20:21 - That expresion on Mandy face tells everything, Harold interrupted the moment very quickly but it is still hard to miss, i really hope he paid those 5 bucks to Gladys. Extra points for watching at x0.25.
Mandy is one of my favorite characters ever. I always felt she's rather complex, just also subtle. She's protective and intimidating yet she's also usually willing to solve things without violence or needless cruelty. She distrusts others and when they prove to be a threat she takes pleasure in dominating them. She's annoyed with stupidity as she never has anyone at her level of intelligence and when she does they're usually trying to kill or trick her or billy. Yet we can see with Billy (and sometimes even Grim) that if she deems you her friend that she will stop at nothing to keep you safe. Maybe it's out of a selfish power obsession and not liking others "messing with her things." Or maybe she's fiercely loyal and values someone who isn't a threat to her so much that she's willing to endanger herself to protect them. She's not threatened by others need to harass and bully her and Billy... She's annoyed by it, she's superior to everyone she meets even tricking death itself and yet everyone constantly disrespects and dismisses her for being a little girl. I'd be sassy and bitter if i was her too lmao.
Billy is literally the Yin to her Yang. The balancing act that keeps her centered. The Ray of sunshine in her dark world. In other words a friend. Watching this show back when I was a kid, I wouldn't have even noticed nor valued that type of relationship. But after growing up it really hits different.
“Dear! Billy’s fallen in love with a girl! If she’s human, you owe me five bucks.” I forgot this line existed in the show, and my god has it made my day being reminded it exists.
23:22 I’ve never seen Mandy felt Completely Emotional before. This was the first time I’ve seen her felt such a strong emotion of grief. I knew then this was the killing point for Mandy where she has GENUINELY expressed her Complete Love and Care for Billy. It was Absolutely Touching seeing her Pitiful Face say everything she felt for him in this one scene. All of her thoughts, feelings, and Compassion for Billy has been laid down in this very moment.... It’s funny because I instantly had the same exact expression and emotion she felt throughout the end when she stared down into the water until Billy appeared and immediately had a change of mood and went poker face again since it was kind of embarrassing being all emotional a moment ago to a dweeb face like Billy and just suddenly revealed himself to be alive and happy out of nowhere, which I’m pretty sure that she still must’ve felt a great relief deep down inside her.
23:46 i remember being pretty emotional seeing this. I didn't think it was like Mandy to care this much for anybody, so to see her think she lost someone as close with her as Billy really hit hard.
ITunes rips. Only season 1 and a couple of misc other episodes were released on dvd. CN refuses to release the rest of the series on dvd. If it didn't look good it was from bootleg dvds
I honestly think a comparison is to be made between them and Billy's parents. Billy and Harold are both flat out brain dead with Mandy and his mom are well, his mom is definitely not Mandy level but still
I love that between her greatest fear being her as a sweet old lady and her falling in love with the school bad boy and hating it, her greatest fear is losing her edge. She wants to be strong and feared and works to stay as icy as possible. Still her moments come through where for as cruel and heartless as she can be she’s not as bad as she wants to be.
And why does it always have to be romantic hmmm? Why is it a girl/boy being protective of someone is automatically because they are in love with said person. Just shows how bad society is nowadays. Boys and girls cant just be friends anymore, they HAVE to be romatically involved cuz shippers demand it.
@@Lvl1.Sentry I'm saying her having romantic feelings for him is far from a certainty but he's... Her only friend? One of the very few people she would actively fight to keep around her, that's love.

I would say Mandy became somewhat flanderized as the series went on. I fully support BxM, i think the point is they are friends in the show (in part due to their age), but they may become something more in the future, for a lot of reasons, and this was already showed in the show, one of them is Mandy is not going to be able to keep Billy under her control from her position as friend forever. Is she going to ever allow Billy to get close to other girls? she tried to stop this at least twice and the 3rd (Blandy) had already happened by the time she found out and she was very worried at that moment. 20:21 - That expresion on Mandy face tells everything, Harold interrupted the moment very quickly but it is still hard to miss, i really hope he paid those 5 bucks to Gladys. Extra points for watching at x0.25.
She was seriously jealous the entire episode, loved that.
wow
She reacts the same when she hearsBlandy's name at 20:58, even the same sound.
Gladys owed Harold
The best part is that at 20:36, she's actually describing herself.
16:45 the punch from Mandy is saying, "Don't be so selfish."
"Because the Grim Adventures of Mandy doesn't sound as good as Billy and Mandy" -Mandy breaking the fourth wall.
Grim: "I guess you're right."

Breaking the fourth wall is one of the favored pass times of the show.

If she’s human, you owe me five bucks.”
I forgot this line existed in the show, and my god has it made my day being reminded it exists.
That's gotta be my favorite scene

Jeez, it's kinda unusual to see Billy and Mandy clips in such good quality. Every time I see one, it's always crappy looking.

So true.
@@jeaninatheneko86 like attracts like
She loves the boy, romantically... debatable, highly debatable, but for her standards, she's very affectionate.
@@Broomer52pff I know for a fact that if Mandy and Billy date Billy would make sure Mandy still has her edge
And why does it always have to be romantic hmmm? Why is it a girl/boy being protective of someone is automatically because they are in love with said person. Just shows how bad society is nowadays. Boys and girls cant just be friends anymore, they HAVE to be romatically involved cuz shippers demand it.

Lol Mandy is surprisingly blessed I never noticed her reactions besides her being angry all the time but her rare moments of bewilderment or worry make her character that much more engaging
I would say Mandy became somewhat flanderized as the series went on. From being just a cynical and witty little girl to being evil incarnate really downplayed the fact Mandy did have humanity early on.
She went from tea parties being a legitimate form of leisure to being disgusted at the thought of it.
the evil aura from one of the pilots probably made her evil while the series proceeded
Yeah she definitely got flanderized
It's nice to see an expression other than anger on Mandy's face. Even if it's fear/worry.

@@Evil_Teddy_Toybox Most of the scenes in this video are very subjective, so it is very hard to argue either way. So yeah, im fully convinced, for that and many other reasons.
im planing to do another two Billy and Mandy videos, one of then is a "BxM moments" one with less subjective scenes and a little analysis.
