fully automatic granade launchers...
Who could imagine Noir dual wielding these.
A squad firepower is greatly augmented with that weapon😛
I like how a lot of guys who shoot now, have to wear quasi military looking “gear” while they do it. “Olive drab shirts by Polo, sure, I need one before I go shooting next time.”
The 2nd amendment says, I should have one of these.
0:48 does the tag means you got it on sale?
Im just here for the thunk boom
Currently imagining a speed loader for that beast!
CMDR Boom
and they say my .44mag speed loaders are to big and clumsy
Nice 😎
I always flinch when I see that finger on the trigger and that barrel shoved into the table like that... I know a nasty story about a richochet and a bullet to the throat.
SFC doesn't want to let go of that trigger
So this is where the battlefield 4 grenade luncher sounds come from 😂
Lol it sounds so goofy when shot. Bonk
Ellis: I will take this one!
I love milkor M32A1
Imagine one of these things with metal storm loading capabilities where it fires like 40 automatic shots
what kind of twist rate is used with a heavy slow round like that? It looked fairly fast on the high speed.
I used that in 1991 in the South African army. (SADF). Before it was exported the the USA
Good weapon ?
@@Dan4x2282 exellent!

1:52 why does this guy keep his finger on the trigger of his bloody milkor? WHY?
Because he can
because it wasn't loaded dumbass
@@u.s.a3940 always treat a weapon as if it’s loaded.
I'm surprised no one thought of this sooner, it's got a ton more firepower than a m79. I'm also surprised no one has decided to use a m79 style gun with 2 barrels.
Follow up shots are important.
Also all of the weapon systems mentioned are pretty simple, so I'm surprised someone didn't come up with this, especially the Russians.
A sawed-off double-barrel grenade launcher would be a hella cool weapon for a comic/videogame character.
Russia fas GM-94. A pump action grenade launcher.
