Mandy's feelings towards Billy are so interesting. She might seem like a one-dimensional hate filled character, but it's weird to think for some reason out of anyone, she actually cares about Billy. A lot of times any other character from a show that's portrayed as hateful as Mandy, they'd probably let Billy get hurt and wait for him to return but Mandy will actually go out of her way to keep Billy safe. It's so endearing and kinda refreshing to see that of character portrayal. It's not in your face, but your really gotta pay attention.
It is so suprising to me that so many people only realised that Mandy cared about Billy with the movie... i mean, come on, it was very clear. Mandy may be one of the most misunderstood characters ever.
I think part of it is that billy acknowledges mandy's flaws, and has the gonads to stand up to mandy when no one else would dare. He just genuinely _likes_ mandy and thinks of her as a friend, rather than an opponent or a threat. Mandy's never had anything like that before; everyone she's ever met fears her, or just obsessively worships/submits to her (Irwin) she protects billy because he treats her like a human, and not like a deity or devil, and to lose him would be to lose her own humanity.
Yep, they play it pretty low key but she never actually outright denies Billy's affection or advances. Theres comedic slapstick or reactions but never a no. You also notice ALOT of the series takes place at Billy's house and rarely Mandy's. I'd wager shes so starved for love just being near Billy and his family is very important to her. I remember in "keeper of the reaper" her parents flat out say they are more afraid of her then love her. Say what you will about the craziness of the Billy's household but Harold and Gladys love Billy. Sprinkle ontop how immensely kind Billy is to her and hes basically irreplaceable to her. The horrible truth is I really think she needs him more than he needs her. Billy is downright lovable but Mandy is VERY Abrasive. This series is honestly one of the few where the characterization of its cast never really breaks.

But Billy has other male friends and she does not seems to give a crap about, yet, Mandy is his only female friend, and what happened with Dora is a huge clue of what has been going on, she gets in the way to push other girls away from him, thats pure, raw, jealousy. But even if you see it as "maintaining your place in power" you have to accept that it is inevitable that Billy will start pursuing other girls and he will give less and less attention to her. There is no way that she can mantain that control she has over him from her position as a friend for much longer. The Blandy episode is a clear example of this, at any time she is not following him, that may happen, and then she will be unable to do anything about it other than let it run his course.
@@shivanSpS Billy's current friends are clearly not a threat. Mandy probably sees girls as more of a threat because if Billy gets a romantic interest in someone, it is generally more of a threat than a platonic interest. Mandy would probably have the same reaction if he made a friend who began to consume his time, but I think she's more afraid of girls because of the potential of a romantic interest that will naturally consume his time and interest. Homeboy, that’s still jealousy, not in a romantic sense, but envying someone because they hold a greater position than you did is quite literally the definition of jealousy.
But why would someone concerned with raw power want to have dominion over Billy, who is almost always a setback? That's why people think she actually cares for him.
if you look at the fact that mandy enjoys being the smartest in the room and that she prefers being in control and considered the superior so her relationship with billy makes more sense considering he is the dumbest, the inferior and since billy never takes control its pretty much always for mandy to take

I know psychology said that we might end up marrying someone who reminds us of our parents but...wow .... That's one way to put it ... Such competitive spirit between these two... And AGAINST EACH OTHER!? Whoa...
Billy matters to Mandy; Mandy is arguably either hated or feared by endsville's residents, but Billy is arguably the closest person to her. Mandy keeps Billy safe and makes sure that Billy is ok, going as far as to be protective when the situation calls for it.
That one part where little Harold and Corn--I mean, Gladys, were near the bathroom was so sweet. Especially when Harold said, "I love you just the way you are!"
MK x Billy and Mandy just sounds amazing. I can imagine the story being something like Billy and Mandy's souls being of high value due to their connection to Grim so Shang kidnaps one of them(likely Billy) and somehow it plays into some larger threat which causes Raiden to confer with Grim and Mandy. Shang could even enlist Boogie to his side or even Him from Powerpuff girls since the shows reside in the same universe
Mandy is like the big sister who dislikes their younger brother but loves them with all their heart and got stuck babysitting with the babysitter who’s not actually doing his job a.k.a. Grimm
Maybe she does have feelings for him. But that toxic kind, where she won’t let him be around other girls because she’s the alpha female and no one challenges her superiority.
i think in mommy fiercest it wasn't so much jealousy as someone actually threatening to question mandy's absolute authority that she got confrontational.
