Taka's vocals are the real deal. He has the perfect mix of angst/desperation but also you can clearly tell he's professionally trained. ONE OK ROCK is one of the rare bands that sound better live over their studio version. They've said that the studio versions act like an invitation to see the real thing and I just love that approach! You should check out 'We Are' and 'Renegade' from their concert in Japan. Japanese crowds are very different compared to western crowds. They are much more respectful and a bit reserved. However, Taka as a frontman does amazing with crowd control and audience participation. Fun fact: A lot of people have said his tone, especially when he does more screams, reminds them of Chest Bennington. They were actually good friends and were supposed to go on tour together. Unfortunately, he passed away before that could happen. Shortly after, they ended up performing with Linkin Park as a tribute and celebration of life.

Nice comment. Taka holding the note 25+ seconds was amazing, especially with the audience singing backup for him. Notice also Toru singing so well, and the Ryota backing up the vocals. also love Japanese audience which does not get noisy but just merges with the vocalist so beautifully.
