I delivered an apron I made as a Christmas gift this morning. I mentioned how much I wanted to make a harvest apron for next summer (July/August in Canada) and discovered this video when I returned home! What great timing.😊
Wow, how do you find time to do all that you do? Between the shop, sewing more bags, amazing and editing your videos, home life, and getting some sleep! Pretty amazing.
A cross over bib apron would give you more protection for you clothes, and a stronger apron. Kindergarten and Preschool teachers need these kinds of aprons to carry tissues, first aid supplies, baby wipes, and other supplies needed when they take the children to the playground or other areas of the building. There are many uses for this type of apron. Thank you for this video.
What a wonderful, useful bag. I'm past my prime in gardening, but wish I had a bag like that years ago. I might make a few for our church bazaar as folks are perusing their seed catalogs while waiting for Spring & a gathering bag might just be the spark to their planning. Thanks for the idea, Christine.
I’m envious of your garden; a few months away from being able to garden in Kentucky. Love the simplicity of the apron; I’ve been wanting to make one that was easy, as I’m a beginner. Thank you. Also, your pooch is adorable- he is living a good life.
I've missed your garden, great to see you're still gardening and how beautifully everything is doing. Always love seeing Coco, too. Hugs from Nevada, Cathy❤
Nice idea Christine. Yes it’s ticking. Used to be used to make pillows. Lovely to see your veggies. My gardening days are over sadly but as we’re expecting snow here in England it’s good to see your expected harvest. Wishing you a healthy and peaceful New Year. ❤
Nothing nicer than fresh home grown veg straight in the pan, or even straight in the mouth 😊 We had an amazing amount of toms this year and courgette (zucchini?). Starting to plan for next year now. Apron will be very useful, thank you x
I love that you give both inches and centimeters. So much easier for me, i dont have to find a conversion chart and things to make it to inches. Thank you for the instructions for the apron it is really useful.
Wow. Your crops are doing great. Our corn never got as high as yours. Maybe it’s your weather. Great little harvest apron. Happy New Year to you all. Xxx
What a lovely garden. Well done!!! Thank you for sharing the pattern for your apron. Question : Do you have something up your very creative sleeve for a boxy pouch that opens almost flat - like a shallow box (I hope you understand what I'm talking about). Here's wishing you and Chris a very happy, joyous and prosperous New Year. Warmest wishes from South Africa 💞💞
What kind of beans are those Christine? Our favourite is called Cobra… they never get tough, no “strings”, and have a really good flavour… and they crop very heavily. Our garden is being ravaged by intense winds. Coupled with overcast days, it’s a wonder anything is producing. But I’m getting a fantastic strawberry crop 🤷♀️
Christine, I enjoyed seeing your garden.🪴 I was wondering if you have ever tried growing zucchini? It's such a versatile plant. What I mean is that you can make such a wide variety of recipes with it and also it is so prolific. My husband planted it years ago when we were younger {I'm 83 now} and I was just amazed at how much it produced.

Great harvesting apron ,and Happy New year 😊
Nice looking garden
I need to make 1 of these. I'm usually the 1 that does it & taking a bowl out to the garden is awkward. Great batch of beans. And Coco loves them too.
My bowls kept overflowing 😀

Should i wash fabric first?
I didn't, but will do so this week. It's totally up to you though😀

This is my first year without zucchini. Chris and I have had too many good crops and have had our fill of zucchini soup and chocolate zucchini cake😁
Your can also cook the male flowers.
