This is an excellent breakdown thank you. I have a course on e6 b6 defense but it’s really helpful to have a quick summation of the big ideas against e4
Iv seen all 3 of your videos on this opening and I absolutely love them! Could you please make more videos on this opening? Maybe some online matches to show how to play against some of the more rare lines? Keep doing you!👍👍
Yeah it´s funny that i haven´t tried the Larsen opening too much while i´ve used this one much more often down a tempo. And with the larsen you have options and different plans taking advantage of the extra tempo.
haha funny you said that, in part 2 i´ll show the good lines to stay on a pure owens defense , but i actually do as yourself more often than not, starting with the owens and then getting into my beloved hippo by transposition as well!

Thanks a lot for watching! i´ll try to make more on the Owens defense and to include some real life games to analyse more rare lines.

I’ve had quite some success playing 1b3 with white. This is similar just down a tempo. Looking forward to the other videos 😊

Thanks for this video and the follow ups in advance. Up to this point, my only real experience with b6 Bb7 was as a path to the Hippo 😄
