Should the serum and urine creatinine (.77 and 11.7 respectively) tests be done fasted.. does it affect the test if one drinks too much/little water prior? Based on the Kidney foundation calculator my eGFR is 107 (low muscle mass).
And since everything seems "borderline" ( alb/creat : 26 , A1C : 5.7, fasting glucose :101, fasting insulin: 3.7 uIU/ml).. would you recommend additional testing, like a serum Cystatin C? Or a 24-hour GFR ?
Or, should I jump directly to a protocol that may lower the amount of albumin protein in the urine? Any suggestions?

I m diabetic since last 4 yrs. My acr ratio comes 36 in January de said it's ok but i worried so i came to CMC Vellore here they tested many tests other tests r ok but they have tested 24hrs urine protein creatinine.and here it came 131mg in 24 hrs urine sample/day they said it's ok CMC nephrology doctor said it's ok if protein is less than 150mg/per day but still i worried why it's 131 mg why not 0 mg ..
