This was amazing. TKOR hasn't been that great in recent years and i was only still subscribed because in memory of Grant. Once Nate and Callie left that's when TKOR really took a turn for the worst. Hopefully this right here keeps going because I loved this.
So much better. The random sketchy shenanigans without the over acted drama. I was skeptical of watching thinking it would be the same outcome. Glad I checked it out. TKOR is coming back.
I have been a subscriber to this channel for over 10 years, and I just wanted to say I am excited to see this new TKOR, looks like it is headed to the right direction.
i remember back in the day when grant did a craft that included putting foam in acetone to make goo, and a ton of people commented chewing him out for "teaching kids to make napalm." now it's just a feature of the channel. 🤣 i like the new guy!! like others are saying, very much in the spirit of what grant started.
Now THIS is TKOR that I remember. The fun but informative videos that don't make me feel like I should be 5 watching it. Oh how I missed the days of Grant, Nate and Cali. Thank you for listening to us and bringing us back to TKOR we used to love.
There are several videos about making napalm. It all comes down to the presentation. There are many practical uses for napalm. For one, it could be used as a fire starter.
By the looks of it the comments seem way happier since you came along I’m also very happy tkor is back to it’s original content :D And awesome video man
I have been subscribed to this channel since the beginning and have seen this channel go through so many changes. I am liking the new host and the return of the content that we have come to know and love. This brings back memories of the days of Grant in a way. Looking forward to more great content with this host and from this channel.
Just a note on cheese graters. If you slide the cheese (or soap) at a 45 degree angle instead of straight down the grater you will get a much finer product. Try it.
Legos are made of ABS plastic so it’s the same thing as the abs pipe. Acetone is a chemical solvent used to bond abs as well so if you want your legos to never come apart brush a little nail polish remover on the mating surfaces and they will fuse together.
Finally some good ol TKOR, I still come from time to time to check on the channel because I loved TKOR and Grant was my favorite youtuber. I'm really happy to see this kind of video, please keep it up and bring back this Old School TKOR ❤❤❤
Welcome back to the internet tkor. This is the original style the audience subscribed for. Future Idea: Would love to see some basic graphics explaing the science when the host is talking. Great work! Hope to see more in future. Thanks for returning.
Me and my best bud did this all the time growing up. We liked making torches and stuff with it, but you should always be super careful. Don't EVER grab lit napalm or try to light it with another pile of burning napalm like you see in the video. It can be extremely adhesive and burn you through protective equipment.
you can use the abs plastic "napalm" as an acetone glue to stick pieces of abs together or repair them, once the acetone evaporates its as strong as if thats how it was molded to start. Useful for automotive projects
Yeah as soon as I saw that I was just thinking “that seems a bad idea to be so close to that smoke” and moments later he even commented on how the smoke became an issue. Not really even much of a pay off in the end.
My theory is she decided to take a break due to all the backlash she was getting. If you watched any of the recent videos with her you could tell she didn't have the same energy she had when she first joined TKOR in the summer of 2020 plus she mentioned in a few videos that shes been fighting depression
Lego napalm hurts my soul, but definitely has me curious! Glad to see a video that feels like it has a touch of Grant in it, and I hope you have a ton of success as the new host! It'll be a hard climb back from where the channel was brought to, but I think I'll be here for it!
I can't remember the last time I clicked on youtube notification so fast. Excellent video and all the best for the new host! YES WE WANT TO SEE LEGO NAPALM! THE OLD TKOR CONTENT IS BACK! ❤
Rip Grant Thompson. Only reason i have subscribed to this channel on every account ive made. Im 25 with a family now. Thank you Grant for being there for me on those awful nights where I couldn’t find sleep. Thank you for making videos that took me out of my own mind and let me entertain myself in a positive way. We’ve all been through those hard nights where all we seem to have is UA-cam. Thank you.
using way more liquid will result in something more practical in a scenario where you don't wanna spend 8 minutes spreading it with a butter knife lol i've also always been told a 1:1 mix of motor oil and gasoline works best but i've never done it myself so i wouldn't know
In the Army,we kept 55 gallon drums of JP4 or gasoline on the perimeter. We would add laundry soap, nails & other metal, detonate it with a claymore mine. Great anti personal mine when being overrun. We called it F.U. gas. Pronounced "foogas".
The ABS and acetone is also fantastic for plastic repair projects. Just make sure it’s super saturated so the acetone won’t eat your repair. Once painted on a crack in plastic, it fuses to the part. Great repair hack.
I greatly appreciate how Grant is mentioned so often. being someone who grew up watching The King of Random and trying to build things because of him I really love it.
such a fun video! i am a long time subscriber to this channel and am happy to see a reboot that is going back to what Grant really wanted this channel to be thank you guys for keeping the spirit of tkor alive!
Tipping your container with the pouring hole being at the highest point, you won't spill bugger all, if any. Try it, it was something someone showed me whilst dealing with solvents & so on. Works well when having to fill the lawn mower & not having a funnel
The acetone tends to spill because you are holding the can upside down when pouring. The spout should be at the top to allow air to flow in without obstruction. Also causes less sloshing as the liquid pours from it's surface. Your Dad should have taught you that when you did your first oil change.
One practical use: In canada In forestry napalm is used to burn slash piles (piles of wast wood stumps branches etc..). the forest service calls it snot. Its used because it stays where they put it, it burns hotter, and it burns longer
Bro put the tightest shirt on i will say though, the return to the old content is GREAT thank you tkor. I've checked in here and there to see if you guys have moved away from the stupid content you guys were previously uploading. But since if you guys keep this up (the return to the original content) i think ima stay and resub.
None of these are Napalm, which is/was(?) a trademarked product of DOW. When I was trained as an Aviation Ordnanceman in the USN, we still had the directions for making actual Napalm in our manuals. There was an actual device used to combine and make it. Also, it has three parts, not two.
Finally!!! Less school science and more backyard science!!!!! And fire!!!!!!!😈 Don’t get me wrong though. Grace was amazing! She just didn’t give out that backyard hack vibe and felt a little more like a school teacher. Im still here though.🤘 Lets see where this channel goes next.
Wonderful. it really feels like an old friend has returned. I will happily say that I am resubscribing, and looking forward to many more great videos such as this one. It would have been nice to know how long they burnt before you had to put them out, but that's just a nitpick.
A much younger version of myself used to do the low density styrofoam and the soap methods in the early 2000s. In my experience, literally jamming the styrofoam in, forcing it against the bottom of the container with some pressure, would vastly speed up the desolving process. Just an FYI
Love ya lots, TKOR crew. So glad to have grown up to watching Grant's amazing videos. Rest in Power, but at the same time more power to you guys too! Definitely excited for these new vids!
I’m 21 now and I was watching grant back when I was maybe 13-14 years old, this new guy is awesome! Bring out the Lego napalm! I’ve seen other comments about this but he even sounds like grant sometimes, just turned on notifications!