Srsly her attitude in that episode reeked of projecting and jealousy. Especially since they only ever said billy was in love, they never said the girl liked him back or anything. Yet Mandy jumped to insulting the girl
Man just watching this video just through me into a loop of nostalgia I remember when I was young watching Billy and Mandy it was one of my favorite shows of all time but if you're a true fan you know Mandy's definitely there for Billy even though she bullies him from time to time ❤️❤️ it's that type of friendship where there like siblings
I was new at the worst times and ngl, even tho I was and still am a huge introvert, it would’ve been nice to have someone like Billy who’s being legit when they’re excited to meet a new kid
This honestly makes sense for Mandy, she might have seem him as a person to do whatever she says but we can tell and she shows that deep down she actually does care for Billy legitimately. Even in the one she takes over the world she admits it and makes sure to have plenty of back up billies so she would never be without his company
Well, she has been show to get worried and fight back when Billy gets too close to other girls. The Mommy Fiercest episode is a full episode of Mandy fighting for Billy and defaults back to "not care anymore" when the threat is removed. It is very clear that there are feelings there she is fighting off, because she belives that makes her weak.
I very much enjoyed this show growing up. I remember when I had to draw something that involved a room or walls to fill in the background for school work. I’d do my version of that poster in Billy’s room with the cat and dog holdings paws with the “let’s share” on it.

Mandy is arguably the scariest "little girl" in cartoon history
I couldn't argue with u even if I tried and I thought Stewie was a scary child at first.
Yeah
True mandy is literally feared. Her parents are even scared of her.
@@MossPathway Luckily, Billy is the only one that isn’t afraid of her
Mandy vs Louise Belcher lmfao
Pause at 3:42/3:43 Harold interrupts the scene too quickly. you never see that worried expresion on Mandy face, even when she is in risk of dying.
"Come! Let's go not talk to each other for months at a time!"
- Harold, lol
In other words, wicked and manipulative woman like dumbos they feel dominant towards
Platonic relationship
4:29 “YOU LIE!” 🤣 I love this voice actor
When i was a child, the scene with Billy's parents in the bathroom line was hilarious! And it still is!
Mandy doesn’t hate new kids, she hates competition for Billy’s Heart.
More like control for the friend slave Billy is
@@guilhermehank4938 she’s already enslaved most of humanity and even death incarnate and worries about controlling billy, the idiot?
@@hobomike6935 Yes
“When has Billy ever had anything in common with a human let alone a girl”
I feel like this cartoon was making fun of me years in advance
Billys mom versus Mandy
I know psychology said that we might end up marrying someone who reminds us of our parents but...wow .... That's one way to put it ... Such competitive spirit between these two... And AGAINST EACH OTHER!? Whoa...
Mandy wins hands down
Billy matters to Mandy; Mandy is arguably either hated or feared by endsville's residents, but Billy is arguably the closest person to her. Mandy keeps Billy safe and makes sure that Billy is ok, going as far as to be protective when the situation calls for it.
That one part where little Harold and Corn--I mean, Gladys, were near the bathroom was so sweet. Especially when Harold said, "I love you just the way you are!"
"Well i don't make any life altering decisions without consulting Mr.Bread first" -Billy
A quote till this day is inspiring
5:22 When your crush talks to someone
*My shiper heart is so satisfied*
No. Eww.
What’s wrong with you..
(This is just a comment and nothing more, I didn't mean to disgust anyone, but I am sorry in advance)
I ship billy with bread
😶
"Why not let Billy decide who he wants to be dominated by?"
Zone: It's free real estate
Nostalgia at its finest. Billy and Mandy is a classic.
I like how Billie’s mom put down that penguin movie for violence and smutt yet sits there laughing with them all while the movie is playing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
People think he's all his dad, but he gets the crazy from his mom.
4:08 R.I.P. Grim 2000-2006, he got beaten to death with a sock by Billy
4:40 "Shapeshifting monster from the Nether realm." IDK if I'm crazy, but my Mortal Kombat sense is tingling.
2:05 that line is very concerning
Ikr
Billy is very blessed 😳
What’s so concerning about that line?
Is there an innuendo I’m missing or something?
I've seen way too much Femdom doujins.
2:02
5:13 But what I didn’t planned on was fallin’ in love~🎵
Mandy is like the big sister who dislikes their younger brother but loves them with all their heart and got stuck babysitting with the babysitter who’s not actually doing his job a.k.a. Grimm
Kissxsis
TIL Jennifer Hale voices Billy’s mom. What a badass, amazing actor. I mean everyone in this show was fantastic casting and acting all around.
And Irwin's actress voices Sheeva in Mortal Kombat 11
Wow. She sounds so different than her work as FemShep.
4:08 This is absolutely hilarious
Billy has the power to beat up death itself
@@LarsTonguesInAspix with a sock btw
"C'mon! Let'sgonottalktoeachotherformonthsatatime." Best line in the whole series!
“Billy’s fallen in love with a girl! If she’s human you owe me $5!” Lmfao 😂
Glady is insane and controling and billys dad is stupid but somehow charms her
Looks like the saying is sorta true, "you tend to date or marry someone similar to your parent of the opposite sex" more or less paraphrased
Maybe she does have feelings for him. But that toxic kind, where she won’t let him be around other girls because she’s the alpha female and no one challenges her superiority.
not really toxic it's called CHEMISTRY
That’s a likely possibility
It could also be why she turns Irwin down a lot lol
i think in mommy fiercest it wasn't so much jealousy as someone actually threatening to question mandy's absolute authority that she got confrontational.
