- Welcome to my updated Video Tour Between Titanic VR and Titanic H&G.
As I was an early backer of Titanic VR I managed to get my steam download code early. I thought I would do a quick comparison video of wreck screenshots from Titanic VR along with screenshots from the game Titanic Honor and Glory. It really gives you an idea of the wreck, the layout and its condition. - Ігри
The wreck contrasting with the normal mode is interesting and extremely creepy, just to think that people were once walking around there like its no ones business and now its all under the sea...
It's incredible how beautiful it's this famous ship eventhough it's in ruins and it just left a little bit of the glory of an era underwater and covered in the darkness of Atlantic Ocean. Rip Titanic and all people who perished during the sinking.

Wow I’ve been into the Titanic my whole life and I’ve studied every picture I could ever find. I have never seen anything like this! What a mind blowing portrayal of what the inside of the wreckage actually looks like today! I’ve been waiting for the chance to check this out for years, and all the doubts that I wouldn’t ever get to see it have been proven wrong! I will be following this game and I’ll be one of the first to play it when it’s available in VR

I find this video incredibly depressing..like watching a funeral..the ship was so alive and is now a dead shell at the bottom of the Atlantic, sad
It's actually an oasis of abundant marine life in the middle of a vast desert. Although I'd be lying if I said that it gave me an iota of consolation.
This video is hard to watch may titanic and her passengers rest in sweet heavenly peace.

Amazing! just got Titanic VR ...on Oculus ...Outstanding..but just the wreck from part of ship for now (front) but Cool....they're adding patches for the Stern as well....this looks amazing - I hope it comes on VR as well
I'm just blown away by how far pc gaming has come. I remember the pc games I used to play in the 2000's and it looked like minecraft compared to today's games.

@@amblyn8254 hek ye, when VR becomes the standard, maybe within the next decade or 2 with how quickly game development and technology progresses, I think it'll revolutionize many things even outside of the gaming community.

Totally untrue. Its going to take centuries before its gone. It'll still be recognisable as a ship wreck easily in another 200 years.
This video was very well done. It's so sad to see this once beautiful ship in this state. Did you not see the 1st class dining room Windows.? And the swimming pool? I'd also like to see inside the dining room if it is still there .

The wreckmodel really looks nice in this video, however there is one problem...I have seen a lot of Titanic documentairies and I don't think they ever went to E-Deck at the landing of the grand staircase. Because of all the rubble down there I don't even think it's possible to get that deep into the ship. Even James Cameron only went as far as D-Deck I guess...But he did get to the Turkish Bath witch was on F-Deck between the swimming pool and the third class dining room...
The only way to get to the turkish bath is by passing trough the Grand Staircase on E deck, then on F deck.
Would love to see a 360 video of the titanic reck, before there’s nothing left of it to see.

I enjoyed this video but of course, the wreck images are not as the ship interior looks now. The interior of the wreck would have looked similar to the video images, I would guess, in the 1930s or 40s...after it had been on the seabed for 20 to 30 years. Would anyone agree with that or am I wrong?
Titanic VR used inspiration from a lot of wreck footage from real Titanic dives. Yes I'm sure there is a bit of artistic licence going on here and there, but I think because the CGI images from the game are so much clearer and the real dive video footage usually isn't very good quality that can alter perception. The game team got the grand staircase spot on though, I mean the metal support structure of the staircase on D deck was all present on the 2005 Titanic dive, light fittings hanging out of the ceiling again are also present on the wreck. Wood Panelling with white enamel paint on is also present in the remains of the D deck reception room as of 2005.
Almost all their interiors are incorrect, but look authentic enough for a pass.
They display basically none of the artefacts apart from a few marconi room items and captain smiths bath in the right place, they present all of the walls intact and cabins full of intact incorrect furniture. The outside is actually pretty accurate, i'd say like 90%. But the interior looks like perhaps 1920s. the wood would have decayed really soon after the sinking. For comparison's sake... almost none of the cabin walls are intact inside the wreck, but ALL of them are in the game... unfortunately makes a huge percent of the wreck unrecognizable to those of us who actually know the wreck inside out.

