  • A Quick test of my fully restored and refurbished Sanyo VTC M40, which I bought from an Ex-Sanyo Engineer.
This particular Sanyo VTC M40 (1984) has had idlers and belt's replaced with new, lubrication to the important areas and a full strip down of the entire reel drive and mechanicals. These together with reel brakes, tape spools, back tension, pinch roller, capstan shaft audio head azimuth alignment, have all been replaced with new/repaired, adjusted, or cleaned as necessary. ALL Belt's and idler tyres are always new ( and absolutely necessary ). The caps in the PSU have also been checked and replaced with new if required. Tracking is set up perfectly for many recordings from different vcr sources and as this is a Hi-Fi vcr even more critical. Every mode performs faultlessly and exactly to spec treating the tapes used with care and respect.
It has also now benefited with very slightly bigger idler tyres and the reel drive resistor has been upgraded to ensure no tape snagging as the motor ages.
This model come with a NEW unused infra red remote control. The front flap door (usually broken or completely missing) hinges are repaired and should never break again and the clasp has been repaired too and is stronger as well.
