    Hugely talented Pan Africanist and political activist who sent striking messages out through his music to influence the Nigerian youths and the world. I recall him telling me that he sometimes got inspiration for his songs from the chirping of birds 😊.
    Rest In Peace, great man.

    2019 and first time me hear this song. Fela is one of kind. Fela is very true and kind. Fela lives in our heart and mind. I wish my people can gratify the epistemological framings of Fela's music. Fela was not only an artist but an African Scholar who provided a paradigm shift in African ontological studies. Black man, women and child rise up again and show the world who is Alkebu-lan.

      Is it not religious to follow the deities of the day? Regardless if it’s Christianity or it’s the traditional religion of the day. It’s still religion. What’s most important is not religion, it’s our culture. They’ve stripped our culture from us and they continue to shame us for us. We need to find ourselves again, regardless of religion. Atheist, Christian, Muslim, traditional.

    • @bigfrxgz5207

      @@ucakpan be not fooled. Even the occultists like Paul Mcartney know that Christ is the way. The deities are nothing more than local demons. Wondering spirits and principalities set to reside over territories, elements and aspects of nature. They all bow down when the name of Yahusha is mentioned. They are not the landlords but it is he who possesses the Key to the land and that’s why we call him Lord. For he is within. He is the light which illuminates and animates our soul. Brothers and sisters do not be led astray back to the ways of our ancestors. Generational curse lay down that path. Desert the spiritual realm and bare Christ as your shepherd. Only he can guide you through this interconnected maze. Only through him can you (man) connect with God as he is the father and the son. And we are the children (heirs to the kingdom) but kingdom will only come once we make the conditions here suitable for it. We build the kingdom and within the kingdom there is no space for idol worship of any kind. God Bless you.

      Tony Allen & Ginger Baker play both . i just checked (verifiws) on back cover album : both play drums. to my ears , it seems ginger is on the first track (title album) ; and Tony Allen is on the other track : Ikoy... ; if you listen carefully , drums are very different (on first & second track).
      Ginger Backer was also producer , obviously Fela too.

    • @juanestadian8471
      @juanestadian8471 Рік тому

      Yeah Ginger played on Why Black man Dey Suffer. Tony Allen was on Iyoki vs Mushin mentality. To be honest, Tony’s work on the other track is a lot funkier and more complex. Not that Ginger didn’t do a fantastic job but his drumming is a a little more militant
