You could probably use a shop vac and some vacuum lines to a glass fume hood/reaction vessel if you are doing this inside still.

you need to detonate it, not burn it..... stick a small ball of the nitro cellulose on an anville and whack it with a lump hammer... or use a primer from a bullet. we used to make nitro cellulose back when we were in school it's also known as gun cotton. you get a huge energy release if you detonate it.