I miss this show so much.
When Billy says “Mandyyy” at the beginning, I can hear Moxie say “Millieeee”
Because of Helluva Boss, I can't watch The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and Invader Zim without thinking of Moxxie now
@@beingweirdisnormal8409that show sucked
@@beingweirdisnormal8409i grew up on Billy and Mandy so for me its the opposite
3:43 I don't know what's more funny; Billy's dad's reaction or the fact that he made a bet with his wife😂😂😂.
"So who's this pathetic, lonely, desperate, desperate, desperate, desperate, desperate, desperate creature?"
Damn, Mandy. Projectin' a little bit, ain't we?
Srsly her attitude in that episode reeked of projecting and jealousy. Especially since they only ever said billy was in love, they never said the girl liked him back or anything. Yet Mandy jumped to insulting the girl
So glad to see the resurgance of Billy and Mandy
I like how c.h. greenblatt keeps appearing as a reference in shows
Man just watching this video just through me into a loop of nostalgia I remember when I was young watching Billy and Mandy it was one of my favorite shows of all time but if you're a true fan you know Mandy's definitely there for Billy even though she bullies him from time to time ❤️❤️ it's that type of friendship where there like siblings
I love that Mandy is ready toe tag a girl that makes a move on Billy
4:30
Can we talk about how Billy turned into Zim when he yelled “you lie!”
His voice actor is really letting his Zim voice out xddd
“Who’s that bozo with my Corn?” 😂😂😂
When Billy jumped at Grim and shouting"I will kill you!"made me laugh
I was new at the worst times and ngl, even tho I was and still am a huge introvert, it would’ve been nice to have someone like Billy who’s being legit when they’re excited to meet a new kid
5:22 so THATS where I got that. I've been saying things like that for years now.
Corn: "I got an idea, Mandy, why not let Billy decide who he wants to be dominated by?"
Me: W H AT T H E F U C K
This is one of the reasons why Mandy is my favorite character in the show
"let Billy decide who he wants to be dominated by"
That sounds very suggestive...
This honestly makes sense for Mandy, she might have seem him as a person to do whatever she says but we can tell and she shows that deep down she actually does care for Billy legitimately. Even in the one she takes over the world she admits it and makes sure to have plenty of back up billies so she would never be without his company
4:25-4:28 When even Mandy shows legit concern/worry, BAD STUFF'S JUST HIT THE FAN. LIKE, REALLY BAD
4:49 mandy casually threatens creature from the nether realm (and gets away with it)
5:24 twice
"Why not let billy decide who he wants to be dominated by"
Billy is gonna have a mommy thing when he’s older. No fucking doubt. And I hate it
"C'mon let's go not talk to eachother for months at a time!!" GOT DAYUM
😂😂😂
Love how chaotic this show was
3:42 just proved she like him cause why that face 😂😂😂😂😂
Somebody was letting out their personal feelings when they wrote the mommy dominating episode😭
Mcfly , McFly!
That green doll in the tickle me Mandy episode was scary yet adorable at the same time but the way how Mandy her…….DAMN😂😂😂😂😂
“get ta steppin’ ”
“my style is that I hate everything” 😂😂😅😅
Since when does Mandy feels Jealous?
Mandy has been known to show affection towards Billy on occasion.
Well, she has been show to get worried and fight back when Billy gets too close to other girls. The Mommy Fiercest episode is a full episode of Mandy fighting for Billy and defaults back to "not care anymore" when the threat is removed. It is very clear that there are feelings there she is fighting off, because she belives that makes her weak.
apparently since this video
Since the 1990's
In... episodes.
Season 3 Be Like:
"Dear! Dear! Billy's fallen in love with a girl, if she's human you owe me 5 bucks!"
🤣🤣🤣
I very much enjoyed this show growing up.
I remember when I had to draw something that involved a room or walls to fill in the background for school work. I’d do my version of that poster in Billy’s room with the cat and dog holdings paws with the “let’s share” on it.
“C’mon lets go not talk to each for months at a time” god the writers were so good
I think Billy's parents are the only ones who would throw hands with Mandy. Cause Harold is dumb and Gladys don't care
Sperg would at times. I want to say Mindy would go up against her but not in a physical fight.
5:22 me to the Grim Reaper for taking Akira Toriyama from us.
“I’m not jealous! I’m POSSESSIVE! There is a difference”
5:50 just remembered how bad that teacher was in this show 🤣
In what way?
I loved Billy and Mandy’s relationship. I want to be someone’s Billy one day.
I also love Billy’s parents relationship.
Mom is crazy as hell and dad is dumb as bricks. A bit toxic but they’re compatible. Beautiful.
Moments in 3:42 and 4:03 are one of my favorites, Mandy's expressions say a lot, like "Billy can't have another (girl) friend"
