- So here it is everybody, I have sold the DC5 for this ultra clean EK9. It took ages to source a clean and unmodified facelift Civic Type R. Was it a good choice? Let me know below.

Adam Ivell Sure. For me they really miss that extra torque from the B18. Love the look of a stock UK DC2
Adam Ivell FN2 for me, comfortable daily and still has a k20 for when you want that VTEC, comes alive nicely with a good intake & exhaust, but the EK9 of course is the legend.
The Ek9 may very well be the absolute best purchase in your arsenal. Superb car all around. Def a good grab on this one. Mint and fresh as you will ever see. Super clean awesome grab. When your tired of it please ship it out here. That is an absolute dream to own.

I think you made a fantastic choice! EK9 is a more sought after car and will increase more in value. I also think for driving pleasure the EK9 has that Raw 90s Honda engineering that just can't be matched. Excellent choice!

I personally think the b16 engines are the most fun to drive. So rewarding when you hit vtec in them and they sound amazing! I have a b16a2 in my ej9 and I love it! Great choice man

I'm from Australia and I love the EK9 and FD2 (I'd wish to own both). I don't think there are many genuine ones here. Both very rare cars to come by. Wish to see both these cars stay on the channel!! :)

Good choice because FD2 is the best one for K20A, B16 and EK9 are legendary and awesome fun

love the EK9. Cleanest body compared to any jdm car for me. No playing around, everything is simple and functions as normal as a car would today. Thats what makes the aesthetic so pleasing

I think its much better having EK9 and FD2 than DC5 amd FD2. EK9 and FD2 are the best Type R feeling. My EK9 with just breathing mods and chipped P30JDM ECU overcomes 200bhp. EK9 is light and with suitable coilovers and lower vtec point gets much much faster in standard B16B. Torque will not be as high as a b18C but car is very capable and fun. 5 gears and vtec point at 6100 rpm as standard will be weak until 6k rpm in tight circuit but after changing ECU it just frees up the demon ;)

Shoulda kept the dc5... honda specifically create the dc5 shell in terms of performance rather than base it on a shell that was already create then modified later like ek9 and dc2. But the ek9 is more rare. Shoulda sold the fd2

i loved my ek9; miss it more anything. you have an absolute minter. how much was it to import? i bought mine for £5700 around 3 years ago.

If you want to tune this car, do a Kanjozoku build... You wont regret it
If you want to not losing money on the EK9 then don't modify the car at all. Stock holds it's value better than modified even if it is slower. DC5 is alright, it is only 2 doors and since you are getting an EK9 anyway then it isn't much of a difference except it is slower. FD2 is perfect and the last NA type R ever made and also the quickest out of the bunch.

I have an EK9 with a K20A. It such an animal now since the kseries has gone in
B16B pushes out 185HP stock but if SPOON SPORTS pushes out 260HP stock
If its a spoon ek9 its not stock
shoulda bought a bigger house so you can keep them all! hahaha
It's already a good choice: FD2, EK9, & just stay sa S2000. If I were you, I am the happiest man alive, hahaha!
