Hey man, I just want to say thank you for doing these videos on some rare bikes. Not many people break these down and go through them. Super helpful and appreciate it!
Thanks for the video brother. I hope you've enjoyed your Stryker. I have a blast on mine. Gotta keep the girl running beautiful though. Previous owners weren't very clever.
This is EXACTLY what Mine does and I just bought it as a trade in for my Honda Shadow at a local dealership. I'm surprised they didn't notice it. Now to watch your video and see. My bike overheats in about 5 minutes. EDIT : Thank you SO much for the clear, easy instructions. I was able to take the seat and tank off with the key and a 12mm socket in 5 minutes and check the radiator. It was full, but I topped it off and the overflow immediately went out the drain hose. Now, it runs better and the fan doesn't stay on as long. Maybe it was a tad low ?
Hey man thanks for the video! Earlier this year my Stryker's coolant reservoir cracked due to the desert heat here in Phoenix. This was very helpful in figuring whether I'd be able to do a coolant flush by myself (it was cake.) No temperature light all summer so I guess I did okay. ... Changing the reservoir was the hard part though as I had to remove the entire exhaust and right pedal to get at it
Many thanks......will use these hints on my 2011 model V Star 1300 (same engine) which I also bought at an excellent price. Only 3000 miles on clock. Much obliged to you!
Great video. I just bought a 2012 stryker. It's modded out . My problem so far is some idiot tightened the oil filter on so hard that I still haven't gotten it off . Might have to go to my mechanic cuz I don't have a lift to get good leverage.
Yes I did , I put some new gas in shake it and dump out again until it’s cleaned. That is all I did to it. But if your tank is rusted you will need to remove all the rust and repaint
@@Yololife813 thanks for the quick response, there’s no rust at all, so I’ll try flushing with gas. Thanks and enjoy riding and be safe! I subscribed and will be watching your videos
Your video helped a lot. Thank you. Qq. After you put vinegar and water in the radiator and you drain it, what is the last step? Did you fill it with coolant ? Or just water? If coolant what type? Thanks again
Hey! Got a Stryker recently, your video is very helpful, may I ask what sort of stand are you using to keep the bike up straight? I've been looking for one but don't know what to buy. Thank you!
i know im arriving late to the party, but what kind of front tire level is that? i dont know the terminology. Im very new to maintenance but I just got a stryker on friday with a very simular story!
Yes, just pump the brake by squeeze the brake ,hold, then loosing the nut to bleed. Tight the nut. Release the brake . Keep repeating till liquid clear. You can watch other channels how to bleed brake without using sucking tool. Good luck

Hi
Good video
Where is the coolant reservoir?
Thanks for this video it’s helped me, I have a question did you have to drain old gas out of tank and if so what else had to be done to tank?
Yes I did , I put some new gas in shake it and dump out again until it’s cleaned. That is all I did to it. But if your tank is rusted you will need to remove all the rust and repaint

Drain and put 50/50 ready to use coolant. Don’t just put water it will cause your radiator rust over time.

Condor wheel stand. pricey but worth the money. good stand. I got used on Facebook. but still pricey.
I have same bike, just wondering will all of the flush fluid come out of the engine just from removing the drain plug?
Super helpful man. Thanx a million
Glad it helped!
Did you have to disconnect any hoses to get to the radiator. Just pushing the tank to the side would work right?
No disconnect hoses
Awesome vid. That problem that you had, would u say it was because of the injectors?

Hello do you recall the spark plug socket size and the NGK part number for this?