The inside looks pretty accurate to videos I've seen on the wreck. It's actually in a lot better condition than one might think (the Turkish Baths are completely intact, wallpaper and all, and so is one of the suits). It's not in great condition, but it's still intact for the most part

Actually no it’s not bits and pieces of it maybe but most of what is shown in this video is in accurate due to the fact that the ship split into meaning everything from just before the after grand staircase and on was lost or completely demolished
Dont see the point of "fake" wreck scenes. If it was the real images which were stitched together so you could explore a bit like google street view that would be fantastic
Andrew James i don’t really think you understand what you are looking at. You are looking at screenshots from a VR simulation called Titanic VR it has been modelled on the computer from a actual dive footage from the wreck. I was comparing the two games Titanic VR and Titanic Honor and Glory of locations what are currently available in both games. Both games are very accurate in their modelling. As Honor and Glory is only in Demo form there are s limited amount of locations. I just wish people would understand what they are looking at before commenting.

For this asking alot of the "wreck" shots are only by guessing for instance the d deck staircase and reception. I don't think they ever explored that far down the ship
Jordon Hanlan they have they have been in all decks including the squash court Turkish baths, mostly every where on the wreck but they can't access the swimming pool because of a water tight bulk head

So how much creative freedom the VR version took?
A lot. Not many areas have been photographed so it's really hard to guess what's there. VR looked mostly at H&G, you can see this at 1:27 for example. The windows and the door have never been photographed as far as I know. The windows were a 'discovery' by the THG team ( see this video ua-cam.com/video/z-M0boXHASY/v-deo.html) and have not been seen in the wreck IRL, but in Titanic VR they are there. Not entirely accurate so to speak.

great vid. love the comparisons. i just have one complaint....SO MANY views of the SAME things. "Oooo...the Reception Room....Oooo, the Reception Room.....Oh, the Reception Room...again." btw, the staircase is gone -- it's just a big hole now. SO MANY views of a big hole. ...and BACK to the Reception Room!

There really isn't many places that are that accessible in Titanic H&G yet. I was restricted to what is available in both games at the same time for comparisons so missing the Straus staterooms, the Marconi wireless room, the bridge and its wings etc. You could always try though but you'd run into the same issues.
you're right. it didn't occur to me that you were working with only what has been released from both. i apologize for being rather "overzealous" with my frustration in my comment. in all honesty, you did a wonderful job with the editing, transitions & sync. the music choice was really good too...perfect for the subject & images. and, again, i apologize for the criticism, especially since you were doing the best you could with what you had to work with. :-)
Honor & Glory hasn't released the full game yet, so he's limited on places to do comparisons to, and Titanic VR doesn't let you go into the Dining Hall.. probably because it's half smashed.

The grand staircase is gone?
Yes the grand staircase was destroyed during the sinking it was ripped out of the top of the ship as she sank.

Same thing happened in James Cameron's Titantic, during the sinking the Grand Stair case like in the real Titanic separated and started to floot away.
Actually it was the hydraulic out burst. Titanic was creating a huge force behind her while she was sinking, so when she hit the sea bed she ate all that force removing all the stairs of the grand stair case because it was made out of wood so it couldnt survived that amount of force.
You can see the wreck and the debris field of the Titanic and learn how it's like that in the first place here on UA-cam.

Nice video, a little repetitive and inaccurate. Would be more interesting to see comparisons of the ship and the wreck just after the sinking and the dust had settled.
I am not really sure what type of point you are trying to make? I have no control over what these two different games on Titanic currently feature as they both are still just in Demo form. All I did was just take screenshots of the same limited amount of locations, which are available in both Titanic Honor and Glory and Titanic VR.
Yes, Titanic VR has a bit of creativity going on in places within the wreck, but on a whole the guys who've made Titanic VR have done a pretty decent job at recreating the wreck. The guys who've made Honor and Glory have done an outstanding job though.
I think you need to perhaps research what these games actually are. For whatever reason some people seem to be confused and believe this is some kind of artwork I've done which it isn't. All I did was take in game screenshots for comparison purposes.
Titanic VR is a game about exploring the wreck of the Titanic
Titanic Honor and glory will be set before and during the sinking back in 1912. It will be the most accurate digital recreation of Titanic to date the level of detail these guys are incorporating is truly profound. Its going to be a masterpiece upon completion.
