Yes! The”hot chorus” was a staple of 1920s dance band arrangements (usually at the end of a song) and here it’s made even better by instrumentalists who can really swing! Because this is a relatively obscure group, it just goes to show that there still has to be a lot of really great recordings out there waiting to be discovered. Thanks for your positive comments!
This is a really nice record! Certainly sounds like some star players there too. The side is listed in Rust under Billy James, page 855 in my edition. Matrix is 8425. Jerry White is not a pseudonym, so could be correct, but to me has a hint of Scrappy Lambert's voice. I am not too familiar with this band, but it seems to be an ARC Plaza group, so I probably have some by them or at least heard some myself already! I'm behind on my listening, gotta get my act together!
Hi Martin, thank you very, very much for this exceptional information, I really appreciate your excellent detective work. I'll modify the above notes on this accordingly. Once again, I feel that discographies can be like a labyrinth in a maze in a mystery wrapped inside of a riddle beside an enigma on top of a state of confusion, etc. etc. etc.... 🙂
The vocalist is Jerry White as labelled, the band is probably an Adrian Schubert studio group.
@@cyrusbahmaie3580 Thanks for the information!
That is some scoring following the vocal!

Good song and funny .
@@ronaldblackburn2483 Thanks for your positive response and for listening!
The vocal is not Harold Lamnert. Billy James band at it's best. The tune is great. The surface noise is usual, but the fidelity is great.
Lambert
